Domineering Love

Chapter 3 Marvin's Fiancee

Chapter 3 Marvin's Fiancee

Elizabeth bit her lips in silence, her fists clenched.

Though badly irritated by Marvin's bad-mouthing her mother, Elizabeth was too coward to fight back

even though she had been trembling out of fury.

Marvin stroked her waist while spouting out those humiliating words, "You should take care of your Property © NôvelDrama.Org.

health, or you can't satisfy me with your body. Keep your duty in your mind! From now on, I'll deduct

10,000 for each pound you lose."

Marvin pinched her cheek with his long fingers, his face colored by an evil smile. "To get rich rewards,

eat more in the future, okay?"

A sharp pain shot up her soft skin. Elizabeth's nose suddenly tingled, perhaps, because she had to

suffer the torture for the whole night. Overwhelmed by despair again, Elizabeth was on the verge of a

breakdown.

What happened to Marvin on earth? He used to be a kind elder brother who doted on her. From the

day when his dad suffered a brain hemorrhage, everything had changed. Elizabeth not only had to

endure Marvin's unwarranted hatred and humiliation but earned her mother's medical fee by sleeping

with him. She used to think it was tolerable, but the endless heavy pressure almost suffocated her.

Out of impulse, Elizabeth widened her watery, clear eyes to stare at Marvin seriously, her tone

innocent. "Marvin, when will the torture end? What mistake did I make in hell?"

Marvin's handsome face darkened. He narrowed his eyes without loosening his pinch on her cheek.

Seeing him in silence, Elizabeth produced a smile. Coming back to her sense a moment ago, she

hadn't eaten anything for hours. Her ghastly face seemed quite charming in the dim light.

"Is it difficult to answer? I might as well change to a new one. You used to love me, right?"

Elizabeth asked calmly, knowing that she was risking her life. How amazing she had the guts to do that

all of a sudden! Marvin might strangle her to death. How livid his face was! Marvin clenched her chin

before applying more strength to his hand.

"Elizabeth, never be too curious. You are risking your life. Are you courting death?"

With her chin clutched, the sounds she produced heard quite weird.

"Marvin, the harsher you torture me, the more fully you reveal your mind. You love me, or at least you

used to love me. Otherwise..."

Marvin's face suddenly became fierce.

He grabbed a soft pillow before pressing it against Elizabeth's face as if decided to suffocate her. It

became more and more difficult to breathe. Weak and dizzy, Elizabeth felt her limbs more and more

relaxed. Those questions had hit Marvin's bottom line. He did want to kill her.

Yet, Elizabeth was happy enough. At least, she didn't need to struggle for life at the sacrifice of her

dignity after death. How miserable it was to be crucified by the man who used to love you that much!

She would be fortunate enough if Marvin killed her on the spot. Yet, the pillow wound up being removed

in the end.

It took Elizabeth, whose eyes spun back and face went crimson due to the lack of oxygen, a long time

to regain her smooth breath.

"Marvin, how sad it is that you refused to let me off the hook!" Elizabeth smiled in sorrow.

'Why not pity yourself, Marvin?'

...

Elizabeth didn't wake up until the evening.

Not until then did she realize what a big risk she had taken last night. Perhaps, Marvin would make her

suffer for days again. After all, she indeed badly offended him. Yet, what happened next was far

beyond Elizabeth's expectation.

Marvin entered the villa with a woman in his arms before the dinner was ready.

Elizabeth was dumbfounded. Instead of getting overwhelmed by jealousy, she couldn't believe that it

was Ann, her close pal from childhood rather than some random coquettish girl who had won Marvin's

heart.

As the daughter of a high-ranking official, she was indeed the best future daughter-in-law of the

Bennett family.

Elizabeth and Ann went to the same kindergarten, elementary school, and middle school. Their

universities were even a ten-minutes walk from each other.

Yet, why did she never know that she had dated Marvin?

Ann explained shyly while taking Marvin's arm, "Elizabeth, I'm sorry to hide it from you. Marvin has

dated me for a long time. You know, our families are so close, and it's unwise to make it public before

everything is settled down. Today, Marvin proposed to me and our engagement will be announced later

on. Eliza, you won't blame me for hiding it from you, right?"

Elizabeth froze.

Dating.

Proposal.

Announced their engagement.

Elizabeth felt her heart had been pierced by the surging misery.

Seeing her remain silent, Ann turned to Marvin in helplessness. "Marvin, Eliza was angry. It's all your

fault. We should've told her earlier..."

As serious as always, Marvin stepped forward with a cough before rubbing Elizabeth's hair kindly.

"Eliza, do not be angry. Isn't Ann your best friend? Shouldn't you feel happy about this? Good girl, this

is your future sister-in-law."
