“You need not worry, they will come to us eventually,” Greeta said pointing at Lucy who was still unconscious

“Now, we have to prepare and wait for them. We lost at their home now we won’t let them win us. We can’t let them take us unaware.” She added

“Fool, we have but twelve days left. And with this, you just angered the beast more ” Eric said in anger

“Who’s the beast you are talking about?” Greeta asked

“Don’t you know, her father Derrick is the beast,” Eric stated

“No one has ever defeated him. He is none like others. He is a breed of an almost extinct wolf-like animal. My father used to be the strongest not until the prophecy came and my father tried to kill the boy and got killed by Derrick. I’ve hated and feared him.” Derrick wailed

“When I learned that he had separated himself from his family, I began plotting ways to get rid of his son and accomplish my father’s goal to secure our name.” He added

“So what?” Greeta asked

“What do you mean so what? It’s over already” He said

“So you are just going to quit like that. What a fool you are. And here I thought you hard balls to fight.” Greeta said

“Hey witch, watch your mouth before I help you do it.” He said pissed off at what Greeta said

“Hmmm, what do you suggest we do?” He asked

“We have to fight back and make sure we win. We took the fight to their home now it’s time for them to come here.” Greeta said

“How do we achieve that?” He asked

“No matter how strong you think you are, you still have a weakness,” Greeta said with a mischievous smile as she stared at Lucy who was still unconscious.

~ Karen’s POV ~

“No, this can’t be happening. They can’t take her. She is surely going to pay for laying her hands on my daughter” Karen thought to herself as she helped Rhea back inside and Derrick also did the same to Jaden.

Getting inside, Karen helped Rhea lay on the bed. She stood for a while staring at her daughter who was on the bed. Tears rolled down her cheek as she tried to step out of the room.

“Mother” Rhea called out

She turned to her and immediately went and sat beside her.

“Please save Lucy, she’s scared. I can feel it.” Rhea said

“Don’t worry, I promise to save her” Karen assured as Rhea fell asleep

Karen left Rhea’s room straight to Derrick’s room. As she walked, she thought of how she was going to save Lucy. Getting to Derrick’s room, she couldn’t find him there.

“Maybe he’s with Jaden,” She thought to herself as she wandered around the room, going through some of the Derricks’ things.

Suddenly, the door opened and there Derrick was, standing at the door with his arms wide open, waiting for Karen. As soon as she saw him, she ran to him and embraced him as tears rolled down her eyes.

“I missed you,” He said

“I missed you too my love” Karen replied as they both hugged tightly before Derrick broke the hug and gave her a deep kiss. Karen couldn’t hold back as she kissed him back as she had never done before. After a while, Karen broke the kiss.

“What happened my love?” Derrick asked

“Nothing, I just can’t stop thinking about Lucy,” She said

“Don’t worry, we will get her back. I promise.” He assured her as he gave her another warm hug.

“Okay, let us get some rest,” Derrick said as he led her to the bed as hugged her to sleep.

~ Lucy’s POV ~

Opening my eyes, I found myself in a strange place. I couldn’t recognize anything here. It felt really strange. I tried to move but only to find out that I’d been tied to a chair. I tried to break free but couldn’t.

“Don’t worry you won’t be able to free yourself from this one” Greeta the wicked witch said

“Let me go right now” I shouted

“Dear little nice, if you know what’s good for you, keep your mouth shut or I will shut it for you ” Greeta warned

“I dare you,” I said

“Well, I’ve not got time for this right now. I will be back” She said as she left.

“Come back here and untie me. Let me go.” I shouted but didn’t get any response from her and was left alone in that room.

I wondered what my family would be doing right now if they would be looking for me but of course, they would be worried about me and would do everything possible to get me out of here.

~ Rhea’s POV ~

I shut my eyes in pain as my mother left the room. I couldn’t sleep because all I kept thinking about was Lucy. I wondered what they are doing to her right now. I know she’s really scared because I can feel it. The room felt empty without her. As I lay on my bed, I prayed that this morning would come soon and the pain would go away.

“Rhea, Rhea” I heard a voice calling out to me

I quickly opened my eyes to see it was but the room was as empty as it was. No one was there. I thought it was my mind playing tricks on me since Lucy isn’t here. I laid back and decided not to worry too much comforting myself that everything will be fine.

“Rhea” Again the voice called out. This time, I was sure that it was Lucy who called. But how?

“Yes” I answered

“You’ve got to get me out of here,” she said

“Okay, but how are you talking to me,” I asked

“Yeah, I kinda used one of the spells in the book you gave me and since we connected, I was able to reach you” She replied

“Yeah about that, she tied me up in this chair and she used a spell on it so I tried it to see if I could take a little energy from it. And it worked” She explained

“Okay, thank goodness you are okay. Don’t worry we are going to get you out of the very soon. Just make sure you keep in touch and everything will be okay” I assured
