Chapter 915
Upon seeing the words "honey" and "baby," Vincent frowned slightly.
Rosalie had a husband and a baby? So, she was already married.
She looks to be in her early twenties, which was relatively young. Yet, she was already married and had a child.
For some reason, he felt a sense of loss, but soon after, he found it ridiculous. What did he have to feel lost about? He didn't even know her.
Vincent wanted Rosalie to sleep a little longer, but her husband seemed very worried about her. If he didn't reply, he might call the police. So, Vincent picked up Rosalie's phone and clicked to reply. [I didn't sleep well last night. I want to sleep a little longer; I'll call you later.] Sebastian quickly replied, [Alright, go ahead. I'll wait for your call.]
Vincent looked at the text and suddenly felt a surge of annoyance.
Rosalie opened her eyes. It was probably noon already. She sat up from the bed and rubbed her eyes.
She glanced at the alarm clock; it was 12 PM.
Rosalie immediately got out of bed and went to the bathroom to wash up. When she came out, she saw Vincent walking toward her.
"You're awake? Sorry for sleeping so long. How are you feeling? Do you feel better?" she asked.
"I'll survive. Can you cook?"
"Huh?" Rosalie looked at him in confusion.
Vincent said, "I'm hungry."
Rosalie instantly understood. "I can cook. What do you want to eat?"
"Anything is fine; you decide."
"Okay, is there a supermarket nearby? I'll go buy some groceries. There's nothing in your fridge."
Vincent pointed to the fridge. "There is now."
Rosalie walked to the fridge and opened it. She found it stuffed full of fresh vegetables, fruits, and meats.
"Just do your thing."
After saying this, Vincent went to the
living
Com, sat on the couch, p
up a bottle of beer, and started
drinking while watching TV
Rosalie picked out some meat and vegetables, washed them, and prepared to cook.
Suddenly, she remembered something. She promised to contact Sebastian in the morning but had forgotten. Her phone wasn't in her pocket.
Rosalie came out of the kitchen and said to Vincent, "Sorry, I need to grab my phone from your room. It's in there."
Vincent responded with a simple "sure" without looking up.
Rosalie went to Vincent's room and picked up the phone from the bedside.
As she came out, she heard Vincent say, "Your husband called you and sent a text. I replied for you."All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.
Rosalie frowned and immediately opened the message to check the contents. "Why did you...?"
"You were sleeping, and I didn't want
е
to disturb you. I didn't say anything
else, just replied to that one text and didn't peek at anything else on your phone."
Vincent seemed to feel that he hadn't done anything wrong. Or maybe he didn't care at all.
Even though Rosalie didn't feel uncomfortable with what he had done, she couldn't turn back time. She didn't say much and took her phone to the kitchen.
She dialed Sebastian's number, and it was quickly connected. "Seb, sorry I didn't call you in the morning. I overslept and just woke up."
"It's alright. I'm just glad you're okay. But I was quite worried and almost came to find you."
"You don't need to look for me. I'll be back soon."
"Will you be back today?"
Rosalie replied, "I'll be back this afternoon."
"Alright, I'll wait for you at home with Steve."
Rosalie asked, "How is he? Did he disturb your sleep at night?"
"Nothing I can't take," Sebastian said. "He's quite well-behaved."
