Billionaire’s Side Attraction

Chapter Thirty Three

Javier Lorenzo

I watched over the balcony as the club went crazy Mona got on the stage and started performing her hit single. Francisco discovered her in a pub and brought her to me. I must admit that he has an ear for good voices and can spot talent like I can. Her voice is fire and she can carry an entire room with her energy. Her songs are written by her, with a few suggestions from me and my associates. She is the next big thing, and I’m glad we found her first.

All her fans sang along as she vocalized her song and moved her hips to the beats. For a moment, she looked up at me and smiled in my direction before she returned her focus to her fans. She started making moves just because she knew I was watching.

“You know she likes you, right?” Francisco yelled over the music from beside me. A bottle of beer in his hand.

“I don’t care,” I stated, placing my attention elsewhere. For a moment there, I thought I saw Lula but maybe it was just a figment of my imagination.

“Oh come on, what’s done is done. It’s time to move on, my man.” Francisco said as he took a swig of the beer in his hand. As if it were that easy.

I took a sip of the champagne in my hand. “Not with one of my singers, you know how these things get messy. We should always be professional in our dealings.”This material belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

“So, you have thought about it”. He laughed, earning an annoyed growl from me. I clenched my jaw.

“I’m done with this conversation.” I got up and walked out of the balcony which was only meant for a certain kind of people. It had the best view in the entire club. I made my way into the inner room where there was a different kind of party taking place. The light was red, the air smelled of really expensive cigars, and a stripper was busy dancing at the pole in the middle of the room, taking off her clothes for the amusement of the few bastards watching. Those bastards were my friends…

“Hey, it’s the man of the hour.” Mark greeted with a glass in the air. I shook his hand. The other two raised their glasses at me as well and paid them respect.

I bowed mockingly. “Thank you.” Then I snapped my finger at the girl, she gathered her things and walked off. When we had attained solitude, I continued. “So, what are your thoughts, do you think the investors will like Mona?”

Jerry, the second friend joined in. “She is gifted, I’m sure it won’t be a problem.”

I felt a bit relieved. “I just don’t want her to get disappointed is all.”

Mark patted me on my shoulder. “You always care about your singers, and that makes you a great leader. I promise you that Mona will become the biggest star in the world of music.”

“Thanks, man”. I shook his hand. Just then, I noticed the bouncer signal to me from the hallway and I went to him. “What’s up, Ken”

“Rosa’s here to see you, G.” He stated.

Why the hell would Rosa come here when I’m busy with my promotion? That girl doesn’t know when to quit, does she? “Okay, Thanks man”

“Anytime.” He responded.

I walked out to the lobby and found her standing at the bar. The dress she wore was really short and her boobs were almost popping out from the upper part. If she thinks I will get jealous like I used to do in the past, then she’s highly mistaken. I don’t care what she chooses to wear. “Hey”. She greeted as she took a sip of her drink with a straw.

“What are you doing here, Rosa?”

“I came to congratulate you on your new singer, Mona, is it? She is really pretty.” She took another sip. Her eyes sparkled with Trouble.

“So?”

“Nothing, congratulations.” She smiled. “And don’t forget that I love you.”

“Enough of your foolishness. Don’t disturb me again.” I walked off and returned to the balcony but couldn’t find Francisco; where had he disappeared to? I brushed it off and continued watching Mona do her thing. She grinned when she saw me watching her, and increased the sway of her hips, moving her body seductively to the Spanish guitar being played in the background. I was hypnotized by her performance, there was something about how she moved that was so breathtaking.

After the show, we announced her tour and got people excited. I was in one of the rooms, organizing my thoughts when the door creaked open. I saw Mona standing there.

“I just came to thank you for believing in me, Javier.” She walked in.

I stood up facing here. “No problem at all. I am the one who should be grateful to you for choosing my record label.” I glanced at the door. “I thought you had gone home with the girls.”

“No.” She stated coyly. “I just wanted to show you my gratitude.” Her hands snaked up my chest but I held them away.

“Don’t. Just go, please.”

Her face dulled. “Is it because of Lula? I thought it was over between the two of you.”

“Mona, you want us to work together, don’t you?” I asked firmly.

She stuttered. “Y-Yes Sir”

I nodded. “Good. Then, respect yourself and keep the relationship between us strictly professional. Do you understand?”

She looked at me as if I were a ghost. “Producers like you are rare, Javier. I’m glad I was lucky enough to find you.”

“I’m the lucky one.” I smiled halfheartedly as she turned around and left the room. I went to shut the door behind her when someone else appeared at the doorway. I recognized her from the day Lula and I arrived in Houston. I think she was the girl who Lula referred to as Celia. “However may I help you, miss?”

She folded her hands on her chest. “I want to talk to you about Lula.”
