Ex-husband, Please Respect Yourself

Chapter 74: Sending Flowers

Chapter 74: Sending Flowers

"What opportunities for learning?" Aaron smiled, but he did not show any excitement.

Cathy turned on the computer and said carelessly, "I'm going to New York this week to visit a few customers. If you have time, you can go with me and Nick."

"Still need a business card?"

Cathy looked at him, "Isn't that a simple trick for you?"

He dared to made fun of her because of what happened at last time. It was normal to need a business card? She work much harder than he did when she entered the company. "Hee..." Aaron touched his head and grinned like the silly son of the landlord. "I have time. Tell me the date of departure and I'll prepare for it."Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.

Cathy looked at the computer screen and whispered, "I'll let Nick tell you later, but you have to finish all the work in hand."

Of course, she did not doubt his ability at all.

"This must be." He solemnly nodded his head. "Cathy, if you're okay, I'll go?"

"Wait a minute." Cathy looked at the cup of coffee paper at hand, a trace of coldness showing at the bottom of her eyes, and ordered, "Do what I told you outside before."

Aaron was astonished. "Hmm?"

Following her eyes, he saw the cup of coffee she had not touched since putting it down. Suddenly, he remembered, "Order drinks for LT Company? Didn't you say you couldn't order?"

Cathy tapped her finger on the keyboard and smiled casually.'If they can't drink in the morning, you can send it in the afternoon. We'll always have to reciprocate, otherwise other people would think we are stingy. You order first. Count on me. Do not reimburse. I will transfer the money back to you."

"OK, OK." Aaron nodded blankly and turned to leave. Suddenly, he thought of something. Then he went back to the table and smiled. "I'll look at the LOGO and search it online."

He turned on the camera of the mobile phone and set the paper cup, but as soon as his finger touched it, his face changed, "Icy?"

"No, isn't it a hot drink? How come your drink is icy?" Aaron couldn't believe it. He picked up the cup, opened it and shook it. He really found some crushed ice.

Nobody drank cold drinks in this weather even though it was a little hot at noon.

No wonder she drank hot water as soon as she came in.

Cathy seemed to laugh unconcerned. "Maybe it's a mistake.

Aaron didn't believed that she was in mood for joke.

How could the Secretary Johnson have made a such mistake when she said clearly that she had ordered her a new item?

He hesitated for a moment and inquired curiously, "Cathy, are you at odds with the Secretary Johnson? You've known each other before?"

Didn't that LT Company just move across the street?

Cathy looked at him funnily. "Knowing your mouth can say, I didn't expect that you are more gossip than women. Okay, don't explore the little grievances between women. Do as I said, but remember, tell them they are invited by Secretary Johnson. It's dry and hot. People are sleepy in the afternoon. Drink ice drinks to refresh them."

Aaron touched his chin and flicked his lips and laughed, "I see. Cathy, you can rest assured that I will revenge for you."

She didn't say she wanted revenge.

But she didn't say much. She just let him to get busy.

Marian has left. When she came downstairs, she dialed a number.

When the telephone was connected, she immediately smiled and said, "Aunt, can I accompany you to dinner tonight?"

"Well, see you tonight. Bye-bye."

After the call was cut, Marian's smile slowly cooled down and looked up at Vanten Technology Company. Her eyes were full of hatred.

In the afternoon, Cathy was discussing the project with her subordinates in the office area of the department. A low voice of discussion was suddenly overwhelmed by a different voice outside the door. "Hello, who is Miss Cathy Lawson, please?"

"Wow, it's for Cathy."

"My God, who is so romantic?"

Everyone's eyes were drawn.

Cathy was still looking down at the subordinate's computer and whispered to explain. She completely didn't notice it.

"Cathy, Cathy..."

Someone pushed her excitedly, and Cathy suddenly woke up and looked at her. "What's wrong?"

"Are you Miss Lawson?"

Before Cathy could respond, she was blocked by a large bunch of bright red roses.

For a few seconds, she saw the flower shop assistant hand in the bill, "Miss Cathy, please sign and accept it."

"What, who sent it?" Cathy was somewhat confused. She received roses for the first time in the company.

The assistant smiled and handed her the pen. "We don't know, it's an anonymous customer. Please sign your name." Cathy compressed her lips in confusion, and put the signature, and then stood with a bunch of roses in her arms.

After the assistant left, people's gossip eyes immediately swept over.

"Sister Cathy, is this the flower my brother-in-law gave you? Is it too romantic?"

Someone didn't know about her divorce and looked at her with envy.

"Such a large bunch of roses, still bright, have been sent to the company. it's too romantic."

"Cathy, is today your wedding anniversary?" Her department knew all about her birthday.

As if she hadn't heard all the questions around her, Cathy stared at the flowers for a few seconds and thought deeply. Then she looked up and smiled at the people. "Even the name was not signed. It was supposed to be from the customers. I put it here. If you like it, you should unwrapped it and put roses in vase and not make it all over the place."

Putting the flowers directly on the table next to her, she said nothing more and turned away.

Aaron in the corner looked up at her from behind the computer, and there was no expression on his face.

Cathy went back to her office and was still searching for someone to send her flowers.

But the first one she ruled out was Tyrone, who was definitely not the man.

However, she hasn't had very close contacts with many of her clients lately.

Who else was there?

Sitting in an office chair, she lighted the desktop with a finger. Cathy was thinking, narrowing her eyes, and her mobile phone suddenly shook.

She was shocked, picked up her cell phone, looked at the caller. It was a strange number, so she slid to answer.

"Hello,this is Cathy?"

Ten seconds later, a quiet and gentle man's voice came through.

"Miss Lawson."

Cathy's eyes changed slightly. "Mr. Franklin?"

"It's me." The man smiled and was obviously in a good mood.

"You? How can you call me personally?" Cathy was surprised.

According his identity, even when he wanted to contact with Mr. Brown, his secretary would do it for him.

"I just want to ask you, do you like flowers?"

Cathy's face changed for a while and she grinned stiffly. "You sent the flowers?"

She was a little confused now. What did James want to do?

He treated everyone very polite. Although she had not seen him look at other women, why did he send her flowers? "Yes, do you like it?"

Cathy's smile became stiffer but her tone was still polite. "Yes, but you...Why did you send me flowers all of a sudden?" "I don't know exactly what you like, so I ordered it. Did it cause you any trouble?" The man was a little embarrassed. "Uh, no." Cathy immediately denied, and then asked politely, "I just want to ask if you have anything to look for me?"
