Chapter 596 Burying It in the Garden
Chapter 596 Burying It in the Garden
"Mr. Justin is an ordinary man, please don't make this hard for him," John said with a smile. His
shimmering eyes then turned dim, and his voice got lower. "I wouldn't be able to live long even if I
hadn't been shot."
"Please..." Lily's scalding tears dripped on the back of his hand. She begged, "Please don't do this to
me..."
"Hey, be a good girl and stop crying," John said as he exerted all his left strength to wipe the tears off
her cheeks, "I'm not leaving you. My spirit will always be with you."
John felt weak and sleepy. He knew the time had come.
He struggled to raise his head and looked at Justin over Lily. The baby was smiling in Justin's arms.
"Joanna Dawn ..." John mumbled, "She's taking my family name, and the given name is Joanna, is that
alright?"
Lily nodded. "Okay, it’s good."
"Thank you..." As much as he didn't want to leave them, there was no chance he could do it now. He
cast the last glance at Lily and slowly closed his eyes.
The moment when he closed his eyes, he felt himself chasing after a ray of light. Right before he was
about to catch the light, it disappeared, and then his world fell in darkness.
Lily saw John's hand drop on the snowy ground. Lips trembling, She called out his name, "John?
John?"
No matter how many times she called, he wasn't responding at all, as if he was sleeping soundly there
in her arms.
Lily slowly lowered her head, leaning on his shoulder. Then she held him tightly and wailed aloud.
Louis paced over. His lips twitched when seeing Lily kneeling in the snow in woe, with John in her
arms. Louis felt guilty.
He thought he had been quick enough, but he was still late.
His friends saw the bloodstain on his right shoulder and tried to bandage the would for him, but he
shook his head and refused. He knelt next to Lily and grabbed her shoulder. He didn't want to impose
on her. Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
Lily couldn't stop wailing. She raised her head and looked at Louis, eyes filled with grief. "He's dead. I'll
bury his ashes in the garden and plant my favorite flowers on it."
"Okay," Louis said as he put his clothes on her and brushed away the snowflakes off her hair. "Let's get
back."

Lily's overexercise after her labor and her grief cause her wound to be ripped off again. She had to stay
in a hospital in Paris, under the care of Justin and his friends.
The baby kidnapped by Jonathan was in good health except for a bruise on the neck. Justin kept the
baby around for a week's observation. Then he hired a nanny.
Louis had John cremated. Then he stayed with Lily in Paris.
Lily looked just fine in the first few days. However, she had a nightmare one night and had been silent
since she woke up. Her expression was dull as if she was living in another world of her own.
Justin was worried that she was going through postpartum depression. He asked Louis not to leave her
alone, and let her take pills if necessary.
Louis was worried than anyone else ever since Lily turned depressed. He let the nanny take the baby
over so that they could together accompany her. He also took out to shop for baby clothes.
When Lily felt better, he took her back to Yorkshire.
Coffey and Chloe stayed with Lily. Even Joey had come back from abroad. Daisy loved her so much
and cooked for her every day.
Daisy said gently as she fed Lily soup, "Have some more. I'm so worried that you've lost too much
weight."
Lily shook her head and hugged her mom.
"Mom, he's dead," Lily sobbed, "I owed him a lot. I don't know how to pay it back..."
Daisy touched her hair and said, "You stupid girl... you can't pay somebody's love back if it is real love.
I know you're sad, but you have to keep on living. He would be uneasy in the heaven seeing you like
this."
"People don't always get what they want," Daisy said gently, "As much as you missed him, but you
should think about your husband and child, and they are waiting for you to go back to them."
“Kanna and Anthony were worried about you, but Kanna didn't dare to visit you. You knew about
Anthony's health condition. He hasn't been feeling well for years. You were merely in your twenties...
you wouldn't want to get worn down like him."
“Louis is very worried about you and has been by your side. He hasn't slept well for days." Daisy patted
her on the back. "He had done a lot for you. Don't let him down again."
Lily hugged her mother and choked with sobs.
Lily might have been touched by her mother. She looked at others with a smile. Then she hugged Louis
and kissed him. "Sorry to have got you worried."
Louis touched her face and finally felt relieved. "As long as you're all right. That's all that matters to
me."
Two weeks later, Louis took Lily to the villa in South Mount.
He took her into a large villa and told her this would be their home. Then he gradually transferred the
kids, the nanny, and the servants over.
The roses and tulips planted in the garden were eradicated, and the gardener plowed the land.
Louis gave the urn to Lily and said, "He's the second son of the Krislier family. Half of his ashes has
been sent back to his family, and this is the other half."
Lily held the urn. It was light, but she felt she had never held anything so heavy like this before.
She pursed her lips, letting tears stream down her face.
Louis wiped the tears for her and said, "We'll bury it and plant your favorite flowers on it."
Lily nodded.
She and Louis buried the urn deep in the bushes of the garden. Then they sowed the seeds of white
camellia and green rose.
In a few months, the garden will be abloom with camellias and green roses.
Jessie was still missing. Stella hadn't woken up yet. Lily felt it wasn't the best time for her to marry
Louis. So she asked him not to announce what was between them. When their baby was born, only a
few of their best friends were informed.
The celebration of the birth of the three kids was held in the Smiths' House. Only the relatives and
closest friends of Louis, Lily, and the whole family had been invited.
Louis and Lily had three kids. The eldest son was named Dennis Smith, the second daughter was
named Smith, and the youngest daughter is called Joanna Dawn . People were curious, but nobody
asked.
Lily was entertaining the guests when she saw a familiar figure. She excused herself out and hurriedly
caught up.
"Victor," Lily called his name out as she stood still before him.
Victor took a look at her. She looked way better now. A smirk showed on his cold face, "I heard you
didn't feel well. I've been worried about you, but now I don't because you look fine."
Lily also smiled. She couldn't help feeling sorry, "I'm sorry..."
"I'm here to see the baby today," Victor interrupted her, "Can I see the baby?"
Lily put away her emotions and nodded. "Yes."
She took over the child who was opening his eyes widely in the blanket. Her rosy cheeks looked so
cute.
Victor took a second look at the baby and asked, "What's her name?"
Lily pondered and answered, "Her name is Joanna Dawn ."
"Joanna Dawn ...“ Victor repeated it and immediately understood the meaning behind this name. He
looked at this baby that his young master saved with his life. Then he fell in silence and didn't know
what to say.
He understood that John was in love with Lily, but he still found it hard to understand why he would die
for that love.
Victor gave a jade pendant to the baby and said, "Mr. Dawn had prepared gifts for the children, but I'd
like to take the gift to this baby on my own. Hope she could live a happy life."
