CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery

Chapter 1119

Nina shot him a playful glare.

"Mommy-," Orion whined, shaking her arm and turning on his charm.

Nash quickly followed suit, mimicking Orion's tone. "Honey-."

Nina couldn't take it anymore. "Alright, both of you, stop it! Can we just go home now?" she said, flustered.

They were still standing at the kindergarten entrance, and talking about making babies was hardly appropriate. Although she and Nash were now like an old married couple, they couldn't be so shameless in public. If anyone saw them, especially a reporter, it could easily turn into unwanted gossip. Nash grinned and pulled her close. "Alright, let's go home and work on that baby!"

He led her to the car, his arm around her shoulders, while his other hand held Orion's. But Orion slipped out of his grip and ran over to Nina's side instead.

Although Nina didn't say anything, her gaze fell on Nash with a deep, lingering look of a silent reproach.C0ntent © 2024 (N/ô)velDrama.Org.

As soon as they got home, Nash's father, Pharaoh, greeted them at the door.

With Micah and Freya busy overseeing the Yaren Tribe's development, Pharaoh had officially stepped down and now had plenty of free time. Ever since his grandson had asked him to stay, he hadn't left. "Grandpa!" Orion's eyes lit up, and he dashed straight into Pharaoh's arms.

Pharaoh, equally delighted, scooped Orion up. "Come on, let's go have some fun!"

Nina started to say something, but before she could finish, Nash wrapped his arm around her waist and whispered in her ear, "If Dad doesn't take him, how will we get to work on that baby?"

Nina blushed, playfully swatting Nash's chest. But instead of being annoyed, Nash laughed softly. "Sweetheart, timing is everything. We need to make the most of it."

Before Nina could protest, Nash scooped her up in his arms. Pharaoh and Orion hadn't gone far, and Nina didn't dare make a scene with them so close by.

Although they had been married for years, Nash still had the upper hand in strength. In just a few minutes, Nina found herself surrendering to him.

Meanwhile, Quincy was training a new hire. She was a top graduate named Lydia Fay. She had interned at a state-owned enterprise and

came

e from a well-connected family. But despite her background, Lydia had joined York Corporation entirely on her own merits.

Quincy only needed to explain something once, and Lydia caught on immediately without asking a thousand follow-up questions. He couldn't help but be impressed. "If you'd joined the company sooner, I wouldn't have had to work so hard!" hejoked, stretching his arms.

He had shouldered the burden of running the company alone for five long years, only turning to Zoe in moments of real need.

Lydia remained modest. "I'm just getting started, so things are going smoothly now. But who knows, over time you might start noticing my flaws."

Quincy cut her off. "Practice makes

perfect. With your qualifications,

even if issues arise, they won't be deal-breakers. Alright, you're taking the lead on this project. Tonight, we're meeting to finalize the deal."

Lydia glanced down at the documents in her hand. It was a major collaboration involving the Hall and Smith Corporations, as well as their legal counsel, Ben. These were Nash's closest friends.

The fact that Quincy was handing her this deal right off the bat couldn't just be about trust. His earlier comments made Lydia think this was more of a test.

"Mr. Quincy, you don't have to keep testing me. I'm not interested in using my family's connections. I'm here to prove myself and make a name through my own efforts."
