A Relentless Pursuit for Love

Chapter 825

Chapter 825

Chapter 825 Mason took off the blood–covered glove and faintly smiled. “You‘re welcome. Fortunately, it didn‘t hurt your bones, but you‘ll have to talke a few days off for a while.” That was when Sage realized that Tim had been shot in the left shoulder. Her heart tightened. She stared at his wound and bit her lip. “Did Shawn do this?” Sage asked with fiery eyes. She could no longer contain her long suppressed emotions. She burst out, “Why did you hide it from me? Why won‘t you take me with you?!”

Everyone turned to her in unison.

Sage‘s tears fell uncontrollably.

“Am I really that useless? I can help too. Even if I can‘t be Shawn, I can still help you block the bullets!”

The ward suddenly fell silent and solemn because of Sage’s outrage.

Sage covered her face with her hands and sobbed uncontrollably.

Her brothers looked at each other and was at a loss. The fathers who heard her cries rushed to the door and looked inside.

No one dared to speak when the little tiger got angry.

Primrose carefully disinfected her hands and wiped her hands. Then, she walked toward Sage and pulled her gently. She raised her hand and slapped Sage‘s butt.

It was a hard hit. The men in the family felt a pang of guilt when they saw it happen. “How old are you? Why are you still crying? Do you know no shame?” Primrose scolded Sage but did not hit her again. She looked at her daughter‘s crying face and wiped her tears off. Her actions were not very firm. Primrose frowned in disgust. “It‘s all snot and tears. So dirty. Your makeup is even ruined.” “Huh.” She looked at Sage‘s aggrievated face and crossed her arms. “Say, Jace is a pretty nice guy. fall for you?” Sage raised her head and glared at her mom with red eyes. “My dad is a nice guy too. Why did he like you?”

Primrose snorted. “Ha. I‘m beautiful and hot. Wouldnt it be normal for him to fall for me?”

“I‘m also beautiful and hot. I‘m even younger than you. Hey, what‘s the point of this?” When it came to fighting verbally, Sage never gave in. “Are you kidding me? You‘re younger than me?” Primrose scoffed. “Huh? Look at the fine lines in the corner of your eyes. I don‘t have any wrinkles at all. If we go out together, won‘t others mistake us as sisters?” Sage fought back at once, “Even if we‘re sisters, you‘re the older one, and I‘m the younger sister. So, in relation to that, I‘m still younger than you.”

“Nonsense!” Primrose got furious. “Don‘t forget you were born from my stomach. Don‘t you think I won‘t beat you to death!“.

She rolled up her sleeves and was about to give Sage a harsh beating, but Luther reacted quickly and held her. “Hey, Mom... Mom... She‘s just a kid.” Nigel agreed, “Yeah, that‘s right. You‘re the most beautiful in my eyes. What is Sage to us? She‘s just a kid.”

Seth also came over. “Yeah, there‘s not point in being angry. If you get angry, it‘s easy to grow wrinkles and gray hair.”

Primrose took a deep breath and exhaled gently. “Yeah, you‘re right. I shouldn‘t get mad. Why should I be anyways? No one will take care of me when I get sick. I can‘t let that kid win.” Primrose was easily coaxed by her sons and walked out with a smile. “Come on. Let‘s go out for tea.”

Everyone left the side hall, leaving Sawyer, Tim, and Kane in the ward. They were still lying on the bed or waiting for the drip to finish. When they recalled the scene where the mother and daughter fought like children, they could not help but laugh. Sage looked depressed from the loss. Primrose was old, but she was still so wilful because of these men that spoiled her too much.
