I stared at Darrel blankly not knowing what to say.

What the hell just happened?.

“Did… did I said anything wrong?”he asked, speechlessly.

“Of.. course not”I shook my head.

“But, I really don’t know what’s going on. Wait here, I’ll be back”I said and as I stood up, he stopped me.

“No, I’ll like to take my leave now. Your parents expression isn’t funny”he said and stood up and after offering me a small smile, he stalked towards the entrance door.

“Wait, I should at least accompany you outside”I sighed.

“Sure”he shrugged slowly.

“Fontana!.”I heard mom called and turned to see her on the stairs.

“Be up in a minute”she said, more like a command.

Oh God.

I wonder what the heck is happening.

Why did dad acted like that after hearing his second name, huh?.

Darrel stopped walking and glanced back at me.

“Well, I’m sorry. I have to go”I said softly.

“Yeah, sure”he replied.

I nodded and walked briskly to the stairs, then took it up to my parents room.

I pushed the door open and stepped in angrily.

“A little knock would have been better”dad said while unbuttoning his shirt.

I rolled my eyes and sighed.

“Why did you do that, it wasn’t as if…”

“Please,”dad interrupted.

“I need an alone time”he added.

“But, that…”

“Fontana”he scowled.

I stared at him for some minutes without uttering any word before turning sideways to look at mom.

“We will tell you about this later. Go to your room for now”she said.

And then, with a final look at dad, I stomped out of the room.

Unknown POV

I moved inside the room and went to stand behind him.

“Abort your plan on killing Fontana”he said, without turning to look at me.

“Huh?, what do you mean?”I asked, confusedly.

“Abort your plan on killing Fontana, did I really have to repeat myself?”he scoffed as he turned to me.

“B.. but.., why suddenly..?.. out of nowhere?”I asked again.

He heaved deeply and gazed at me.

“We only follow our client order”

“Client”I repeated and nodded.

“So, what now, are we going to abort the mission?”I asked.

He shook his head and smirked lightly.

“No. I don’t know but for now, I want you to withdraw any plan you’ve sketched out on killing her before”he replied.

“Thank God the poison doesn’t kill immediately”I sighed.

“What do you mean”he frowned.

“Well, I said I will poison her and I’ve kinda do that a long time ago and…”

“And what?, don’t tell me you already..”

“Hear me out first. The poison only kills when it has been taken consecutively in a week which I’d plan on doing but I guess I will have to stop that now”

I moved inside the house and met mom on the couch, filling her nails.

“Gosh, you ladies sure have a problem. You’re filling your nails this late?”I asked.

She looked up and when she saw me, her face brightened up.

“Darrel. What a pleasant surprise”she beamed out smiles.

“Yeah, a surprise it is”I nodded.

“Okay, you don’t look like you’ve came here on your own accord, it seems something is bothering you and we are the one you could think of at the moment to talk to about that. Now, tell me, what is it?”she expounded and asked.

Woah. She literally get that right.

I’m here not to visit them but to visit something with them.

I went to sat beside her and gently turned her to my side.

“Mom”I called with a soft look.

“Yeah?”she raised her brow.

“I want you to tell me the truth. Don’t try to cover anything up, okay?”I said.

She scoffed,”what are you even…”

“Did you know Longworth?, ever heard of the name?”I Interpolated.

Mom’s expression suddenly changed and she look shock about the question.

Okay. This only means she knows something.

“Gosh.. wha.. what did you mean?, everyone in the city knows him, I mean, who wouldn’t know the most wealthy man in here in Roxas city?”she stammered.

Oh right. Stupid me. I shouldn’t have placed the question like that.

“Okay, hum!.”I cleared my throat and moved an inch closer to her.

“Did you have any special relationship with this family, sort of?”I asked.

“Maybe your guys were once a friend or business partner or…”

“Why did you want to know about that out of a sudden?”Mom chimed in.

I sighed and placed my two hands on her shoulder.

“Can you just tell me first?”

She stared at me for some minutes and I saw th reluctant look on her face.

“Mom, you just have to…”

“Fine”she said.

“We are once a business partner”she heaved out.

Business partner?.

I scoffed as I scrolled through her album.

My role model?.

Damn.

That girl is really frustrating. Why won’t she talk to me, huh?. It’s not as if I haven’t apologized…

Oh. Right!.

I haven’t apologized to her!.

Maybe that’s why she’s ignoring me?..

No, I don’t think so.

The way she looks at me tells it all. She despises me.

I remembered what happened in the restroom and threw the phone across the room angrily.

I turned my head sideways and fumed in anger.

Maybe all I have to do is release the video anyway.
