Chapter 338
Chapter 338
Luca’s POV
I was on my feet in an instant, gun already out just as more people emerged from the crowd with guns
already cocked, making it more obvious that it had all been planned from the very start. I began to fire
my gun while tugging Sofia against me because there was nothing that she could hide against right
now.
I tried my best to ignore Sofia’s trembles as I fired away, as I was shooting, so were the groom’s and
bride’s family doing as well. When the groom ended up getting shot and his white suit turned red in an
instant, was probably when it dawned on everyone that this was freaking serious, because they were
all screaming and sucking in an instant. After a few more moments, I realized that the people who were
shooting weren’t here to hard anyone, but to take out the groom’s family.
And so I asked Sofia’s to duck like everyone was doing, and then I went to the middle of the aisle to
stop one of the men from getting to the front of the church by kicking his gun out of his hand, and then
a fight endured between the both of us. Just because i never involve myself in a lot of mafia stuff bs k
st home, doesn’t mean I didn’t know how to use my guns or my fists, because I was so damn good at it.
After a few moments, I had the guy whittling on the ground and I made sure to bend his hand
backwards until it popped out of his sockets. When I glanced back at Sofia, she was staring at me wide
eyed like she didn’t recognize me anymore, which I honestly understood.
Until yesterday, I wasn’t sure Sofia have ever seen me point my gun at someone, not knowing that I
could draw my gun just fine whenever it was needed. I left the dealt with guy and moved to another
person, and another. I wasn’t the only one fighting the bad guys here, the groom had a few brothers
who were also fighting right now, along with their father, whom despite his age, could still make use of
his gun just fine.
In no time, we had all the bad guys subdued and an ambulance was called because the groom had
been shot in a cretical place. After everything had calmed down, the church was comes destroyed and
almost all the decorations had been destroyed. The bride was sobbing at a corner and a few of her
bridal train were consoling her as I headed over to Sofia in order to help her up.
She was breathing hard and still trembling and I silently asked myself just what it was that was
happening these days now, and why Sofia just have to always witness the other side of me that I
always keep completely away from her. The only time she had ever seen me angry side ot me was on
the day Armani had been abducted and she had thought I was disappointed in her.
I held her head against my chest as she dragged in deep breaths while still trembling against me. I was
going to get her out of here right now.
Just as I was contemplating how I was going to take my leave, the father of the groom came to me and
offered his thanks to me for helping them with the fight, because i was sure a lot of people here saw
how I had been the one to handle most of the bad guys all on my own. Two of his sons accompanied
him over, and also offered their thanks to me. Apart from the blood we shared, nothing else held us
together. I think it was because we were residing in different countries.
After some time, I was finally able to leave the now destroyed church, with Sofia turned shsindt my
arm. I wasn’t sure this church was going to host a mafia’s related wedding any time soon, after what
had taken place today.
———-
I FaceTimed Armani that evening, some hours after we had returned back home from the wedding.
Sofia’s was currently snuggled on my chest and it warmed my heart at how she and Armani were
conversing really well, like they’ve been friends for a while now.
After the conversation had ended, Sofia went all quiet and was just satisfied with tugging at the hum of
the shirt I had on, but I had a feeling that something was on her mind.
“What’s wrong, bunny?” I asked and watched as she blinked a little before sitting up.
“It’s nothing, it’s just a thought of mine.”
I let out a thoughtful hum. “Oh, what’s it about?” I asked after a few seconds.
She hesitated at first, it was very obvious because I could literally read her like a book right now.
“It’s my brother.” She finally let out and I digested the answer and racked my head at first, trying to see
if I could remember if she had a brother or not. I cocked my head to the side after a few moments.
“You have a brother?” I finally asked and I watched as her mouth fell open disbelievingly. NôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.
She spluttered at first. “You didn’t know I have a brother?” She demanded and I shook my head
honestly.
“No, bunny. I’m serious. I’d definitely remember if you’ve ever told me about you having a brother.” I
responded honestly.
She blinked a little and shifted in her spot on the bed. “Oh… well, now that you mentioned it, I just
realized that I’ve never really spoken to you about him.”
“See?” I murmured and she let out a small huff.
I tugged her against me by wrapping my arm around her waist, and she came down willingly.
“Now, go ahead and tell me all about him, hm?”
She was back to playing with the hem of my shirt before she began to speak.
“Well, his name is… Angelo.”
