Fatal Kiss Of The Vampire

Chapter 450: She Did That On Purpose

Kylie held James’s bowl in her hand, but Stephen abruptly stood up before she could open the Thermos bucket.

“I just remembered the soup is overcooked today, sorry.” He lifted the Thermos bucket up, then turned around, striding away without hesitation.

James was struck dumb for a second, seeing Stephen slam the door of his Lamborghini, then turned to look at Kylie. “Is your friend mad?”

“No, it’s fine.” Kylie didn’t bother to glance at Stephen and began to discuss the following scenes with James while eating.

She did that on purpose.

Kylie meant to let Stephen know their relationship clearly. He now was Dinah’s husband, while she was Ethan’s wife. They were close friends, but there were boundaries as well.

Ethan was displeased that Stephen sent her soup yesterday.

Although he didn’t say it aloud, Kylie knew what she should do.

Stephen, however, didn’t leave right away after he went back in his car.

He had a little anticipation that Kylie might chase him up.

He anticipated Kylie could explain to him that she treated James well only because they needed to work together in the new show for a long time. If so, he could understand it.

Nevertheless, to his surprise, no matter how hard he slammed the door and even pretended to answer a call to extend time, Kylie wouldn’t give him a look, let alone chase him up.

With a loud sound, Stephen threw his phone away, and it hit the windshield.

There was an obvious leak that appeared on it at once.

Stephen, who could always stay calm, now lost control of himself because of Kylie.

At this moment, his phone, which rolled down beneath his chair, rang all of a sudden. Stephen took a long breath in to compose himself before he bent to pick it up.

“What?” He sounded cold.

“Where are you now?” Dinah said in anxiety. “I need your help. I just found a new clue of the Clown.”

“Meet me at the Empire Hotel an hour later.” Stephen hung up the call, then turned to look at the door.

Staff members were walking in and out, but Kylie was still absent.

When Stephen was back in Empire Hotel, Dinah and Vincent were already waiting for him outside his suite.

“What you’ve found?” Stephen glanced at the small bottle in Vincent’s hand, then opened the door of his suite.

Dinah lost her patience and pushed him to walk inside. “Let’s get inside now! We’ve waited for you for a long time!”

Vincent still remembered that Stephen had been the other man in Ethan and Kylie’s relationship, so he was very dissatisfied with him and leaned against the wall in silence.

He didn’t follow them up until the door was open. After entering the suite, he still sat on the sofa without saying a word.

Dinah was the hostess here to some extent. Since Stephen wasn’t willing to talk to Vincent, she at least should pour a glass of water for him.

When Dinah walked away, Vincent stared at the Thermos bucket placed on the coffee table by Stephen with a cold face. “What? You still have hope?”

Stephen came back with the Thermos bucket, which meant he must have left to send soup to someone.

Kylie was the only answer in his mind.

“I don’t think you have the right to ask me questions about my personal affairs.” Stephen looked unkind and leaned backward on the sofa with his legs crossed.

“I know,” Vincent snorted. “You don’t deserve a friend. Not even Dinah because she’s a good woman. And oh, are you going to threaten me about the biggest secret of my clans. Huh, Lord Ethan will not let you off, bear that in your mind,”

“Are you threatened?” Stephen beamed.

“You think so? You a mere human, while I am an immortal, think before you act,” Vincent warned him and threw a disdainful look.

Kylie was the girl of Stephen’s close brother, and it was unacceptable that he tried to steal Kylie away from Ethan.

After a while, Dinah walked out with a glass of water and noticed the tense atmosphere in the living room. The two men sat across each other, but refused to talk or look at one another! This is from NôvelDrama.Org.

“Vincent, have some water.” Dinah put the glass of water down in the front of Vincent, then winked at him.

She wanted to remind Vincent that he must tolerate it no matter how he disliked Stephen because they needed Stephen’s help now.

Vincent understood her meaning, but it was hard for him to be kind to Stephen.

“Here.” Vincent squeezed the bottle into Dinah’s hand. “You can tell him, and I’ll wait for you in the car.” After that, Vincent stood up and left.

“Hey!” Dinah called him, but Vincent wouldn’t turn around. “Well, since he’s gone, you can take this glass of water.”

Hearing that, Stephen gave her a stern look. Dinah pouted, then picked the glass up. “Fine, I’ll get you a new one. Neat freak!”

Saying that, she walked back to the kitchen, but she thought it would be a waste of water if she poured it out.

She took out the cup Stephen usually used from the closet, then poured the glass of water into Stephen’s cup.

“Do you know Earth Nightclub?” Dinah asked when she walked towards Stephen with the cup of water in her hands.

“Yes, it grew fast. Although it looks normal on the outside, the inside is completely different.” Stephen took the cup and drank the water.

Dinah was astonished. “Have you been there before?”

Stephen looked at her. “You just want to ask me this?”

“Of course not.” Dinah denied it. “Anyone who stays there for the first time will get a magical pill for free, but it costs 10 thousand dollars the second time!”

Stephen snorted with disdain. “If you’re simply jealous of their profits, and there is nothing else you want to tell me, I need to go back to my company.” Saying that, Stephen moved forward and was about to put the cup down.

“Please don’t!” Dinah supported his cup with her hands. “There is something serious I need to tell you.”

Stephen raised his cup again. “Don’t waste my time.”

“I got reliable information that the guests who have taken a magical pill will be addicted to it. Let alone 10 thousand dollars, they’re willing to spend a fortune on it!”

Dinah said. “I did everything I could and took back a magical pill. I need you to help me test it.”

Stephen stretched out his hands. “Where is it?”

“Wait a second.” Dinah stood up and walked into the kitchen. She just put the small bottle in the kitchen cupboard.

She took the bottle out and shook it, but didn’t hear any sounds. She frowned with confusion, then turned it upside down.

“Jesus!” Dinah was shocked.

It was empty!

The pill was gone!

“W-what happened?” Dinah got nervous. “I saw Vincent put a pill into it with my own eyes.” She walked in circles, then stopped all of a sudden.

Vincent didn’t notice where the bottle cap was when he squeezed it into her hands.

The pill must have slid down into the glass of water when she held it walking back to the kitchen.

Thinking of that, Dinah felt a little scared.

“Stephen!” She dashed out of the kitchen and checked the cup in his hands at once.

Dear God, it was also empty!

Stephen had drunk the water up.
