” I know you must be shocked to see us here ” Mrs Brown started as Shane finally had his seat, still staring at them in suprise and with nervousness glaring on his face.

” Um yeah… I wasn’t expecting this and Layla never told me you two were.. ”

” She isn’t aware ” Mr Brown cut him off and he nodded. ” Oh ” He muttered.

” You really have a nice personality than expected. You know I and my wife are a good fan of your good works ” Mr Brown complimented.

” Thanks sir ” Shane muttered with a light bow and silence erupted for a while.

” Do you really love my daughter as much as she loves you? ” Mrs Brown suddenly asked. ” Huh? ” Shane asked as he raised his head.

” She seems to love you so much to defend you that much.. I mean.. ” She let out a little scoff.” She even talked back at me and shouted. She had never done that before ” Mrs Brown said and Shane bent his head a little.

” I’m sorry ” He muttered but Mrs Brown suddenly chuckled. ” No it’s fine. I guess we were also reacting too much. So answer my question, do you really love Layla? ” Mrs Brown asked and Shane nodded immediately.

” Yes I do! I really do, I love her so much ” He said truthfully and looking straight into Mrs Brown’s eyes so she could see how serious he was.

Mrs Brown smiled lightly. ” I can see that in your eyes.. so please promise you won’t leave her, she’s the only child I have and I don’t wanna watch her wander. So please, love her as much as she loves you and also promise me you won’t break my baby’s heart ” Mrs Brown said softly and staring into Shane’s eyes dearly.

” I promise ” He said sincerely and she smiled.

** The Girl’s Apartment **

” Layla.. ” Mrs Brown called slowly. Layla who was about climbing the stairs stopped. She turned slowly to her mom who was sitted on the couch in the sitting room. Layla smiled lightly before walking over to them. Mr Brown and Mrs Brown glanced at each other suprised that she smiled at them.

” You forgave us already? ” Mrs Brown asked as Layla settled on a seat beside them. ” Mom. I should be the one to apologize, I’m truly sorry. I really didn’t mean everything I said to you two.. I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have walked out on you or even raise my voice at you. I’m sorry ” Layla apologized instead.

Mrs Brown smiled lightly. ” It’s fine dear and I guess we should tell you we’re sorry too ” Mrs Brown said as she held Layla’s hands into her palm.

Layla raised her brows. ” I mean.. we overreacted when you told us the truth about your boyfriend and we also shouldn’t have placed too much pressure on you and also telling you not to be with a rich guy, it’s wrong of us and we admit it.. we’re sorry ” Mrs Brown said, squeezing Layla’s hands softly.Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.

” Really!!? ” She jumped up at once in excitement and a wide smile played on her parents lips.

” Really mom? Dad? I can date Shane? ” She asked to be sure and her dad nodded in smiles.

” Yes! Thanks so much! I love you ” Layla squealed and hugged her parents at once.

” We love you too ” They hugged her back.

** 2 years later **

” Will you marry me? ” The two said simultaneously to their girlfriends.

” Oh My!! Yes, I will ”

” Of Course, Yes! ”

The two girls jumped happily as the duo inserted the ring into their fingers.

” I love you ” Layla said in tears as she hugged Shane deeply.

” I love you too ” Shane replied hugging her tightly.
