Chapter 33 Drinking
Chapter 33 Drinking
Lorenzo squinted at her while she was looking into his eyes.
He was sitting in the middle, wearing an idle look. In silk-made burgundy shirt and black pants, he
grabbed the glass of whisky to take a sip with his slim clear-cut fingers. As he swallowed, his Adam's
apple went up and down in a sexy way.
“Hey, girl, I haven’t seen you before. Are you new here? Lorenzo, look at her half-face mask, that’s
what you ask for? You love to make it a sense of mystery, huh? I bet you have spent a lot on her to
make her on the list of the most wanted girls here!” a middle-aged man stared at her with burning
desire. Driven by lust, he couldn’t help swallowing.
Lucian frowned and took a look at Lorenzo, who was also in silence. As Lorenzo then replied with an
eye contact with him, he hurried to refill his glass with whisky.
‘What is he doing? Try to play cool? Come on, that’s the way you argue with your girlfriend? Stay silent
and do nothing? Really hard to tell.’ Lucian complained to himself.
“Hey, I know you might be new here. But haven’t you learned how to serve your guests from the
manager? Why are you standing still? Come over here.” As adventurous as Lucian had been, he
started to make a prank to challenge Lorenzo.
“Hey, sweetheart, don’t be scared. I know Lorenzo look too cool to have a talk with. Come on over
here, I got a seat for you next to me. Look at your skin, it must be soft like a baby. Hey, take off your
mask and show us your face. I bet you gotta be freaking alluring!” that obese middle-aged man couldn’t
help getting thrilled because of her beauty.
“Take your hand off from me! I don’t work here. That manager made a mistake!” Jessica slapped his
groping hand away.
“Hey, even if you don’t work here, now you have to! You could never afford to offend any single one
inside this room. Since you have stepped in, just stay!” while speaking, the man grabbed her arm to
pull her inside.
Actually, it wouldn’t take her too much struggle to fight a man like that. However, she was aware that as
a friend of Lorenzo, this guy must be hard to deal with.
Of course, she had recognized Lucian as soon as she entered. She knew what he was planning by
saying that. He was just trying to make a prank and obviously he wouldn’t even touch her.
However, those guys who knew nothing about that were totally driven by lust.
“Hey, sweetheart, I bet you must be the prettiest one among all in this room! What’s that mask for?
What a waste to keep it covering your pretty face! Take it off! We are hungry for a kiss!” some of them
started to whistle and flirt.
Jessica loved suit of office style. So she was wearing a silk black blouse, knee-length skirt and high
heels today. She coiled her hair with hairpin. Her face was covered beneath a half-face mask, which
perfectly revealed part of her ravishing face. She looked uniquely attractive while shining with a sense
of mystery.
Actually, Jessica was the most conservative looking girl among the others in the room. But she still
seemed much more eye-catching than those skimpily dressed.
“Listen, I don’t work as what you wish! I just stepped into the wrong room and I am sorry to make it a
killjoy. How about that? I will drain that glass of whisky to express my apology. If I could walk myself out
after that, just let it go, okay?”
Of course, Jessica knew the wine should be a better choice. But she could tell those guys would
definitely refuse. So she made a compromise. Though the whisky might be of strong alcohol content,
she believed she could still struggle herself out of the room as long as she remained tough will.
Though those guys had seen all kinds of girls, it was the first time to encounter such a tough one. They
all grew much interest about it and then fixed their eyes on her.
“Whisky? Are you sure? Wow, you share the same taste with Lorenzo! Hey, but you gotta know that he
could outdrink us all! I mean all the guys in this room! Think twice!” though Lucian was playing a prank,
he would never allow anything bad happening to her especially in the club he owned. After all, his boss
might still love her. If shit happened, Lorenzo would definitely tear him apart.
But still, Lorenzo only responded with silence. He lit up a cigar and took a big whiff. Then he let out the
pale smoke. It went up and swiveled like a ghost dancing and then vanishing in the air.
“Alright, let me do the job to fill a glass of whisky for you. We have my guarantee that nobody is gonna
stop you if you can walk yourself out of the room after drinking it all.” Lucian said with a smile while Property © 2024 N0(v)elDrama.Org.
taking a peep at Lorenzo.
“Actually, you don’t need to play tough if you can’t drink. If you could please Lorenzo, he might be
willing to free you from the drink. And of course, you can still walk yourself out by then. It’s up to you.”
Lucian continued casually. But he was actually sparing her a chance to make a compromise. After all,
she was still in a relationship with Lorenzo, he supposed.
He believed as long as Jessica made the compromise to apologize first, Lorenzo would even probably
take the drink for her.
However, there was no way back for Jessica as she had proposed so. Though she could tell Lucian
brought about another option for her out of kindness, she still found it hard to drop her ego.
As the whisky ran down her throat, she felt like burning from her neck to the stomach. If it weren’t
because she had taken an ant alcoholic pill beforehand, she would have been knocked down after
taking less than half of the glass of whisky.
Actually, she still kept a hope that Lorenzo would tell her to stop. The whisky seemed too strong for her
to handle.
Meanwhile, Lorenzo was expecting her to ask for help. However, as stubborn as she was, making
compromise would be the last thing she would do ever since she decided to have a clear break-up with
him. So he just sat still and did nothing but watching.
She had been overwhelmed with dizziness when she finished half of the whisky.
“Hey, you don’t need to insist if you can’t. I am willing to take that for you if you could only ask me for
help.” The middle-aged man walked over to her and was about to hug her into his arms.
