Fated For Lycan's Luna

Chapter 149

Chapter 149

Chloe's POV

“What in the...” Allan and Vanessa all exclaimed in surprise. Fortunately they all did it through mindlink and were never able to express this outwardly.

| acted as fearful as possible while | contemplated what should be the best reaction for this matter. Deep inside | was in disbelief that Alpha Kain would first suspect me out of all the guests present in the hall.

‘Could it be the matter earlier?’ | racked my brains to think why would Alpha Kain put his suspicion on me until | remembered the little mishap | made earlier.

Before | could open my mouth to speak, Alpha Kain had already ordered his strongest warriors to surround me and my companions, much to my dismay.

His eyes looked at me as if he was saying that since it was his territory, he is the one to decide on things and that he is really sure that | was the one who did it.

“What shall we do, Chloe?!” Vanessa asked, clearly panicking inside.

“We..” Before | could order my people, Alpha Kain’s voice already sounded, “Start the search!”

As soon as his words came out, the warriors pinned us down ruthlessly and the elders started searching through our bodies. “Not good!” My heart started to get nervous as | still had something in me that could potentially seal our fate at this moment. The clutch that | was wearing had a small vial of poison, which | developed whilst studying under Teacher Astor.

It was a small vial, clearly unnoticeable, and highly lethal. | always carry it with me as a last measure should there be a need to kill an enemy.

However, now is clearly not the time to use it as | knew that | would not only be against Alpha Kain, but against all the Alphas around me.

| snuck it in between the lining of my leather clutch so that it could not be easily discovered. But anything could happen at this moment and | dared not to be complacent.

It would take a highly meticulous person to notice the tiny bulge within the cushion of the clutch and so nothing is really certain at this moment.

Cold beads of sweat rolled all over my body as my heart started pounding harder. Vanessa and the rest were all being searched one by one as everyone watched with fear.

The more the time for me to be searched approached, the more | started to panic as | could see that Alpha Kain’s men ensured that nothing was to be missed in the search.

| tried to put a brave front as much as possible while hoping that there would be another distraction that would come and give me a chance to eliminate the evidence.

| only need a blink of an eye, and | could use my aura to flick the poison vial away from me! After that, my problems will be easily solved!

However, the miracle | wished to happen never did and I’m stuck to being discovered. As they searched through my body, my brain was already wracking how to explain what they would see in it.

Finally, my turn has arrived when | have yet to find an opportunity to slide the vial out of my clutch.

Alpha Kain stepped forward, his gaze devoid of any mercy in it. His shadow casted over me like a towering mountain | could not climb.

The searchers started to move and | could only watch with a conflicted mind.

| was debating myself whether | should use force to get out of the situation, but the eyes that were affixed toward me had kept me sober from the reality. | cannot fight in here directly!

The elders came and searched my body, they took away my clutch bag and turned it upside down.

All of the things in it poured out, fortunately, there were only the things that belonged to the original Alpha Aira, and no suspicious item was found.

The elders then looked at Alpha Kain and announced, “Nothing is found suspicious my Lord.”

Alpha Kain’s expression did not change, and even if | wanted to, the emotions in his eyes could not give me a sense of relief. “Do it one more time!” He insisted, causing my nervousness to increase one more time.

They searched one more time and to my horror, the female elder felt the little bulge where | hid the vial.

Without hesitation she took a sharp knife and cut the bag open, then and there a tiny crystal vial rolled over causing a cold wave of air to drown me.

Alpha Kain stepped forward to take the vial and looked at me. A strong sense of danger surrounded me as he asked, “Alpha Aira, care to explain what this is?”

My heart started to beat loud in panic as | was already scanning the crowd to see whether there could be an escape route for us to take after creating some distraction.

“My Lord, Alpha Kain! That is a medicine that could stop bleeding in an instant! | always bring a small dose of it with me in case | happen to be ambushed on the way. It could buy me some time from a grievous wound while | run and escape from my pursuers!”

“Believe me, that potion isn’t what you think it is!”This content belongs to Nô/velDra/ma.Org .

| hastily created a bluff in my last attempt to try to get away with the situation but clearly seeing that Alpha Kain had already set his suspicion toward me, | knew that he would not buy my explanation.

There’s nothing we can do right now but to try to get out of this hall as soon as possible.

And just as | thought, Alpha Kain raised his hand pouring powder into his arms intending to hit me as he shouted, “Do you think | would believe a puny little Alpha like you!!!”

“ALPHA! As soon as Allan and the rest saw this, they all shouted in panic.

| gritted my teeth to prepare to resist the impact of his hands with Aurora’s power while | mindlinked my companions to focus and get ready to get out.

“Wait, Lord Kain!”

Just as | was ready to summon Aurora’s power, a cold icy voice rang in the hall causing Alpha Kain to pause his actions with his hands only a few inches away from me.

“What is it, Alpha Sabre?” Alpha Kain looked at the owner of the voice but his hands did not intend to leave me unscathed.

“Pardon my rudeness from interrupting you, my Lord. But | can

As soon as | saw this my eyes widened in surprise and disbelief. This poison was never even used in the Blood Moon Pack, so there is no way that the poison would make its way outside! Other than Teacher Astor, Arthur and Blake, there is no fifth person who knew about the poison.

Hiding my shock and disbelief on my face, | looked at the man behind the silver mask and a name came to my mind like a wave of gentle air...

Blake!
