Demon released his hold on Annabel and shifted back giving a little bit putting some space between them.

“I am not bluffing Annabel, now leave before I lose my cool.” Demon ordered.

“You haven’t seen the last of me yet.” Annabel huffed angrily and walked out of the house slamming the door behind her hard.

“And who are you Young man?” King Eremus demanded as soon his ex wife had left their presence.

“Someone who is in love with your daughter Elena, sir.” Responded Demon. He bowed his head low and said. “Greetings my King.”

Acknowledging his greeting, King Eremus asked. “But that hasn’t answered my question yet. Who are you and how are you connected to my ex wife?”

“Sorry for not answering your questions. My name is Chase Demon, I am half Demon and a half Shadow Walker that is to say I am not human.” Demon introduces himself. “And I love your daughter so much sir.” He added.

King Eremus eyes widened in surprise. This is the man who Jess was talking about. He turned his gaze to Jess for a moment and the woman nodded her head to answer his questioning eyes.

“So you are the assassin that was killing all the late princesses?” King Eremus demanded with raised eyebrows.

“Yes sir, but I have a reason why I did that sir.” Demon answered and went on to explain what had triggered him killing the Princesses.

“Hmm and you just found out that your wife was lying and faked her own death for you to bring the souls of Princesses?” Jess asked with wide eyes.

“Yes ma’am.”

“What for?” King Eremus asked.

“Same thing your wife wants sir, for me to kill Elena and bring her soul. Unfortunately for them, their plans backfired and I now know the truth plus Elena is my Shadow Walker mate so I won’t take chances in dealing with whosoever that wants to harm her,” Demo said in seriousness.

“And what about you? Don’t you think you will harm her eventually?” Kind Eremus asked.

“I won’t, I wasn’t a murderer sir, I only did what I have to do for love. I have never felt guilty like I am doing right now for killing those Princesses unjustly. But the truth is I am really in love with your daughter. I am not sure of her feelings to me yet, but I am very sure of mine.” Demon explained.

“Still yet I can’t allow you to be with my daughter who is a princess and has a lot of enemies who want to take her powers away like my wife is doing at the moment,” king Eremus said not moved by Demon explanation.

“My father is the king of the demon, my mother the Queen of the Shadow Walkers, I am just a mixture of both sir, and I know what’s right and wrong but I am promising you right here and now that no harm shall come to Elena, you, your kingdom and everything you own. Plus, I’m a businessman with my own companies around the world.” Demon explained and even went ahead to tell him the name of his company which left both King Eremus and Jess speechless to their bones. “No one knows I’m the CEO except you two. I really love your daughter sir, you’ve got to believe me when I say that. Please give me a chance to prove my love for your daughter.”

“What relationship do you have with my wife?” King Eremus asked, shifting the subject.

“Nothing, she and my ex wife know themselves and plan to get Elena’s soul, though I’m 100% sure that Camilla nor Hades knows that she is Elena’s mother.” Demon answered. “So sir try to think about what I just told you now, truly I disguise myself to trace Elena and have her killed but I fall in love with her instead and even now that I know the powers she possesses, that hasn’t changed my love for her in fact it has increased.” He added.

“We will be leaving for Eras Kingdom tomorrow,” king Eremus said in finality. “And I don’t want to see you near her or near my kingdom.”

“You should know that I am the type of person who doesn’t give up on what he loves. She is my love sir and I will visit your kingdom whenever I want to, sir.” Demon challenge.

“I see you are the stubborn type,” king Eremus said with a hardened expression.

Demon only smiled but didn’t say a word. All these while Elena has been eavesdropping on their conversation. Her heart fluttered when she heard the words that Demon told her father. She couldn’t deny the fact that she wasn’t attracted to the beautiful man. She hopes he repeats the words ‘I love you’ to her and he will see her next step.

She is in love with Demon and couldn’t prevent her heart from falling deeply in love with him even more now that he has dared her father.

She was happy that he had cut all ties with his first wife.

Demon voice broke through her thoughts as he said to her father.

“Instead of you being concerned about me and stopping me from helping you and in return protect my love, you should be more concerned about what Annabel would do once she’s back. She is a very dangerous Ninja and no one has ever double crossed her. “He is right King Eremus, forget about his relationship with your daughter, you should be happy we have a strong person as an ally who will always be there to protect Elena,” Jess said in support of Demon after all the beautiful man had saved them from being captured by the Ninja’s Annabel had sent.

“Okay, how do we activate Elena’s power?” King Eremus demanded.

“That has been the question I have been expecting from you, my King. I know how to activate them.” Demon answered.

“How?”

“The only way for Elena powers to be activated is if only a Manticore Creature can unlock it for her.” Demon replied.

“What are you trying to say?” Jess asked with knee interest.

“You are a Manticore Creature but you weren’t the chosen one. I would say Annabel should be the one to unlock the fire powers but we all know what she is capable of and that leaves me with only one person.” Demon answered.

“My mother?” Jess suggested.

“Exactly Ma’am.”

“But how do I contact her, she only appears in Elena’s dream twice,” Jess said. “I haven’t seen her since.”

“You don’t need to worry too much, she will appear to Elena to unlock the fire powers she possesses and then teach her how to control it.”

“Eva you know I have wanted to discuss something important with you but I don’t know how to say it,” Julian said and then blushes. How can he tell Eva he was ready in love with her. The mate pull he now has with her screams of love.

“If you can’t say it just express it with your face.”

“Oh,” Julian said and quickly closed the gap between them, stealing a kiss from Eva and shifting back. “Do you now know what that means?”

“You just kissed me, how do you expect me to know what it means?” Eva said, trying not to smile.

“Okay, to be very frank with you Eva I am a player, but that changes when I set my eyes on you. I love you Eva and I picture myself spending the rest of my life with you. I know it’s soon but I have to let it out, to let you know how I feel about you. I love you Eva.”

“You know I admire you too Julian, scratch that, I love you Julian. I was afraid that you wouldn’t love me, that you would love my sister. I am so glad you love me Julian and I will be faithful to you. Just promise me you won’t go back to your old lifestyle and you will have my Love fully,” Eva said to him.

“Alright my love, I promise you I will forever be faithful to you,” Julian said without hesitation.

“You and I profess our love for each other through the window,” Eva said laughing silently and Julian laughed at that.

“You are so right my love,” Julian said and once again kissed her lips, this time around wasn’t quick, they kissed deeply and forgot they were at the window and outside.

“My father is around.” Eva chip in playfully.

“Really? King Eremus is here?” Julian asked in surprise.

“Yeah.”

“Then I have to see him immediately and tell him about my feelings and what I feel for you.”

“You know you can’t, I’m still in school and will finish in a year or two.”

“That’s not a worry, I will wait for you to be through with your School. I just want to let your father know then engage you in case he plans to marry you off to a Prince because baby you are mine for life,” Julian said and left the window and went to the frontage of the house and knocked.

Jess, who wasn’t expecting any visitors, went to open the door ready to attack whoever it was but was surprised to see her new neighbour.

“Yes, what can I do for you Julian?”

“I came here to see King Eremus.”

“Who told you he’s here?” Jess asked suspiciously.

“His daughter. I just want to talk to him, please.”

“Come in then.” Jess opened the door wider for him to step in closing the door after him.

Julian quickly entered the sitting and his eyes went immediately to King Eremus.

“Hello my King, it’s a pleasure to finally meet you.”

“And who are you?” King Eremus demanded.

“My name is Julian and I am here to talk about your daughter.”

“My daughter? Please let it not be Elena.” King Eremus said, holding his nose.

“Nope, your other daughter Eva. I want to tell you how I feel about her and-” Julian was Interrupted by a very familiar voice.

“Julian is that you?”

Julian turned to see the owner of the voice and his eyes widened to see him.

“Uncle Chase.”

Demon and his mother with his father know each other as they were business associates. He had always seen Demon in their house when he was a little boy and had always wondered why the beautiful uncle hadn’t aged like his father.

When he had changed into his Leopard form, he came to understand the supernatural world and know where his ‘Uncle Chase’ belongs.

“You’ve all grown up, kid,” Demon said with a smile. “What are you doing here?”
