Chapter 23: Memory from the past.

'That girl just now looks a little familiar.' Su Yumi thought.

" Yumi!!" Li Seulbi called out her grandmother name who was daze in her thoughts. Su Yumi was

shocked to see Li Seulbi at this hour. She looked at her wrist watch and in disbelief walked towards Li

Seulbi.

Li Seulbi was smiling as she was in a great mood. She was leaning on the wall for the support. Su

Yumi stood in front of Li Seulbi.

"Xiao Seulbi, Are you fine??"Su Yumi asked worriedly.

Su Yumi was taken aback by her blooming smile that she had never seen before. "Yumi, I accidently

slipped on a wet floor and got hurt in the knee. So, i came home early after asking for permission."

"Slipped? Hurt your knee? Let me see." Su Yumi squatted down and checked Li Seulbi's knee which

was covered with bandages.

She frowned "Seulbi, It looks so painful. You silly child, Why are you still standing?!..Let's go inside

quickly..Don't stress your knee."

Li Seulbi shook her head "Actually it was painful. But not now..Do you know I can jump as well." Su

Yumi stopped Li Seulbi from jumping." Aish this child..Don't jump, you will hurt yourself. Do you want

me to carry you now?"

Li Seulbi chuckled " Yumi, I am really fine. And i am so fat that you can't support me upto my room..So,

forget about carrying."

Su Yumi slapped slightly on Li Seulbi's shoulder. "Though i am old and look weak but i have enough

strength to piggyback you and tour the whole garden. "

" But i can do this, right?" Suddenly they heard a hoarse sound from behind. Li Seulbi who was

laughing suddenly froze. Her smile disappeared instantly. 'Fa..Father.'

They both turned to see Li Cheng standing in front of the door. No one knew for how much time he was

standing there and listening to their conversation.

He stepped forward a little and repeated himself. "Although mother can't piggyback you then I can

piggyback you to your room, right?..I am your father and if my daughter is injured, it's my responsibility

to care for her..Isn't that right?!"

Li Seulbi didn't react. She was just looking at Li Cheng without blinking. Then, the morning event

flashed in her mind.

'Seulbi, Won't you say goodbye to your father?!'

'Is it that hard?! I mean Li Ruan and Li Ri always says goodbyes to me before going school. Then, why

not you?!...And we both haven't talk since long ago. I have a few day holidays, this is the time we can

interact more with eachother.'

She almost forgot about it. Seeing she was not reacting, Li Cheng frowned. Su Yumi also looked at Li

Seulbi and shook her shoulder slightly " Seulbi.."

Li Seulbi was startled. She looked at Su Yumi with complex feeling. Su Yumi was well aware about how

Li Seulbi must be feeling. The daughter whom Li Cheng never cared of.. was suddenly paying much

more attention to Li Seulbi recently.

Su Yumi held her hand "Seulbi, Actually..You were right i can't take you to your room as i am old

now..So..So take help from your father,Ok?!"

Li Seulbi looked down on her knees and bit her lower lips. To not let her grandmother worry much

about her, Unwillingly she nodded her head slightly.

Li Cheng saw her expression. He was upset that his daughter unwillingly accepted his help. But it was

his fault that he is guilty now. He was feeling angry upon himself for not caring about his own daughter

till now.

He saw her suffered but didn't do anything. He cursed himself to be such a demonish father.

He walked forward and squatted down showing Li Seulbi his back so that he could piggyback her to her

room. But Li Seulbi didn't hop in instead stared at his back. Because something flashed in her mind

again.

It was the memory of her when she was eight years old. It was strange it was the first time after the

accident she got her childhood memory. She was crying while sitting on the garden.

She was looking at a certain direction. She was watching a man's back piggybacking a little boy and

catching the hand of a little girl as they were moving further away.

Their silhouettes became smaller and smaller disappearing from her sight. Li Seulbi knew the man was

her father and the boy and girl were her step siblings.

Her heart felt a sharp pain as her eyes became foggy. Her mind was in a mess. That scene of past kept

revolving in her mind. Her breathing hastened. Her forehead started to be covered with sweat.

Su Yumi saw the change in Li Seulbi's expression and knitted her brows tightly.
