Chapter 2304

Long after they stopped, Gabriel held her tightly in his arms.

"Keep this New Year's gift for me, I'll want it anytime!" His voice was deep and hoarse.

Sylvia clutched his shirt tightly, "I really don't care anymore!"

It was against etiquette and might be looked down upon, but she didn't care about any of that now.All content is © N0velDrama.Org.

"So eager?" he chuckled, his voice rough.

Sylvia frowned, flipped open his coat, and bit him.

Gabriel only slightly furrowed his brow, looking down at her frustrated expression, "Little wildcat!"

Sylvia didn't bite too hard and quickly got up, smoothing his shirt with her hand, her forehead resting against it.

Gabriel wrapped his arms around her, and in that moment, as they hugged quietly, listening to the distant sounds of fireworks and the New Year's bells tolling, it felt as though they had become one.

...

The next morning, after Sylvia had freshened up and was about to leave, she saw the New Year's gift from Old Mr. Jarvis on the table. She walked over and opened the box.

Inside was a tourmaline bracelet, with emerald spacers between the raw stone beads. The colors were soft, and the quality was delicate, clearly a priceless treasure.

As she held it, Gabriel walked in, surprised to see the tourmaline in her hands, "Is this what Grandpa gave you last night?"

"Yeah!" Sylvia, noticing something off in Gabriel's expression, asked, "Is there something special about it?"

Gabriel looked at her meaningfully, "It was one of Grandma's dowry pieces."

Sylvia gasped, realizing its value, "Grandma's dowry? Why did Grandpa give it to me?"

Gabriel looked at her, "What do you think?"

Sylvia stared into his eyes, unwavering, "Then you tell me, should I accept it?"

Gabriel took the tourmaline and placed it on her wrist. The bright color of the stone against her porcelain skin was a perfect match, as if it was meant for Sylvia.

"Keep it," Gabriel said.

Sylvia looked down at her wrist and joked, "A tourmaline bracelet, plus the emerald you gave me, I've become invaluable on the first day of the New Year!"

"You've always been invaluable," Gabriel said.

Sylvia looked at him in astonishment.

The words slipped out of Gabriel before he even thought about them, and only now did he feel it might have been, inappropriate. With a calm face, he took Sylvia's hand and walked out, "We should have breakfast early on New Year's Day, Grandpa is already waiting for us, let's go."

Sylvia followed him out, looking at her wrist and the dazzling tourmaline, her lips curling up uncontrollably.

On the first day of the New Year, the sun was bright, the sky clear, and all good things seemed destined to come!

For the first time on New Year's, Sylvia made a wish, hoping her dreams would come true!

In the front yard, Estelle and Jonathan were also up early. Jonathan was busy on the phone in the corridor, while Estelle was peeling pine nuts to feed Coco.

Old Mr. Jarvis passed by, tapping Estelle's arm, "Come with me."

Estelle followed Old Mr. Jarvis into the small study next to the living room.

"Have you called Jonathan's parents?" Old Mr. Jarvis asked.

Estelle smiled, "I did yesterday."

"Call them today too, today is the day for New Year's greetings, call now!" Old Mr. Jarvis instructed with a smile, "You're going to be their daughter-in-law. Although the Lamont family spoils you and

doesn't restrain you on a daily basis, you still need to follow some basic etiquette."

Obediently, Estelle took her phone and called Catherine Lamont.

As she dialed, Old Mr. Jarvis spoke with a gentle yet commanding tone, "No more calling her 'Mrs.', call her 'Mom'."

Estelle paused, looking at Old Mr. Jarvis.

He nodded at her, his voice firm, "It's time to change how you addressz her, it's not that hard! Think about it, you've practically snatched their son to your side, what's stopping you? Be a good girl!"

Right after Old Mr. Jarvis finished speaking, Estelle's call connected, and Catherine's warm and kind voice came through, "Estelle, happy New Year!" Catching Old Mr. Jarvis's stern gaze from the corner of her eye, Estelle hesitated for a moment, then awkwardly began, "Mom, Mom, happy New Year to you and Dad!"

There was a brief pause on the other end before Catherine responded, her voice tinged with excitement, "Ah, hearing you call me 'Mom' has made my year!"
