Chapter 108 Linda Was Left Alone in the Bookstore

Those cadets were simple creatures. If you won their hearts, you would win their respects

And Bun had impressed them and earned their respects.

"Very well. Now let's take ten minutes to rest, and we'll resume our training."

Bun glanced at her watch, and there were still half an hour before the morning training was over. Bun

only took charge of the morning, and she was supposed to go to the bookstore with Linda in the

afternoon.

Lying on the ground, Sarah Shen was much better and less breathless after taking a long rest.

However, she could still feel the pain all over her body. And her cheeks were aching mildly but

persistently.

She hadn't worked out for quite a while, and therefore her body was apparently not used to the sudden

exercises.

It was really painful.

Ten minutes later, Bun asked them to stand at attention.

It was actually kind of an act of mercy, for standing still was much more comfortable than other

trainings. Bun was planning to go easy on them in the last half an hour.

But clearly Sarah Shen didn't think so. She still felt Bun was against her on purpose.

Sarah Shen's fury was almost reaching its zenith. She could barely sit up properly at the moment, and

how was she supposed to stand at attention? Standing upright meant more energy loss, and she would

only be more exhausted than she already had been.

However, others all took their positions and stood still at Bun's order. Though they were just as tired as

Sarah Shen was, they didn't want to give up.

Sarah Shen couldn't help cursing silently, "What the hell is wrong with these people? It's only a training

program. Do you seriously need to obey every word she said?"

She gave Bun a hostile look and yelled, "You are just picking on me, aren't you? Madam! I know we

had some issues, but this is police officers academy! Aren't you afraid I report you to the authority?"

"As you said, this is the police officers academy, not your own house. We are now in the middle of your

training program, and I'm your instructor, which means you have to obey my order. Take a look around.

Everyone else is standing here just as you do. Or are you trying to ask for special treatment?"

Replied Bun sourly. And all of a sudden she thought of a phrase she once heard, "Drama queen".

"You!"

"What? Want to go back to running again? Chin up, chest out, shoulders back, stomach in and eyes

front! 25 more minutes to go! Come on! Unless you don't want to have lunch!"

Sarah Shen was too tired to talk back, and so she looked aside and said nothing more.

In the meantime, Brian Ho drove Linda to the nearby bookstore.

But Brian Ho left Linda alone in the store and went for Bun right after he got the address from Linda.

Linda felt so angry when she noticed that he had sneaked away.

"Charles, where are you?"

"Hmm? In the company."

"Linda is in the bookstore right now. You'd better come and get her. I'm not sure whether she will be

safe on her own."

"What do you mean? She is supposed to be at home and wait for Bun at this hour..."

"Well... It's a long story. And a quite complicated one, I'm afraid. Let's not talk about this right now.

Anyway, you go get Linda. I have got an emergency and I've got to run. Bye."

Brian Ho then hung up and sped up toward the academy where Bun worked.

And Brian Ho specially stopped by the flower shop to buy a bunch of 99 red roses as a surprise gift for

Bun.

Brian Ho had been planning to surprise Bun on his way there, and he couldn't wait any longer to see

Bun when he arrived at the institution. He passed the security check with his certificate of officers and

asked about where Bun was, and then he went to find her with the roses.

Although Brian Ho had left the army, he was still used to wearing his uniform in his daily life.

The epaulets of Major General was shining blazingly on his shoulders. And people couldn't help

face was hidden behind the flower.

looked charming enough. Then he slightly narrowed his eyes and stared at Bun.

However... His face turned ghastly pale two seconds later after he saw Sarah Shen in the crowd.

Brian Ho had no idea how he would end up in such a mess. What was Sarah Shen doing here? Wasn't

she the Deputy Director-General of the Municipal Public Security Bureau?

She should have graduated from the academy ages ago. How could she be on the training ground with

those freshmen?

People on the training field were either freshmen or instructors.

How could Sarah Shen not notice Brian Ho and the flower in his hands?
