Chapter 1066 Julien Would Punish the Media Outlets

'Don't think I'm jealous!'

The truth was, Luke was pissed off.

Luke was upset. His back was hunched. He was giving off a sour and bitter vibe.

Sydney was the woman he loved, and Julien was his rival.

Now Julien was asking Sydney to give him a kiss in front of him. Certainly, Luke was pissed off, but he couldn't do anything about it.

They were a couple, while Luke was an outsider.

Luke took a deep breath, and then turned away. He wouldn’t look at them.

Seeing Luke turn his head to the side, Julien gave a smug look.

Julien did it on purpose.

He was deliberately trying to irritate Luke and make him frustrated.

Julien was not happy that Luke had said so much to rebuke him earlier, so he was getting back at Luke.

Sydney didn't know Julien’s intention. She felt even more embarrassed when she saw Luke turn around.

She realized Luke was embarrassed by their little flirting.

And Sydney knew Luke had feelings for her. Flirting with Julien in front of him was literally humiliating him, so Sydney decided to call it off.

She slapped Julien's arm and gave him a sulky glare. "All right. Stop it."

As she said that, she pointed her chin at Luke, who had his back to them while playing the video game with loud music.

She implied that they shouldn't do that in front of Luke.

But Julien didn't care about it. He would be happy if other people saw them flirting, which clearly showed what a happy couple they were.

He was especially excited to have Luke there.

But Sydney wouldn't do it, so Julien had to give it up. He returned to his seat and said, "Okay. I won't insist."

On the other end of the line, Zach couldn't see what was going on, but from their conversation, he could probably guess what Julien had done.

'I guess there's someone else. Mr. Flint tried to make an intimate move on Ms. Raines, but Ms. Raines turned him down.' And Zach probably guessed who was with the couple.

'Two people were involved in this incident. One is Ms. Raines and the other is Mr. Chase, so I guess it's Mr. Chase. Well, it’ interesting.'

Just as Zach was speculating in his mind, Julien said to the phone, 'Get a good lawyer after you've gathered all the evidence. Jerry is not only going to spend the rest of his life in jail, he's going to lose all his assets."

Zach understood what Julien meant by a ‘good’ lawyer.

He pushed his glasses upward and replied, "Yes, Mr. Flint. I'll make an arrangement. But what do you want to do with Jerry's assets?"

Julien looked at Sydney.

Sydney thought for a moment. Then instantly, her eyes sparkled. "Since he's taken a lot of bribes and made up stories to defame people, distribute his money to all the victims as his compensation to them. He deserves that."

Hearing Sydney's suggestion, Zach complimented, "Good idea."

Julien sneered, "Was that your idea too?"

Zach choked. The corners of his mouth twitched.

'I was stupid, but I really think Ms. Raines had a great idea. I really admire her, so I blurted it out.'

However, Zach said what Mr. Flint wanted to say and stole Julien's chance to flatter Sydney.

Zach sighed. He regretted it.

Sydney understood why Zach became silent. She covered her lips and smiled.

"Julien, don't be so harsh on Zach."

Zach nodded repeatedly.

'Ms. Sydney is a smart woman. I should have been more cautious with my words to avoid annoying Mr. Flint.'

As Sydney spoke up for Zach, Julien compressed his lips and said, "Fine, I won't be harsh to him."

'Getting Leaf to speak up for him, he's good. I'm letting it go now. When I go to the office, I'll deal with him.'

Zach didn't know Julien had born this idea in his mind. He said to Sydney repeatedly, "Thank you, Ms. Raines. Thank you."

'If Ms. Raines hadn't spoken up for me, Mr. Flint would never have gone easy on me.'

"No need to thank me. Alright. Get back to your business." Sydney was embarrassed by Zach's thanks.

She hadn't done anything but just been fair to Zach. She didn't think she'd done Zach any favors and that Zach needed to thank her. Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.

It was no big deal to her.

"Okay, Ms. Raines," Zach responded. Then he composed himself and said seriously to Julien, "Mr. Flint, I know what to do with Jerry. But what about the others on the Squirrel team?"

At Zach's words, Sydney immediately looked to Julien, "I don't care what you do with the Squirrel team, but I promised the secretary a position in your company. She helped me get the recording, so..."

"I understand." Julien nodded and then said to the phone, "Did you hear that?"

"Yes, Mr. Flint, I'll take care of it," Zach replied with a smile.

Sydney was relieved since Julien gave her his consent. She then gave Julien an apologetic smile. "Sorry for the trouble. I wanted to find out who did it, so I gave her that promise. I hope it doesn't give you too much trouble."

Julien frowned. "It's no big deal. How is it troublesome? I told you I'd support you in whatever you wanted to do. Don't worry about getting me in trouble. If you're always worried about getting me in trouble, I'll get mad."

Sydney understood what Julien meant. She gave a smile. "Sorry. I won't do it again."

"Good. "Julien stroked her hair. Then his face darkened. He said to Zach, "Except for the secretary, get other innocent staff jobs at other companies. Fire all the employees who were involved in the incident."

That literally meant acquiring the Squirrel team.

Zach immediately responded, "Yes, Mr. Flint."

"Did you get the list of the media outlets that retweeted or added fuel to that story?" Julien narrowed his eyes and asked.

Zach replied, "Yes. There are twelve media outlets in total. Those media outlets leeched the clout of that story. They thought the story was true as we didn’t respond to it. They believed you were breaking up with Ms. Raines, so they wanted to make it a hit from the story, but some of them are still watching how things play out. They haven't done anything yet."

Julien ordered, "For those media outlets that leeched the trout, we're going to punish them and help their opponents. I'm not going to go easy on them since they asked for it. For the media outlets that didn't take action but participated, give them a warning."

"Yes," Zach responded.
