Chapter 41: Don't Care About Someone Like Mr.Dalton (2)
After Danica left, Theo pushed Venice away.
Venice almost could not stand up due to the force of Theo shoving her.She used the table to balance herself as she staggered a few steps before she could pull herself up.
Theo's voice was laced with anger when he spoke.
"Are you happy with the shit show of a scene you just pulled?"
"Are you saying that I am the one who makes a scene?"
The tears Venice was holding immediately fell as she chastised the man she loved.
"Theo, she was with you in the middle of the night. When I came in, you were about to take off her clothes, and you think I was the one making a scene?!"
‘If I did not intervene, what else would have happened between those two together?’ Venice thought in painful resentment.
When he heard Venice's senseless accusations that he was going to take off Danica's clothes, Theo felt that Venice was being unreasonable.
"How can you think that I was undressing her? I accidentally spilled coffee on her clothes, and I just handed her a tissue"
Venice wiped away her tears and sneered at him.
"What do you mean by you spilled coffee on her? I think she made you spill it on purpose. That way, she can use it as an excuse to take off her clothes and seduce you!"
Theo couldn't help but frown at Venice's worthless claims.
She would think like this because she always had a jealous streak.

So, how could he not know if the coffee was spilled on purpose or not? When he brought the coffee to Danica, she had her back on him since she had just turned the computer on.
Her wallpaper was a photo of her.
She was smiling brightly at the camera.
That kind of smile was from the bottom of her heart, like a ray of sunshine.
It dazzled everyone who would see it.
No one could help but be infected by her smile's charm.
It was the kind of smile that he had never seen in their three years of marriage.
In the past, Danica had always smiled at him every day, but it was incomparable to the one she had in the photo.
He was taken aback by what he saw for a moment, that his hand absentmindedly knocked over the coffee, and it all spilled it out.
It was not like what Venice said.
Danica did not deliberately spill the coffee.
Theo looked at the weeping Venice in front of him.
He got up and took his car keys.
"I'll drive you back.Stop crying and calm down now"
He immediately walked away, ending their preposterous argument.
Venice's anger was bubbling into the surface that she kept on crying behind him.
He said that he wanted her to go back to her place and calm down, clearly thinking that she was the one wrong for making a scene.
Her act of being generous and tolerant for so long in front of Theo was completely ruined tonight, all because of Danica.
She hated Danica to death.
However, Venice knew what she wanted in the end.
When Theo escorted her to the door, she had managed to calm down.
After Theo parked the car in front of her place, she did not get out of the car immediately.
Instead, she unbuckled her seat belt, turned to her side to look at Theo, and apologized.
"I'm sorry.I caused all that mess.It was all my fault"
Theo's face was blank and devoid of emotion.
Venice continued as she lowered her eyes and said, "It was wrong of me not to believe you.You are not the kind of person who would lie to me or anyone."
"You used to ignore Danica, but now that you are both divorced, it's natural that you are indifferent towards her.I should have believed that you two were just talking about work. This is all my fault..."
Venice kept on explaining herself and reflecting on how she lost her control and impulse, but all Theo felt was this great deal of irritability because of Venice's words.
It was true that he used to ignore Danica and did everything he could to avoid her.
Now it made him question everything that he had done in the past.
Why did he do those incredulous things again and again to Danica? Since Danica came back from abroad, he protected her from time to time.
He protected her from his sister, Thalia, and the same with Venice. He was impulsive when it came to protecting Danica. He did not want her to get hurt by Thalia or Venice.
Whether they wanted to harm her physically or when they were just talking about her, he would do his best to defend her.
