When Sandy left, Stella was already asleep.

Sandy quietly placed the pre-written sticky notes next to Stella's hand and left on her own.

In the early morning hours of Manches City, the streets were sparsely populated. When she arrived at

the airport, the ticket check had just begun.

She completed all the procedures and boarded the plane.

Upon landing, dawn was nearly breaking.

Sandy had reserved a hotel nearest to the airport. She booked a few hours for a time-limited room, as

she intended to go see Brandon after sunrise.

Sandy hadn't slept much that night.

After having breakfast and sensing some discomfort in her stomach, Sandy quickly went to the

hospital, registering for an emergency visit.

As the increasing pain grew more intense, Sandy felt uneasy. Despite her words to Yanis yesterday,

Sandy was now feeling overwhelmed.

Ultimately, she picked up her phone and dialed Brandon's number.

However, Brandon's phone rang multiple times without being answered.

Sandy continued to dial one after another, but none of her calls connected to Brandon.

Soon, it was her turn to be examined. Lying on the bed during the examination, Sandy's heart was filled

with anxiety, fearing for the safety of the child.

Fortunately, after the examination, everything appeared to be normal.

Her stomachache was just that, a stomachache.

As time ticked by, after receiving all the test results, Sandy made another call to Brandon.

This time, the call connected. But before she could say anything, Sandy spotted a familiar tall figure in

the distance.

His face was filled with panic, and he held a person while frantically calling for a doctor.

Sandy stood frozen in place, watching as he urgently placed the person onto a bed and pleaded with

the doctors to save her.

It was a kind of panic and anxiety that Sandy had never seen from him before.

Even when she faced difficult situations, she had never seen such an expression on his face.

Sandy didn't know how long she stood there. It was long enough for her to feel a bit unsteady.

She was not one to back down when faced with adversity. Thus, she didn't intend to leave silently.

After regaining her composure, Sandy adjusted her emotions and took slow steps towards Brandon.

As she got closer, her pace unconsciously slowed down.

Though only a couple of steps away, throughout the entire time, Brandon kept his head down, never

once looking up.

Previously, whenever she appeared, Brandon always noticed her immediately.

However, now, despite her being so close, he still didn't seem to realize her presence.

Only when Sandy stood right in front of him did Brandon finally raise his head, a look of shock crossing

his face.

Sandy met his gaze, watching as his expression shifted from shock to panic, and finally, he hurriedly

stood up, his voice slightly shaky, "Sandy, you…"

"Where's your phone?"

Sandy didn't let him finish his sentence before asking.

Brandon, hearing Sandy's question, hesitated for a moment, then reached into his pocket but couldn't

find his phone. He thought for a moment before responding, "My phone might be at…"

He trailed off because there was a high possibility that his phone was at the Duncan family estate.

Hence, in front of Sandy, he didn't dare to finish his sentence.

Brandon had originally planned to return home tonight. However, when he was leaving the office to go

back, he received a call from the Duncan family, saying they wanted to discuss something with him.

As they were his elders, Brandon naturally couldn't refuse and decided to go see them since he had no

other pressing matters.

Little did he know that upon arriving at the Duncan family estate, he could hear arguing and things

being thrown around.

Standing at the entrance, he felt that he, as an outsider, probably wouldn't be welcome in such a

situation.

Just as he was considering turning around and leaving, the tightly shut door suddenly swung open,

revealing Olive Qianyi on the other side.

With no other option, Brandon had to step inside.

Both of the Duncan family parents were present, and the living room was a mess.

Due to the awkward atmosphere, after a brief silence, Mrs. Longman stood up, greeted Brandon, and

then quickly tidied up the living room.

Afterward, everyone sat down.

Mr. Longman was the first to speak. He turned to look at Brandon and, in the tone of an elder, inquired

about his recent situation.

"Doing fine," Brandon replied succinctly.

Mr. Longman glanced at Olive Qianyi, then back at Brandon, lowering his voice as he asked, "Heard

you're getting married?"

Brandon didn't hide anything, simply nodding toward Mr. Longman. "Yes."

"Which family's young lady is it?" Mr. Longman asked.

In fact, the recent online rumors had caused quite a stir, and Mr. Longman couldn't possibly be

unaware.

After all, Mr. Longman wasn't behind the times. In this era of advanced technology and information,

even if he didn't learn it online, he would have heard about it from someone else.

Thus, upon hearing Mr. Longman's question, Brandon fell silent for a few seconds before answering in

a subdued tone, "From Manches City."

Mr. Longman seemed like he wanted to say something else, but at that moment, Olive Qianyi stood up

and looked at Brandon, her voice soft as she called out, "Brandon."

Brandon looked at Olive Qianyi when he heard her voice.

Olive Qianyi continued, her voice low, "I have something to say to you. Can we talk privately?"

After meeting Olive Qianyi's gaze, Brandon hesitated for a few seconds before nodding. "Sure."

Olive Qianyi said, "Let's go upstairs."

With that, Olive Qianyi headed upstairs.

Brandon nodded to Mr. Longman and Mrs. Longman before following Olive Qianyi upstairs.

Once Brandon and Olive Qianyi had left, Mr. Longman and Mrs. Longman exchanged glances, then let

out deep sighs.

Mr. Longman murmured softly, "She still can't let

go, after all."

Mrs. Longman furrowed her brow, adding, "Back then, I shouldn't have let her go abroad. But at the

time, she was so determined, and I was worried that if I held her back, I might have hindered her if she

didn't end up with Brandon."

When Olive Qianyi broke up with Brandon, it was because she believed there was limited room for

growth in Viteto. She wanted to become more accomplished so she could stand proudly by Brandon's

side.

And now, she had indeed achieved great success. However, the person by Brandon's side was no

longer her.

As Mr. Longman listened to Mrs. Longman's words, he could only let out a deep sigh.

Meanwhile, in the room upstairs…

Olive Qianyi and Brandon were sitting face to face.

"What did you want to say?" Brandon was the first to break the silence.

Hearing his question, Olive Qianyi finally raised her gaze to meet his. Her voice barely above a

whisper, she asked, "Are you really going to marry someone else?"

Upon hearing Olive Qianyi's words, Brandon's brow furrowed slightly. "We've been together for so

many years."
