Billionaire’s Missing Darling

Chapter 7

Chapter 7

At the moment, William was still overseas. It was also unknown to him what had happened at home.

If he were to return and learn that Emma had someone to hurt Olivia, he would surely punish Emma.

Emma was not afraid of punishment, but she feared being driven out of the Taylor family by William. Therefore, she had to reconcile with Olivia before William returned.

“As long as the victim forgives me, William will not do anything, even if he is angry.

“Even though Olivia is narrow–minded and unwilling to forgive me, I must still maintain a humble attitude to show my sincerity to everyone,” said Emma inwardly.

Olivia glanced at the plate in Emma’s hand, which had four different flavored cakes on it.

She was not interested in this type of sweet–tasting cake. Besides, she just woke up and wasn’t in the mood for food.

So, she shook her head and said, “No need. Thanks.”

After speaking, she turned her gaze and instructed the chef to heat up two sandwiches, bring a cup of milk, and deliver them to her room.

Her cold expression made Emma feel uneasy. Emma took a step forward and stopped her. “Olivia, try this. It’s really delicious. I specially made it for you.”

The pretty maid who came with Emma added, “Yes, Miss Olivia, you should try it. Miss Emma woke up at 4 o’clock this morning just to make the cake for you. She made four different kinds because she didn’t know your preferences.”

Olivia ignored the two of them and walked straight past Emma toward the door.

As soon as she reached the doorway, she was met with Emma’s. emotionally charged/interrogation from behind. “Olivia, do you still hate me?”

Olivia furrowed her brows. She was not vindictive and believed that the past should remain in the past. Since the matter had already been discussed that day, she would not dwell on it further. Belonging to NôvelDrama.Org.

However, Emma still dwelled on this matter, evidently.

After thinking for a moment, Olivia turned around and said, “Nah. It’s all in the past now.”

“Then, why won’t you eat the cake I made?” Emma kept asking.

Olivia furrowed her brows. Her delicate eyes appeared cold, and a slight hint of annoyance reflected in her expression. She grew impatient with Emma’s persistence, saying, “These are two completely different matters!” Not eating the cake had absolutely no correlation with hating Olivia. Emma carried the plate of cake and walked up to Olivia, looking at her gently and expectantly. “Olivia, I was wrong before and made a mistake. If you can forgive me, please try it.”

She tilted her head and gave Olivia a gentle smile.

The surrounding servants all looked at the two of them, waiting for Olivia’s reaction. The pretty maid continued to speak in Emma’s support, “Miss Emma put a lot of effort into making these cakes.”

It appeared that if Olivia didn’t cat the cake, it would be a disregard for Emma’s thoughtful gesture.

Olivia did not like to fuss over minor details or engage in petty politics. However, this did not mean that she was weak or incapable of defending herself.

She didn’t really care whether or not she ate this piece of cake. Originally, it could go either way, but she didn’t feel like eating because she didn’t. have much of an appetite in the morning. However, faced with the relentless pressure from Emma now, she didn’t even want to take a single bite.

Olivia chuckled softly before turning around to pour two glasses of water at the dining table, each filling up to only three–quarters with a shallow layer of water.

Everyone was puzzled and watching her movements curiously.

After pouring the water, Olivia brought the two glasses of water to Emma.

Emma was also puzzled by her behavior and did not know what she was up to.

Olivia pushed a glass of water toward Emma and picked up another one. with her right hand, saying, “I apologize for what happened earlier. This glass of water is my way of saying sorry to you. I’ll empty it. Be my guest.”

After speaking, she finished the water in her glass and shook the empty glass at Emma. Her eyes were cold. “This is the way to apologize.”

She pointed at the cake in Emma’s hand and said, “If you don’t eat my cake, it means you won’t forgive me. This is not an apology. It is coercion!”

When speaking, Olivia was calm and indifferent without a trace of mockery, as if only recounting the facts in a calm manner.

She was wearing a simple white T–shirt and casual pants. Although it was a homey and gentle outfit, she still exuded a cold and aloof aura.

It appeared that she exuded a strong presence just by standing there without saying anything.

She had a scholarly demeanor that was both aloof and persuasive, rendering one utterly incapable of resistance.

After Olivia finished speaking, she no longer paid attention to the crowd and turned around to walk away, only leaving a slender and upright back for everyone.

It seemed as if everyone in the kitchen had frozen in place. Until a long time after Olivia had left, they discreetly glanced at Emma before quietly departing.

Just now, they were too focused on Emma’s carefully prepared cake and overlooked her attitude.

“That is not a sincere apology. Who would say such things as, ‘If you don’t eat my cake, it means you won’t forgive me?‘ It’s ridiculous.

“Miss Olivia is right. This is not an apology at all. It’s simply a threat!” they said inwardly.

Emma was standing there, gripping the plate with her fingertips and gradually tightening her grip.

“I really underestimated her! I thought that an orphan living alone like. her would be weak and helpless, but I never expected her to have such. strong resilience like a weed. All this time, I didn’t consider Olivia as a worthy opponent. Even when someone was hired to intimidate and rape her last time, it was Evelyn acting on her own accord,” thought Emma.

She never felt like she would be inferior to Olivia.

Having lived in a wealthy environment for 18 years, with excellent provisions and luxuries in every aspect of life, Emma was better than the average person. It might seem like she had a gentle and innocent. appearance, but she had actually touched the gun.

She had an outstanding appearance, excellent academic achievements, and extraordinary talent. These were all the standard qualities of a well–bred lady.

She was one of the top girls in the group of wealthy ladies. She could ride horses and handle guns. Even in her teens, she had made millions in the stock market.

She had never been taken advantage of by others in all these years.

She glanced down at the cake in her hand and smirked, saying inwardly, “It’s just Olivia Taylor, a nobody. She’s like a weed. No matter how strong she is, she can’t escape being uprooted.”

She smiled brightly at the dining room, but the pretty maid beside her sensed a hint of coldness.

After Olivia finished her breakfast in the room and finished reading a book, the etiquette teacher hired by Amelia arrived.

“Hello, my name is Linda Foster.” The elegant and confident woman extended her hand to Olivia.

Olivia shook her hand briefly. “Olivia Taylor.”

“I have long heard of your name, Ms. Taylor.” Linda smiled brightly, with a hint of playfulness, creating an amiable atmosphere. “The precious. pearl of the Taylor family lost to the outside world.”

“Pearl?” wondered Olivia.

She shook her head and chuckled at the way the Taylor family treated her, feeling unworthy of such a title.

However, she had no intention of explaining to Linda and went straight to the point. “Linda, let’s begin.”

Linda nodded and looked at Olivia. Suddenly, she changed her gentle and friendly attitude and asked a sharp, not–very–friendly question.

“Ms. Taylor, you probably have never even had foreign cuisine and may not even know the proper use of utensils, right?”
