A Life Debt Repaid By Cheng Xiaocheng Chapter 476
Chapter 476
Cordy looked up to see that John was panting a little, and that he was flushing
somewhat. Property belongs to Nôvel(D)r/ama.Org.
Pursing her lips, she lowered her gaze and washed her hands, pretending as if she
saw nothing while John left.
However, she was quite distracted as she washed her fingers, as many images
crossed her mind…
Still, she soon turned off the tap, dried her hands and left the washroom.
John wasn’t in, and she vaguely saw a silhouette at the walk-in closet.
Cordy headed over, entering it unhurriedly to find John changing.
He was wearing yet another pair of black boxers, almost the same size as the one he
just threw away.
He spotted Cordy from the full-length mirror in front of him, a brief look of surprise
flashing in his eyes before he soon said, “I’ll come out once I’m done changing.”
“Can you get dressed without problems?” Cordy asked.
“Yeah.”
“Wont you be touching your scars?”
“I’ll watch out… Eh?” John suddenly murmured, and gulped unwittingly as he felt
Cordy’s warm, dainty hands on his back.
Cordy probably had no idea how dangerous she was at the moment.
“I’m sorry, John,” she suddenly apologized. “I’m quite sensitive when it comes to
Dicky. I shouldn’t have bothered you the other day.”
All John could feel was the parchness in his throat, and his voice was already hoarse.
“So? Are you going to make up for my little wounded soul with your body?”
He was asking with a smile, as if it was a joke.
He certainly didn’t hold out much hope, because he was all too aware that Cordy
would rather die than touch him before he cut all ties with Jessica.
That was why there were times when he was bursting with restraint, but still had to
bear with it anyway.
“If I may,” Cordy murmured ever so softly as she leaned her cheek on his back.
Her voice was very quiet, but John heard it anyway.
And very clearly at that.
His body stiffened, and he even suspected that Cordy was joking like him… but this
joke could easily spiral out of control!
