Chapter 298
When Giselle woke up again, the first thing she saw was Hamilton standing in front of her.
Her face turned pale, and she exclaimed, "Brother-in-law, oh!"
Before she could finish, Alden slapped her across the face.
"Stop calling me that if you want to stay alive."
Giselle's face turned even paler. "Mr. Fowler, Mr. Fowler, even though my cousin has passed away, she was still your lady!"
As soon as she finished speaking, Alden slapped her again.
"Keep your mouth shut, got it?"
Giselle was slapped twice, her face swelling up.
Alden didn't hold back on those slaps.
"Mr. Fowler, did I do something wrong?"
Hamilton, standing a few steps away, looked at her intensely. "Did you mess with Scarlett's car?"
Giselle was stunned. "I didn't, Mr. Fowler, I swear I didn't."
Suddenly, Hamilton took off the bracelet he was wearing and pocketed it, then stepped closer to her.
Giselle tensed up, feeling an ominous vibe with every step Hamilton took.
She couldn't understand what was happening.
When Eveleen died, Hamilton didn't delve into the cause, but there was a sense of guilt towards both the Schafer family and the Lynd family. That's why Giselle dared to speak up to Natalia today.
But now, in just a couple of days, any sign of guilt in his eyes had disappeared, replaced by hatred!
Giselle wasn't sure if she was reading the situation correctly, but she felt that Hamilton was full of hatred and murderous intent.
She believed he wanted to kill her.
Realizing this, Giselle started pleading loudly.
"Mr. Fowler, I don't know what's going on. I did argue with Natalia today because I'm grieving over my cousin's death, but I swear I didn't tamper with Scarlett's car. I was busy with loan payments all day. You can check the bank's surveillance; I didn't touch her car, I swear!" Even so, Hamilton approached and choked her.
Giselle struggled to breathe, her face a mix of shock and certainty that Hamilton intended to kill her.
She instinctively struggled, grabbing Hamilton's hands.
"I didn't know..."
Hamilton only stared at her. "Do you know about Evi's situation?"
Giselle's desperate eyes turned frantic.
She knew about Eveleen's impersonation of Evi, but she didn't expect Hamilton to know. It was supposed to be flawless!
Patrick had investigated everything, even bribed the nanny's family to keep them quiet, and the necklace-swapping Natalia's for a fake and then smashing the fake as part of their plan. How did Hamilton find out?
Giselle's panic increased, and she forgot to struggle until she was gasping for air.
Hamilton then threw her aside.
Giselle hit her head against the wall and passed out.
Alden frowned at the scene. His brother had been fixated on Evi's situation for days. Could there really be an issue with Eveleen?
After tossing Giselle aside, Hamilton went to clean his hands.
"What should we do with her?" Alden asked.
Hamilton's eyes were cold. "Dose

her with alcohol, put her in a car with cut brakes, and find a secluded spot. Make sure no innocents get hurt."
Alden nodded, though he hesitated before asking, "Bro, what happened?"
Hamilton's expression softened slightly, a hint of bitterness emerging. "Something happened. I'm trying to figure out how to make amends."
Alden, confused, asked if it was about Natalia. "Did you and Natalia break up again?"
After cleaning his hands, Hamilton responded simply, "She wanted to."
Alden couldn't hide his frustration. "Aren't you going to try to win her back?"
Hamilton looked at him. "You know Natalia. Would it make any difference? Besides..."
Hamilton sighed deeply.
"I really messed up this time."
Alden was speechless, regretting suggesting they confront Eveleen, which might have contributed to their problems.
"Did Natalia find out about us confronting Eveleen?"
Hamilton looked away, mentioning other unresolved issues as well.
He then instructed Alden to check
security footage near the bank for anyone else who might have approached Scarlett's car and to deal with Patrick accordingly

As they were discussing, Hamilton received a call and quickly left for a coffee shop.
Arriving at the café, Hamilton immediately spotted a woman waiting.
"Hamilton," she called out softly.
Nodding, Hamilton approached her.
"Can I get you something to drink?" she said, her face breaking into a warm smile.
"No thanks, do you have what I came for?"
The woman chuckled, "In such a rush?"
Hamilton nodded again, his impatience visible.
Without further ado, the woman handed over a small box to Hamilton.
"Who's this custom-made for?"
Taking it, Hamilton opened the box
to reveal a pair of earrings inside The design was exquisite, and the diamonds sparkled brilliantly softening his gaze.
"Thanks, top designer," he said, before turning to leave.
"If you really want to thank me, take me out for dinner sometime," the woman called after him.
Hamilton simply waved his hand in response.Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.
He headed straight for Scarlett's place.
Scarlett was just coming down the stairs as he arrived.
She greeted him with a cold sneer. "What are you doing here?"
Hamilton was about to reply when his phone suddenly rang.
It was a call from Killian.
"Mr. Fowler, Ms. Jenkins' flight to Boria City leaves in an hour."
