Chapter 2266

Chapter 2266

Sylvia felt her face flush with warmth and quickly diverted her gaze, pretending to be engrossed in her book. Her heart pounded, unsure if it was because she had been spying on him or because she had entered his room without his permission. As she stared at the book, she listened to the man slowly making his way from the inner room.

Gabriel walked up to her, his strong arms bracing against the back of the carved oak chair, his figure silhouetted against the light. Leaning down, he asked, "What part are you at?" His eyes were dark, seeming to draw one into their depths, his broad shoulders catching the morning light, radiating an irresistible allure.

Sylvia found herself defenseless against him. She looked up at him, her eyes soft and teasing, gently biting her lip. Finally, Gabriel leaned down, capturing her lips in a kiss that ignited like a sparkler, quickly heating up and bursting into a dazzling display. Sylvia closed her eyes, wrapping her arms around his neck, lost in the kiss.

Gabriel lifted her in his arms, spun around, and switched positions, seating her on his lap, his hand cradling the back of her head, kissing her passionately. It felt like a tightly wound string finally finding its musician, both seemingly having waited for this moment for a long time.

With a slight movement of her hips and half-closed eyes, Sylvia looked at him with a playful smile. Gabriel's gaze was deep and intense, his arm around her tensing, "Missed me?"

"Every night," Sylvia murmured softly, kissing down from his chin.

After a while, Gabriel playfully smacked her bottom, his tone carrying an affection he might not have noticed himself, "Go on, get a shower, then breakfast."

Sylvia looked up at him, confused. Seeing her look, Gabriel said, "You had your reservations, let's wait a bit longer." She hadn't come to him last night, and he knew it was because she was cautious about being in his house, and of course, he wouldn't press her.

Sylvia's heart softened, her eyes slightly teary, and she nodded lightly, "Then I'll head back first."

"Alright!"

Sylvia straightened her clothes and walked out the door. Once hit by the cold breeze outside, Sylvia sobered up a bit, but the warmth in her heart flowed even more freely. Was she the only one to notice that he had started to care for her feelings, even trying to please her a bit? And because it was his house, with his family around, he didn't want her to humble herself.

Sylvia's heart raced even faster than before. Biting her lip tightly, she calmed herself for a while before grabbing her clothes to take a shower.

Gabriel sat back down, also trying to

calm himself, flipping through the book Sylvia had left behind. Ten minutes later, he frowned in

l

annoyance, tossed the book aside, and went back to take another shower!

The visitors kept coming in the morning, and Gabriel couldn't get away, so he asked Estelle to take Sylvia forza walk around the neighborhood. It seemed that with Gabriel's return, many guests brought their daughters, claiming they were visiting Old Mr. Jarvis, but their true intentions were clear to all.

As Estelle and Sylvia were leaving, Estelle suddenly received a video call from Old Mr. Quintin. She answered the call, and Sylvia, not wanting to disturb her, went to look at the plum blossoms by the gate.

"Are you Ms. Jarvis?" A polite, smiling voice came from behind her. Sylvia turned around to see a girl in a blue coat standing behind her, looking at her with a gentle smile.Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.
