Lisa was trembling after speaking with Adam over the phone. He knew her weaknesses; moreover, he

played on them.

"Yes, Master. I will ensure I finish my job here on time. You can rest assured."

"It must have been tough for you these days..... considering your snacks have also reduced. Is Mu

Charles not satisfied?" Lisa could sense the sarcasm.

She nodded and replied, "Young Master Mu has been very busy of late. He only sees me at night."

"Is it?" "Looks like Young Master Mu is in love. He spends the night with you?" "Is he better than me in

in every way. All she ever wanted since childhood was to marry the man of her dreams.

Did she fail to understand why all this was happening? Nothing made sense. Why was God punishing

her like this?

When Lisa found out about her pregnancy, she was unsure of who the father was. She remembered

how Adam gave her drugs and made her his sex slave.

Lisa had to live with Charles Mu as though she was Linda, the person she loathed the most, and on

Adam's mercy.

Lisa was so furious that she wanted to scream. Instead, she burst into tears.

All this was because of Linda, or she would be living a good life too, by being married to the man of her

dreams. Nonetheless, Lisa would still be Johnson and May Shen's favorite daughter.

Lisa blamed Linda for everything.

All this anger and anxiety left Lisa completely exhausted.

Since it was past noon, Bun began worrying. She knew Linda had still not come out to eat. Besides,

Paul too had been waiting for over half an hour to drive them to Charles' office.

Bun thought, what if the baby is hungry?

Bun decided to try again even after Lisa had yelled at her the first time. Mood swings were normal

during pregnancy. She took the risk as she wanted to request Lady Linda to come out to eat

something.

With all the physiological changes during pregnancy, it was common for some women to have negative

emotions.

Bun thought about how Linda had changed. But now she understood what had caused these changes.

When Bun walked into the room, she was shocked to see Linda crying. She walked up and asked, "Are

wondered how could someone be so caring even after being treated harshly.

was dead, everything belonged to Lisa Xia!

Bun seemed uncomfortable when Linda apologized. She knew Linda's behavior had changed. And the

thought of quitting had crossed her mind. It was then that she remembered how much the Mu Clan had

helped her, and her promise to Mu Charles about looking after Linda.

Even though Bun was just a servant, Lady Linda had been very fond of her and had thought of her as a

true friend. Lisa knew she had to mirror the same feelings.

"My Lady please, you don't need to apologize. I understand this is a difficult time for you. Please take

care of yourself and the baby." said Bun.

"Yes, I will. Thank you!" Once Bun left the room, Lisa sneered for she didn't care about Bun's feelings,

and thought, 'What a silly woman. A few nice words can make her forget about everything. How

ignorant.'

Now that she was pregnant, the changes in Linda were noticeable, right from her personality to her

eating habits. She went from coca cola chicken wings to pine-nut salmon. The chef had been instructed

to follow her new diet plan.

As soon as Lisa sat down at the dining table, the house guard walked up to her and said "My Lady,

there is someone here with a package for you. Should I let him in?"

"A package for me?" Lisa asked. She then remembered Adam telling her about a package that was

going to come in her name. "Yes, let him in."

Lisa had to keep the package away from everyone, especially Bun. So she asked her to apologize to

Paul for making him wait.

"Sure, My Lady!" Bun replied as she left to meet Paul in the underground parking. Just before she left
