Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 3

"Ally, are you awake? What's wrong with you? Come out and have breakfast!"

Hearing her mother's concerned voice coming from outside the room, Alicia quickly gargled and said, "Right away!"-

It felt like she had thrown up everything, even all the pain and sadness of the past! Some things should have been let go of years ago!

Alicia felt relaxed when she got up, but a few tears suddenly appeared in the corners of her eyes.

"Unfortunately, she realised it too late! Her precious virginity..."

When she thought of last night, she suddenly felt furious. She had always been cautious and she didn't drink much wine last night, but her memory was all blurry!

It was Lindsay's sheme! There was no doubt!

No wonder she felt sand in her eyes last night and Lindsay blow it for her from time to time. Thinking about it now, Alicia thought that Lindsay must have slipped something into her drink!

But why? Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

Was it because of Jeremy?

But she clearly knew that it was impossible for her to be with him!

Why did Lindsay have to hurt her like this? Just as Alicia's heart was filling with anger and her fingernails pierced her palms, she heard her mother's voice again.

"Ally-"

"Coming!"

In an instant, Alicia felt like a deflated balloon. She quickly wiped away the tears in the corner of her eyes.

Her mother had prepared a nice meal for them. "Why is your face so pale? Did you work late? Or the banquet last night wasn't fun? Or did you have a fight with Linds?"

Looking at her mother's aging face, Alicia felt uncomfortable again. She picked up an egg but put it on her mother's plate. She smiled and said,

"It's not a big deal! I drank some wine last night, and I didn't sleep that well..."

She could not let her mother worry any more!

Before they finished eating, Alicia's cell phone rang. No time to be upset, so she rushed out of the door.

"I'm working overtime and I may have to go out of town. Don't wait up for me!"

It had already been more than half a month after that incident when she finally came back.

After reporting to the company, Alicia took her suitcase and headed home. Not far from the intersection near their house she saw a small cafe. She remembered that her mother loved the durian pastry in this shop, so she also stood in line to get some. As she walked toward the shop, a tall grey figure appeared in front of her. Alicia's brain went blank in an instant. Her hand unconsciouslsy relaxed and she dropped the bag she was carrying.

"Je... Jeremy, why is he here?" she thought.

Her lips moved, but she couldn't utter a word. Her feet felt so heavy that she couldn't move. When their eyes met, neither of them moved for a long time.

On the other side of the road, looking at this scene from a distance, Lindsay almost broke her fingernails as she picked up her mobile phone.

Alicia had imagined countless times how they would meet again, but she didn’t expect that she would feel no embarrassment and have nothing to say. As if things had remained the same, but the people had changed.

The ring of his phone suddenly broke the silence between the two. He picked up the phone and left.

With a wry smile, Alicia also turned around. Suddenly, with a loud noise, a slap landed on her face!

"Mom?"

"Don't call me your mon! I didn't have such a useless daughter! Your father is still in the hospital, and you are still involved with Jeremy. Did you plan to drive me crazy too? Are you happy now? Why did you have to make a fool out of yourself? Why are we living such a miserable life now? Why did we have to leave our home, did you forget already? If it wasn't for Lindsay telling me that, I would've still been in the dark now..."

Mrs. Blanchard was trembling with anger.

Lindsay! It was Lindsay again!

"What a scheming b*tch!"
