“Block all the roads. No one is allowed to cross the borders.”
Roughly an hour after my conversation with Lia, I was sitting in the middle of my study with most of the
high-ranking werewolves in the pack was gathered. “I am deploying everyone, including those who are
on vacation. Block all entry and exit to the royal castle. Don’t let a single fly go out,” I ordered in a stern
voice. It was a highly treasonous statement that would surely send a werewolf to the dungeon. Despite
this, everyone in the room calmly accepted my order. “Yes, alpha,” without hesitation, they
simultaneously declared. I put my elbow on top of the table and placed my chin on my palm. “Any
question?” I asked them.
My question was like a trigger that set everyone excited. In just a snap of a finger, their serious faces
turned eager and passionate. “Alpha,” it was Simon who spoke first. I nodded at him, allowing him to
speak. “Alpha, do we need to send warriors to the royal castle too?” He asked with a voice filled with
excitement.
Suddenly, the old man beside him raised his hand and smacked Simon at the back of his head.
“Rascal! Why would you even ask our alpha that question? Of course, we will! How are we supposed to
siege the castle if we don’t march towards it?” Martin, the captain of the warriors, yelled. “You-you’re
right!” Simon bellowed. “I apologize for being too slow, alpha!” He loudly stated before bowing down.
“It’s been a long time since I had a proper fight. Later, I should sharpen my fangs,” Martin laughed
loudly. His statement seemed to set the others into uproar. “That’s right, old Martin. The two of us
should have a spar tonight to see if your old bones have already rusted. “I’ve always wanted to battle
with those snotty royal warriors. Now it will finally be fulfilled,” another stated.
The corners of my eyes twitched. I slightly raised my palm and said, “Hold up.” Everyone immediately
shut their mouths. “You will only block the roads to and from the royal castle and will not do anything
else,” I told them. Everyone looked at me with confusion and disappointment. How could I not know?
These rascals were thinking of besieging the royal castle and installing me as the lord of werewolves
by force. In their hearts, I should rightfully possess the throne.
However, while I acknowledged their sentiments and loyalty, that place is not where I belong. “Fix your
thoughts. We are only blocking the roads and not taking over the castle by force,” I told them. “Eh, we
are not?” Simon asked. I sent him a stern look, which effectively made him and the other shut their
mouths.
‘In a short while, the bug that I planted will report to the enemy that the lady has died. For this to be
effective, no one should be able to visit the royal castle. Everyone inside should also be prevented from
going out,’ I tapped my finger on my lips as I thought to myself.
Coincidentally, as I contemplated, I received a message from the said bug. ‘As expected, the fools did
not even verify the veracity of the news,’ I chuckled.
So it’s time to do the next move.’
Earlier, Lia already informed me that the next attack would be towards the Pack of Emoresi, her pack
by birth. In her vision, because that pack is close to the royal castle, an unusual amount of werewolves
gathered in their territory in order to attend the wake of the lady. The enemies pretended as mourners
and mingled together with the others. It was an extraordinary time and no attack had yet been made at
that time, so that bastard Alec foolishly allowed everyone inside his territory.
Unfortunately, they started their attack a day after their arrival. The Pack of Emoresi is also one of the
strongest packs in the world and were able to push them out of their territory. Unfortunately, because
they were caught unprepared, many lives were lost, most of these were the warriors from the other
territories were the enemies secretly mingled with. ‘Hmmm,’I deeply contemplated and ignored
everyone else. Suddenly, I smiled, effectively sending the others on their feet as they nervously and
carefully observed me. I sighed. My pack members are composed of strong rascals who easily get
scared by my simple actions. Of course, I could not totally blame them. After all, they know me well.
Thus, I ignored them and stood up. “Do what I tell you. Gamma Simon will oversee everything because
the Beta has something else to do,” I ordered and gave the now pale Gamma a look. “Yes, Alpha,”
everyone replied. I nodded before walking out. When I was by the doorside, however, I stopped walking
and issued another order to my overworked Gamma, “Oh. Also prepare a grand ceremony. I will
formally introduce your Luna to the pack after we arrive from our excursion.” .
