Chapter 752
Chapter 752
What‘s going on? Kane asked when he saw how the veins were visible on Sage‘s forehead.
Yllal SPUITI
“You were fine just a moment ago. Where did the headache come from?” Kane frowned.
“From severe stress.”
Ross uttered deeply, “She‘s also been physically spent lately. That on top of mental stress would natura lly cause a migraine.”
Luther and Kane‘s gazes were sharp as blades as they glared at Sage.
Their faces darkened.
“You‘re going to drive yourself nuts one of these days!”
Luther reached his hands out furiously in an attempt to knock Sage‘s temple but retrieved it when he th ought of her migraine.
Sage was in so much pain that she was physically unable to utter a word. Laura looked at her worriedly and said, “She just took some medicine. Let‘s go outside and let her rest.”
She then placed a plate of fruits by the bedside and rubbed Sage‘s head gently.
“Have some fruits if you‘re hungry.”
Laura was an angel compared to her aggressive brothers.
Sage stretched her lips and smiled forcibly as she lied down and closed her eyes.
The rest sighed as they left the room and closed the door gently behind them.
Wayne was crouching on the ground and smoking when they came out. “How‘s the girl?”
“She took some medicine and is now resting.”
Ross asked, “I heard that it‘s all because of a hairpin?”
“Correct.”
Wayne continued, “The hairpin that was broken in half. Sage brought it to me to fix it, and I thought it co uldn‘t be fixed anymore. However, it was all good when I looked at it earlier.” “All good?”
Luther was dumbfounded. He was at the scene that day, and he watched as half of the hairpin fell out fr om Jace‘s hand. It was even stained with blood.
The other half was in Yale‘s hand. The hairpin was snapped in half. Each of them had one half in their h ands. One died, and the other survived with injuries.
It was a miracle.
Luther had goosebumps all over his body when he recalled that day. He asked Wayne, “What do you m ean by all good? The two halves reconnected and became whole again?”
“Not just that, it looks like it has never even been broken.” Wayne said as he puffed out smoke into the air, his eyes squinted into two lines, “I‘ve been in this scene for decades. I‘ve seen p lenty of odd things myself, but a wooden hairpin like that was a first.”
Everyone was astounded as they looked at each other.
“Grandpa, where‘s the hairpin now? Can we have a look?” Luther rubbed his palms together, excited to see the magical object.
Wayne snubbed the butt of the cigarette and gestured toward the room. “It‘s with Sage.”
Everyone looked in the same direction, their eyes filled with a myriad of emotions. Sage held the wooden hairpin in her palms, her fingers gently rubbing the pattern of the wood.
Her head still ached, and she was exhausted. Her eyes were shut, but she was unable to fall asleep.
The moment she closed her eyes, the images of Jace took over her mind immediately.
It was torturous!
Sage did not understand. Was it Jace who still refused to let her go, or was it her that refused to let it go?
They said you either go to heaven or hell when you die.
Let‘s just hope Jace went to heaven. Is he hiding behind a cloud now?
Is he watching over her?
Sage thought to herself as she smiled bitterly. She closed her eyes as she grasped tightly onto the hairp
Ross and Luther went to the hospital and told Yale about the hairpin. Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.
Yale had recovered slightly and was finally able to speak.
Yale held his hand into a fist upon learning Sage‘s reaction toward the hairpin. He thought of the momen
Moments after he shot Jekyll in the temple, the big truck crashed directly into them.
Yale was sitting in the passenger seat, it was supposed to be the most dangerous position, but Jace too instead.
The next thing he knew, the car had been thrown over.
Pain shot through his skull. He felt as if his neck was broken. A small stick of some sort was then stuffed
