” I.. I.. I’m sorry ” Layla stuttered and bowed before rushing out of the office. Shane got up hurriedly while Brielle adjusted herself as she moved away from Shane.

” Gosh ” Shane sighed in frustration when he realized what just happened. ” Why the hell would you kiss me!!? ” He yelled angrily at Brielle and she flinched.

” Shane.. I.. ”

” I told you never to do that again!! ” He yelled again, ruffling his hair.

” I’m sorry ” Brielle pleaded.

” Now, you leave my office! ” He shouted and she rushed out immediately in fear.

” Claus! ” Shane called and almost in a rush, he rushed in. He was actually by the door when he saw Layla rush out in tears and then Brielle.

” Where did Layla go to? ” He asked calmly as he shut his eyes on the spot he stood.

” To her office ” Claus replied. ” Please bring her here ” He said more like an order.

Claus nodded before walking out of his office. Shane sighed as he brushed his hands with his hair. He had been planning to explain things to Layla and assure her that things would be fine but now he has a misunderstanding to clear off.

After some minutes, Layla finally walked in slowly like she had been forced and truthfully, Claus had to force her to come into Shane’s office.

” I’m here sire ” She said purposely with a bow, making sure she was distant enough from Shane. Shane sighed when he understood what she was trying to do.

” Layla.. ” He tried to move closer to her but she shifted backwards. ” I would explain everything.. please ” He said with a soft plead. ” Let me explain please ” He said again, moving closer and this time she didn’t move away.

Shane sighed in relief and when he finally got to her, he pulled her into his arms, hugging her tightly. Layla slowly hugged him back, feeling his warmth.

” I missed you ” Shane muttered in between the hug. ” She kissed you twice ” Layla replied instead but Shane could notice how sad those words sounded.

” I never reciprocated, I swear. It was forceful ” He replied her, still not breaking the hug. ” I’m scared and restless. I feel like I’m going to lose you ” Layla muttered, tightening her arms more around his back.

” I know, but I promise you, I would find a way. I just want her to settle down first. I will explain things to her ” He promised.

” Really? ” Layla asked and he nodded. She tightened her arms more again.” I really don’t want to lose you. I really don’t ” She muttered. ” You won’t, I promise ” Shane assured.

” Do you want us to spend the night at my private lounge? ” He asked and she nodded hurriedly. ” Yes, the two of us alone ” She said, biting her lips and Shane smiled.

” I will come pick you up at night at your apartment to avoid suspicions ” He said and she nodded.

** Shane’s Apartment **

” Shane, talk to me ” Brielle rushed after Shane who descended the stairs in a hurry. Brielle caught up with him by the door. ” Shane.. ” She called as she held his arms.

Shane let out a sigh. ” What is it? What do you want? ” Shane asked tiredly.

” Shane, I said I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to kiss you against your wish ” She pleaded.

” Alright, it’s fine now ” He said.

“Yo can’t leave me alone here ” She said and Shane let out a silent groan. ” I just wanna be alone for today, alright? I will be back tomorrow ” He said and gently release himself from her grip, he walked away.

Brielle let out a sigh before walking back inside in defeat.

** Shane’s Private Lounge **

” You should go shower first ” Shane said to Layla as they both entered his room.

Layla nodded as she walked away into the dressing room. There’s actually a dressing room which leads to the bathroom.

Layla undressed herself in there before walking into the big bathroom.

She stepped into the bathtub and let out a satisfying sigh as she enjoyed the warmth of the water.

Minutes later, she walked out of the bathroom and in the dressing room, she dried her body and her hair before putting on a night robe, with this, she walked out of the dressing room.

” I’m done ” She called Shane’s attention and he suddenly lost his breath at that moment. She was putting on a short night robe which barely reached her thighs. He was fascinated at the scene of her exposed thighs as he suddenly lost himself.

” No, I’m fine ” She said and he groaned inwardly. He nodded anyways. Shane walked over to his side of the bed and brought out his phone. He planned to cuddle with her all night but he’s scared to do that now. He thinks he might lose control if his hands touches her fresh skin or she might even get uncomfortable.

” I will be back ” Layla said and he nodded. She stood up and walked over to the dressing room. She adjusted the exposed part of her robe at the front and purposely made it more exposed. She made the upper part of her br**sts visible and she let out a seductive smile.
