Demelza tried to ignore Nathan’s existence in the restaurant even though she could feel his eyes fixed on her. She decided to avoid anything that will lead to any drama.

She kept serving tables with orders and with every step she took, she could feel Nathan’s eyes following. The annoyance of him not helping her and at the same time making her life uncomfortable made her want to scream out loud. But can she? Knowing she couldn’t, she kept avoiding his eyes to prevent them from exchanging glances.

He soon got tired and left the restaurant with the lady after watching Demelza for so long.

Demelza heaved a sigh of relief seeing him go as it gave her a chance to feel comfortable in her own skin.

Work hours went by fast and she took a few extra shifts before calling it a day.

She changed from her work clothes into her casual wear and headed out of the restaurant.

“Get in,” Demelza paused as she heard Nathan’s voice. She turned and she saw him leaning against his car with the keys in his hands. She looked way and ignored him for being so authoritative plus the fact that she did not want to give him the chance to belittle her again.

She ignored him and took a step forward then she heard his voice again.

“Get in.” This time he sounded more stern.

“I don’t want to,” Demelza responded, walking away.

Nathan walked to her talking to her but she still refused to stop. Impatiently, Nathan grabbed her by the hand which halted her.

“I need you to get into the car,” Nathan said, staring deep into her eyes.

“And said no,” Demelza responded.

“You can go into a stranger’s car but not into mine?” Nathan asked her with his voice laced with jealousy.

“Really? Get out of my way,” Demelza said.

“Not even in a million years.”. Nathan responded being very adamant.

She tried to find her way through but he wouldn’t let her.

While they stood on the road trying to struggle, they began hearing thunderstorms.

“Damn, get into the car” Nathan said, sounding very pissed.

Standing there waiting for her to go to the car, it suddenly started raining heavily. Aniyed, Natasha frabbehr by the hand as he walked to the car.

He opened the door for her and pushed her about to get into the car.

After she got into the car, he went to the driver’s side entered the car too, and began driving.

“You are a stubborn woman, you know that right?” Nathan asked her.

Demelza mad faces at him for saying that and looks outside the window afterwards.

“I’m not blind, you know that right?” Nathan said to her.

“Whatever,” Demelza responded sounding really pissed.

“By the way, why are you still working?” Nathan asked.

Demelza confused looked at him with an eyebrow up, “am I supposed to stop work?” She asked him.

“Well, I guess” Nathan said.

Just then it hit her that he might have been the one who sent theiney to her. Wanting to speak, she stuttered a little with saying anything in particular.

She took a breath and then decided to speak. “Are you he one that sent that money to me?” Demelza asked referring to the huge amount of money that as deposited into her account.

“What money?” Nathan asked looking confused which to Demelza, she felt like he was acting confused.

“Don’t act dumb” Demelza said to him.

“I can’t act dumb if do not know what you are talking about.” Nathan responded.

Demelza mouthed like she was making mockery of him which made Nathan laughed a bit as it was funny to him.

Seeing Nathan laughed so much and genuinely surprised her as she has never seen him laugh so much.

“But for real, did you do that to feel less guilty about trashing me?” Demelza asked nit wanting to give it a rest.

“Do what Demelza?” Nathan asked.

“The money, in my account?” She asked raising her eyebrows.

“Are we still on that?” Nathan asked.

“Yes.” Demelza responded.

“Then, you better drop it already.” Nathan told her.

Demelza kept quiet in defeat as she was unable to get Nathan to admit he was the one that sent the money to her. The rest of the drive him was a quiet one with both of them exchanging glances at intervals.

Finally in front of her apartment, Nathan parked and they both looked at each other a while both feeling the chemistry they felt the first night they had sex.

Unable to restrain himself, Nathan put his firm soft hand at the back of her neck pulling her head closer and giving her a really deep kiss. Demelza tried to pull back but Nathan kept her locked in still enjoying the taste of her lips. Demelza didn’t realize when she surrendered to him and kissed him back.

They kissed for awhile, enough to give him an erection which made him realize how much he is attracted to her but he still remained in denial. Seeing the budge in Nathan’s trouser, Demelza moved back s she wasn’t ready tonguve Nathan the chance to trash her again. He kept go of her and kept staring at her not believing his eyes.

“Thank you for dropping me off” Demelza sad and alighted from the car. She walked into her apartment without looking back. Nathan watched her walk in until he could not see her anymore.

Immediately Demelza got into her house, she shut the door and leaned her back on it as she could feel butterflies in her belly from the kiss Nathan had given her in the car. She stayed there for awhile and then jolted from a hard knock on her door.

She looks through the peep hole to see who it is and her eyes widen as she saw Nathan standing in front of her door.

She took a deep breath in before opening the door.
