Chapter 29: Liam ii

“I think he is fine where ever he is. Tsk! I don’t like talking about him.”

“But why? Okay let me guess. You are now taking Thomas seriously.”

“Yea right. You know I just thought I should take him seriously since he takes me seriously.” she replied.

“That makes sense too.”

As they chatted, Anita’s eyes was drawn to a figure a but far away from where they were seated.

She couldn’t believe at first, but then she decided to give herself sometime to study the fellow.

After sometime, she couldn’t bear it it anymore. They were already seated there for about thirty minutes and this man haven’t for once taken his eyes off Kate as they ate their food.

“Kate?”

“Yes darling!”

“Can I talk?”

Looking up at her girlfriend. “What’s wrong?”

“Someone has been looking at you for like God knows when.”

Kate froze.

She never expected it.

Taking a deep breath, she stylishly looked by the side and spotted a very young and handsome man eyeing her from a distance.

“Oh my goodness, he is so handsome.” she whispered.

“Yes he is. Looks like we don’t need to stress ourselves anymore.”

“Why did you say so?” Kate asked surprisingly.

“Because he is fucking coming our way.” Anita spat happily.

Kate couldn’t believe her ears. Sitting up, she stylishly arranged her hair and sipped the ordered cocktail drink.

“Hey beautiful!” the man said as he waved his hands.

“Hello!” Anita greeted

“Hi handsome!” Kate replied.

Clearing her throat, Anita knew she couldn’t remain there.

“Errm I will excuse you for now. Have fun.” she whispered to Kate and stood up.

Kate didn’t know how she was feeling anymore, but one thing she could dictate was that she had nothing less than gratitude for her best friend.

Anita knew when to give her space and when not to.

“Thanks!” she replied.

Anita stood up with her tray and sat at the other side not too far away from where she was before.

This gave Kate the chance to mingle with him.

“What’s your name gorgeous?” he asked seductively.

“I am Kate by name. You?”

“You can call me Liam.”

“Oh nice!”

“You have a really cool name. I think we should get you more food and snacks. What do you think?” he asked.

Kate was already in another world. She remained silent and let him do whatever he wanted.

Even Anita was shocked to see that more foods and snacks were been ordered and brought to her table.

“Thanks for all these. I never expected it tonight and I really appreciate you.” Kate said as she looked him in his eyes and smiled deeply.

He was such a gentleman. His dark brown eyes matched with his dark brown hair. He had this perfect body and his height was another plus. She loved it when he smiled, revealing his beautiful set of white teeth. She was already getting carried away.

“You are welcome.” he replied her, bringing her back to her senses.

They had a long conversation, and by the time they were done, it was already 11pm.

He took them to his car and drove them home safely.

When he saw that they were already indoor, he started his car and drove back home.

Laughing hard, “it’s such a beautiful living in New York City. I bet you had fun girl.” Anita said while pulling off her shoes.

Kate didn’t know how to express her excitement at that point as she smiled so happily.

“Anita, you needed to see the way he was looking at me. Gosh! I felt like I was already in heaven.”

“I know that. I could tell with the look on your face. You were blushing like a little girl with her crush.”

“I just can’t wait for him to ask me out officially. Oh my God! Even though he has not gone further, I just can imagine it enough in my memory. Did you see his eyes?”

“Good morning!” Anita greeted when she woke up.

“Good morning. I can’t believe we slept here.” Kate said, yawning and stretching.

“Yea. Last night was fun. I wish to such such nights every fucking day.”

Anita then freshened up and moved to the kitchen to make breakfast.

Kate stood up to and headed to the bathroom to wash up.

While they were having their breakfast, they had a knock on the door.

They got stunned because they couldn’t understand who would know as early as it was and who it could be.

When Anita headed to the door and opened it, she froze.

“You?”

“Good morning. Is she in?” he asked.

“Umm yes she is. Come in!”

Kate never expected Liam to visit her that early morning, so when she. Saw him, she too was shocked as she was not mentally prepared to face him in the day time.

This was her first time seeing him in day time. She only saw him the night before and it was the same for him.

Looking at him they morning, she could really confirm that he was good looking.

Anita too was surprised as to how good looking he was. Kate really had the aura to attract good looking kind of men. She felt grateful that at least, he was better looking than her ex.

“Liam?” Kate muttered.

“Yes Kate. Morning! Seems like I came at the perfect time. Anyways, I brought you some goodies.” he said and placed the bag he walked in with.

Even though they were surprised, they accepted his gift, but at that moment, the ladies only had one question to ask Liam.

Why the fuck was he putting on a police uniform?

They had never thought he would belong to the force, plus he was too handsome to be a police man.

“Umm. I can see someone is ready for an assignment. You never told me you were a policeman?”
