The Supreme Man: Took Everything in Power

Chapter 873 Clear Boundaries

Chapter 873 Clear Boundaries

Kingsley believed Xaria, the leader of Team Nightcrawler, would be cautious enough to protect her identity for the sake of her operation in the Empire of Qustia. However, he couldn't understand why she would have a doll with traditional attire that had strong cultural elements from the Empire of the Setting Sun on it at home.

"This doll brings me good luck, so I don't really care where it was made." Xaria laughed it off with a smile. She then gazed at Kingsley and asked, "Anyway, I don't get why you would ask that question, Mr. Nicholson. This doll is nothing but a simple item for decoration. Is its place of origin so important to you? It's just something from the Empire of the Setting Sun that I love. Do you have a problem with that?"

"Of course not." Kingsley remained composed and responded naturally. "I have no discrimination against the Empire of the Setting Sun. In fact, it seems to me that the country possesses some unique qualities when it comes to manufacturing. It’s just that the doll's appearance kind of looks strange to me, and I didn’t think you’d be daring enough to put it right in the middle of your living room." The man then added jokingly, "Anyway, I’m glad that I’m a person who doesn’t get scared easily. If it was someone else who came here today, he or she would probably get scared out of their wits."

After hearing Kingsley's words, Xaria began to lighten up a bit. "I'm usually alone because I hardly get visitors. So, there's no need for me to worry about scaring others." She chuckled.

"Did you just say you hardly get visitors?" Kingsley raised his eyebrows and purposely asked, "Don’t you have friends or relatives around Cleapolis, Miss Heart?" Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.

Xaria shook her head as a gesture of agreement. "No, I don't need friends or relatives because I'm used to my current solitary life anyway." She then changed her tune and added, "However, I would be delighted to have a friend like you, Mr. Nicholson."

She gently rubbed Kingsley's shoulder with her slender fingers, speaking with a seductive voice.

"I hope you can come to my place more often, Mr. Nicholson."

While a man would likely lose his mind in response to Xaria's seduction, Kingsley remained steady and calm as shown by the conviction in his eyes. After all, it seemed to him that his target, Xaria Kelly, who was also known by the codename Stork, had just let down her guard toward him.

Great! Now, she believes I'm just the God of Medicine with no connections to the military whatsoever. This is going to benefit my situation as I lurk in the shadows by her side. Kingsley smiled at the thought of that.

"Of course, Miss Heart. I'd be more than happy to be your friend and a lovely companion to offer you some comfort in Cleapolis." Kingsley then let go of Xaria's hand and reached for his phone. "Miss Heart, now that we are friends, you could contact me directly in the future without going through Miss Jeanne. This is my phone number. Please kindly save it or jot it down somewhere so that you can buzz me. Anytime you need something, just reach out to me. After all, Miss Jeanne and I are not exactly close with each other."

Xaria glanced at the phone screen and smiled lightly. "Okay, I have your number now, but I have a question, Mr. Nicholson. Haven't you and Victoria always considered each other something like brothers in arms or something?"

"Miss Jeanne runs Jeanne Gang, and she is undeniably a force to be reckoned with in the underworld. Therefore, I've been flattering her because I want to secure my place against the other gangs." Kingsley chuckled. "Nevertheless, now that my power and influence have grown stronger, I don't need to rely on her for protection anymore. For that, we could be fighting each other for territories in the future. So, do you know why I'm telling you all this now? I don't want to put you in a difficult position."

Xaria understood what Kingsley said and nodded, covering her mouth while chuckling. "So, you're saying you seduced Victoria to your advantage, aren't you?" She gazed at Kingsley seductively. "Alright then, if I have to choose one of you as my friend, I'd go for you."

When Xaria seemingly believed his words, Kingsley heaved a sigh of relief, thinking she would never bother Victoria again. After that, he quickly shifted the attention away from Victoria by changing the subject. "By the way, I thought you mentioned that a friend of yours had fallen sick lately. Let's pay that friend a visit, shall we?"
