Chapter 382
Chapter 382
Sofia’s pov
The moment we alighted the Lamborghini which Luca drove himself tonight, we were instantly
swamped with the paparazzi. I was grateful I had slipped a pair of sunglasses over my face before
leaving the car, and as the camera flashes kept going off without pause, I felt my head pound a little.
Luca’s hand closes around mine after a few fleeting seconds and he began to guide me past the
swamp of paparazzis. It took me a couple of seconds to notice Luca’s guards were already starting to
shove the paparazzis away from us. I ignored the questions and mics pointed in our faces, and the
whoops from the people in an extremely long line, obviously waiting to be let into the club one at a time
– as we made our way into the club.
We climbed up the stairs, walking past bouncers who hastily bowed on noticing Luca. On arriving at the
third floor of the club, the first thing I noticed was that it wasn’t all that loud nor rowdy up here, like it
had been in the vip section of that club Luca and I attended back in New York.
It only took a few moments for me to notice Kayla and her husband, Travis. They noticed us in that
same seeing as well, because Kayla eagerly waved us over with a bright smile on her face. She was
drinking what I’d assume was a very strong alcoholic wine.
“You look drop dead gorgeous, Sofia!” Kayla shrieked as she bounced up to her feet to envelope me in
a light hug. I let out a small laugh as I returned the compliment, and meaning it, because Kayla looked
extremely fine as hell tonight. She had on a white dress that complimented her fair caramel skin so
damn well, and the locs she currently had in, was styled differently from how it had been for the arts
exhibition.
I wish I could actually style my hair this way.
Kayla twirled me around to take a proper look at my dress and I found myself laughing as I indulged
her, and listening to her exclamations of excitement as she saw the back of the dress, made me laugh
harder.
The dress was a short one, stopping a few inches down my thighs. It was a silver color, and it had no
back, except a few tiny ropes that held it together.
“I bet Luca won’t be able to keep his hands to himself tonight.” Kayla whispered into my ears, and
almost immediately, I felt my mood get sour. Although I did try to hide it and hastily changed the
subject.
Soon, we were all sitting, with Kayla and I deep in a silly conversation when Luca handed me a tall
glass of drink. It was my favorite type, and I felt tingles when our fingers brushed.
Luca and Travis were lost in their own conversation when James arrived. Everyone on this floor were
doing their own thing, and the dance floor was very spacious. A few couples were currently dancing but
it didn’t appear like it would be getting cramped up very soon. Property © NôvelDrama.Org.
I was on my sixth glass of wine, and I was definitely starting to feel a little bit tipsy.
When Kayla suggested everyone go dance, James said he was going to sit it out since he had no date.
Luca and I were silent, and he didn’t make any move to take me to dance floor, neither did I attempt to
force him into going to dance with me.
I ended up saying that my feet were hurting and I didn’t feel like dancing. Kayla and her husband went
off to dance.
It was as if James could already sense my sour mood because he began to engage me in different
conversations, keeping me talking until Kayla and Travis returned.
Kayla then pulled me along to the dance floor for us to go dance together because apparently, I had to
dance today as a form of celebration tonight.
And so, I found myself moving along to the music with Kayla. She playfully swayed me around with her
hands around my waist and mine around my neck.
“Your husband looks like he wants to kill me with that look, just because I’m dancing with you.” Kayla
said into my ear which shocked me to the core, because he hadn’t acted like he was interested in
dancing when Kayla had proposed that.
What is wrong with Luca?
“Let’s make him more jealous.” I muttered and Kayla giggled as she pressed herself against me even
tighter, hands sliding over my hips.
We kept moving slowly to the music until Kayla spoke up once again.
“Isn’t that the woman from the exhibition… the bubbly one in a yellow dress.” Kayla said and I blinked
in shock.
“She’s currently having a conversation with Luca.” Kayla continued and my mouth fell open.
Luca hadn’t held an actual conversation with me, but he was doing that with some random woman?
I composed myself and Kayla and I danced some more before casually returning back to me seat. The
woman from the art exhibition who had introduced herself to me as Lola, instantly stopped talking with
Luca as soon as she noticed me to beam at me.
She was super nice and pleasant too, but I wasn’t sure I wanted her talking to my husband, especially
since he hadn’t spoken to me since we arrived at this club.
Lola was sitting at the other side of Luca, the top of her dress was so low, her boobs were almost
spilling out. We talked for a few more minutes before Luca excused himself as motioned for Lola to
come with him to my utmost shock.
He didn’t go very far, but he talked to Lola for over five minutes to my utmost displeasure.
Didn’t I just introduce them to themselves this afternoon? I asked myself in bewilderment as I stared
dumbly at Kayla who regarded me with sympathy. Travis was no where to be found, along with James.
Perhaps they went to quickly take care of something before Lola had arrived.
How did she even know we’d be here? Perhaps it was just a silly coincidence.
I didn’t want to be here any longer.
When Luca finally arrived, he looked angry for unknown reasons which I didn’t care about. I then
informed him that I was ready to leave for home.
