Mr. Douglas Leonel snapped to, gazing at the tousled woman in his arms, slowly coming to his senses.
With a forceful shove, he pushed her away.
Anika tumbled to the floor, red-faced and humiliated. Shed almost had him.
With years of business savvy, Leonel could read her intentions.
Without another word, he straightened up, composed himself, and casually remarked, My bad, mistook the situation.
As he made to leave, Anika rushed up, embracing him from behind.
Biting her lip, she pleaded, You want this too, right? Why fight it? After a moments hesitation, Leonel pushed her away firmly. I am a married man.
Heading downstairs, he phoned the driver to scoop him up. Nôvel/Dr(a)ma.Org - Content owner.
Pulling up, the driver took in the scene, too stunned to inquire.
Settling into the car, Leonel shut his eyes for a breather. Catching a whiff of potent perfume, he murmured with eyes closed, Keep this between us, alright? No word to Mrs. Douglas.
The driver hastily agreed.
In the dead of night, the sleek black Bentley crept into the villa.
Stepping out, Leonel glanced up. Light spilled from the second floor, Alexis was still up.
He dismissed the driver and lingered in the courtyard, pulling out a pack of smokes. Tapping one out, he lit up, head bowed.
How was he going to explain tonights mess to Alexis? Leonel didnt step inside the house until he finished a couple of smokes.
After the cigarette scent faded and the cicadas hushed, he finally entered the villa. No servants were around at this hour, and the spacious hall was dead quiet.
With booze in his system, Leonel climbed the stairs slowly.
The light was on in the main bedroom. When he pushed the door, Alexis was lounging on the couch, watching TV. She had on a white robe that showed off her slim shape.
She looked up at the sound of footsteps. You went out for a drink? she asked.
Leonel didnt deny it. James set it up last minute. You were dealing with paperwork, so I didnt bother you, he explained.
Hearing this, Alexis smiled faintly.
