Chapter 40: Stroll

\~Luna's POV\~

It's been a while since I've seen him. The days went by so slowly, his absence only prolonged the days

even more.

I asked Thomas about the reasons for Leon's leaving, his reply was a moderate answer.

He told me that Leon was off in the capital.

He was participating in a competition of some sort.

Thomas did assure me many times that he would be fine, but there is always a chance of him being

challenged, though they were slim.

After I recovered some more, a day or two after that night.

I figured out that my crest, Leon's crest on my neck had disappeared.

It usually felt warm and radiant to the touch but was gone now.

Leon must've broken it once I fell asleep.

Or maybe he did it before, that whole night even took place, honestly, I forgot about it.

Being with Leon, I felt the same radiant warmth.

"Knock knock!"

"Hello. Luna, can I come in?"

"Who is it?"

"It's a Mable."

"Come in."

She opened the door peeping her head in. She saw me and I saw her and she continued to come in.

"Luna, why don't you go for a walk in the garden with me. You haven't left your room since the master

departed for the competition. It's not good to stay indoors for so long."

"Alright."

Mable and I were walking through one of the many side gardens, she said that it would be good to get

out of that dim room.

It was sunny, the flowers were in bloom. The sound of swords clanging was in the distance.

"So Mable how's your relationship with Jesse coming along? Master Leon said that he brings you

flowers every day."

Mable looked away a little, he face seemed to show signs of pink.

"It's not every day, but he seemed to have made a habit out of doing so."

"And you guy's relationship. How's that going?"

Her voice slowly got softer as she went towards the end of her sentence.

"It's been going well, we have lunch together almost every day. He's very polite and sweet, he not bad

looking either."

"You guy do make a cute couple, I've seen you two around, walking together. Your face seems to light

up when you talk to him. You must really like him."

"I do... he's been very sweet ever since I told him what happened that night, I..."

Her face went dim for a second, then we heard a voice and perked up quite a bit.

"Hey, Mable!.."

Out of the blue, a voice, as well as a man, came towards us. It was Jesse, his normal uniform on,

carrying a single rose.

"Mable, haha(Heavy breathing) I was looking for you."

"Greetings, Miss Luna."

He turned his attention towards Mable, after greeting me.

He took up her hand and looked into her eyes, she seemed to be captivated by it.

He handed her the rose.

She responded in a somewhat meek tone of voice.

"Thank you."

"No thanks necessary, but this isn't the only reason I was looking for you. I was wondering if you

wanted to go with me to one of my favorite restaurants in town. It's a little divey but it serves good food

and drinks."

He grinned down at her, with his glowing freshly shaven face. She looked towards him with a smile just

as heartwarming as his.

"Sure, that sounds wonderful."

"Great, I'll come to get you when our work is settled for the day."

He swooped in for a kiss before she could finish her sentence. He pulled back, closing his eyes with a

smile.

"Okay, I'll see you later."

For a moment Mable touched her lips with her fingertips, with a content smile, as she watched him

leave.

I, on the other hand, was off to the side, either watching the show or looking at the blue flowers that

sprouted up from the ground.

"Sorry about that Luna."

"It's fine, shall we continue our walk."

"Yea."
