The Supreme Man: Took Everything in Power

Chapter 874 Recognition Trouble

Chapter 874 Recognition Trouble

"Alright." Xaria pointed at the stairs. "He's in the bedroom on the second floor. Follow me." Upon finishing her sentence, she gracefully walked toward the stairs, which it was designed with magnificent decorations.

When they arrived on the second floor, Kingsley instinctively scanned his surroundings and realized the place had a luxurious-looking appearance but was rather desolate and empty. It looks like there hasn't been anyone who has lived here for a while.

"Miss Heart, you don't seem to live here often, do you?" Kingsley asked probingly.

"Yeah, you're right," Xaria replied calmly. "As you know, I'm the hotel manager of Jadeland Heights, which is located somewhere far from the city. I can't be traveling over hundreds of miles every day just to come back here, can I? Therefore, I often stay in the staff quarters in the mansion and only come back for a few days during holidays." Xaria was walking in front of Kingsley, failing to notice his reaction, but when she turned around, she happened to notice the glacial faint smile on Kingsley's face. Come on! Did you just say you often stayed in the staff quarters? Like hell, I'm going to buy that story! This house must be some kind of base for the Empire of the Setting Sun, although it doesn't seem to be frequently used. Aria’s place of residence must be somewhere else.

At the thought of that, Kingsley was reminded of the eerie-looking doll that he saw downstairs as he believed there was more than met the eye about that thing. Deep down, he didn't believe Xaria would place something that could potentially give away her identity like that in an open area such as the living room. While Kingsley was absorbed in his train of thought, he found himself led by Xaria to the bedroom at the furthest end of the floor.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

Xaria knocked on the door three times before opening it. "I brought you a doctor, Mr. Renner."

Mr. Renner? Kingsley's heart skipped a beat. Does Stork have any friends or relatives in Qustia?

As soon as Kingsley stepped into the room, his questions were immediately answered. It turned out that Boris was sitting at the desk where he was reading a book with a pair of glasses on.

"A doctor?" Boris stood up. "I told you my condition was not that serious. I'm merely suffering from mild amnesia, which doesn't affect me…" The man noticed Kingsley's presence behind the woman while still talking.

Slightly taken aback, Boris paused with his eyes fixed upon Kingsley. Although the young man looked rather familiar to him, he couldn't seem to place his face at all. "Who might this be, Miss K… Xaria?"

Although Boris usually addressed Xaria as Miss Kelly, he couldn't do that in the presence of an outsider. After all, Xaria's identity was still his main concern, considering how well she had already blended into Qustians.

She is too important to lose for the sake of Plan A! And the Empire of the Setting Sun! Thus, keeping her identity concealed is our utmost priority!

"Mr. Renner, he is the doctor I invited to treat you." Xaria smiled and said, "Don't be fooled by his youthful appearance because this man possesses the long-lost knowledge of traditional medicine. Therefore, I believe he has what it takes to cure your amnesia!"

"The long-lost knowledge of the traditional medicine?" Boris smiled immediately after hearing Xaria's words because she once mentioned that there was one man whose favor they should gain as he possessed the knowledge of Qustia's traditional medicine and art of healing.

"Oh, that's impressive! It's always nice to see young people with so much potential!" Boris emerged from behind the desk with his arms open. "How may I address you?"

"Nicholson is my last name." Kingsley curled his lips upward, finding Boris' smiling face amusing. After all, Boris harbored a strong grudge toward him back then when he was kept at Coliree Group.

Well, it looks like my acupuncture treatment has taken its toll on this man's memory. He doesn't seem to remember a thing about being kept at Coliree Group at all.

After Kingsley sat down on the couch, Xaria introduced Boris to him. "Mr. Nicholson, this man is a friend of my father, Marcus Renner. I brought you here today because I need your help to look into his condition."
