Chapter 16 : It’s Not Your Turn to Teach Me a Lesson
The car stopped steadily at the Civil Affairs Bureau.
Wendy’s heart was about to jump out of her chest, but Rex grabbed her arm and took photos, seals, and signatures.
By the time the series of procedures were completed, it was already half past 12.
Wendy held the bright red booklet in her hand, which was dazzling due to the hot sunlight outside. “Are we really married?”
Rex paused for a moment, and when a gust of cold wind blew over, Wendy sucked in a breath of cold air.
Being with him saved air conditioner.
“You’re Mrs. Gavyn now.” Rex glanced at her and asked Clare to drive the car over.
They waited at the entrance of the Civil Affairs Bureau. Many couples who had come to register were attracted by Rex’s handsome appearance and powerful aura.
Wendy’s heart was still beating fast. She stuffed the red booklet into her schoolbag and said, “Mr. Gavyn, I have something to tell you.”
“Speak.”
He said in an unquestionable tone.
She clenched her fists and looked up into Rex’s deep eyes. “I’m still in school, so can we not have a wedding ceremony?”
“Not have a wedding ceremony?”
Afraid that Rex would get angry, Wendy hurriedly said, “You know that our marriage is just a deal. If we don’t have a wedding ceremony, it will be convenient for you to divorce me in the future, won’t it?”
Rex’s eyes instantly turned cold.
“Good, very good. We just got the marriage certificate, and you’re already thinking about divorce?”
“Wendy, remember this,” Rex said gloomily, “I have the final say on the two of us.”
Just as Wendy was about to retort, Clare’s car arrived.
Rex went to work at the company and asked Clare to take her home to pack up her things.
It seemed that he wanted her to move over.
Wendy had no reason to refuse. She had wanted to leave the Walters’ home for a long time anyway.
When she got home, Jenny was scolding the living room servants. When she saw Wendy returning, she immediately flew into a rage and rushed over to pull her hair. “Wendy, you little bi*ch, you are as cheap as your mother. Back then, your mother seduced my father, and now you are seducing my fiancé! Did you sleep with Rex intentionally that night?”
Wendy felt her scalp go numb. She was dragged by Jenny to the table, and she struggled to shake off her arms. “Jenny, shut up! You know very well what’s going on!”
If Jenny hadn’t asked her to deal with Halsey, she wouldn’t have accidentally gotten into Rex’s bed!
In the final analysis, it was Jenny’s fault!NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.
Jenny stared at her, panting. Her chest heaved beat as she said, “Well, you even dare to talk back to me now, right? Not to mention that you are not Rex’s wife yet; even if I teach you a lesson as an elder sister, it’s what you deserve!”
“Pa!”
The crisp sound of a slap rang out loudly. The servants of the Walters family retreated one after another and did not dare to approach.
No one had ever dared to stop Jenny when she went crazy.
Wendy’s ears were buzzing, and her hair was scattered messily over her face. There were tears in the corners of Wendy’s eyes.
When she saw Wendy glaring at her, Jenny had yet to put down her hand. She sneered and said, “You still dare to glare at me? If I hit you, you’ll have to suffer it!”
“Jenny!” Wendy gritted her teeth, her eyes aching. “From today onwards, I have nothing to do with the Walters family. Don’t you dare threaten me with my mother!”
Jenny was so angry that her lungs almost exploded. She raised her hand and was about to slap Wendy in the face for the second time, but her arm was suddenly pinched.
The man’s eyes were cold. He grabbed Jenny’s arm and threw it. “Jenny, it’s not up to you to teach your younger sister a lesson.”
