Chapter 27 The First interview
“Huh?” She looked straight at him. “No, I can go.”
“How are you going to be there in your current state?”
She pursed her lips and said firmly, “I can go.”
Even if she had to crawl, she would crawl over.
This was a rare opportunity. If she missed it this time, she didn’t know when she would be able to wait until the next
time. Although it would be a sure thing if Huston help him, she understood that the man in front of her wouldn’t help her cheat without principles.
So she couldn’t miss it.
Huston had not expected that the last moment she was about to cry from the pain, but the next second, she would bleed profusely for work. He just thought he had to postpone the interview, but now it seemed that there was no need.
It would be best if she could hold on.
He hid the admiration in his eyes and stood up. His voice was still calm as he said, “If you can go, don’t be late.”
It turned out that Evelyn was a tough girl. At 10 o’clock in the morning, she limped to the entrance of the HM Law Office. With
She found conference room B-201. There were seven or eight little girls sitting in a row at the door. They all looked young. about 25 or 26, and slightly older than 28 or 29 years old.
She looked down at her clothes. It was the black and white dress that Huston had picked out for her yesterday. She had put on light makeup today and had tied up her hair, which made her look much nealer.
“Hey, I heard that the president of IIM Law Office, Huston, is super handsome and classy. Is he going to interview us in person today?” Not far away, a little girl was chatting warmly with an acquaintance. Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.
“No way, he’s so busy that he probably doesn’t have time. But if it’s really him, it’s worth it if I failed in the interview!”
Hearing this, Evelyn’s brows twitched and she couldn’t help but glance at the two of them. She couldn’t help but mutter in her heart, “Is Huston really that good-looking? What a bunch of naive little girls. They can’t see through his true face.”
The interview soon began. The interviewers were the three HR employees of the HM. Everyone was sitting together in a group.
In the end, only Evelyn and another man and woman were left.
“There will be a second round of interviews later. Get ready for the individual interview.” After saying that, the Human Resources Manager entered another independent conference
room.
She sat outside and nervously prayed that she would not be the first one, but what she was afraid of came true. She was really
“Evelyn, come in.”
“…” She took a deep breath, pushed the door open, and walked into the room. She sat down on the chair in the middle of the room gracefully and looked up at the three interviewers in front of her. “Hello, everyone. My name is Evelyn. I’m…”
At this point, she suddenly froze, and her pupils trembled slightly. She looked at the man in the black suit and white shirt sitting in the middle in surprise. It turned out that Huston was really the head official.
“Miss Shelton?” Seeing her stunned, the Human Resources Manager reminded her.
She came back to her senses and wanted to adjust her mentality, but when she met Huston’s gaze, she couldn’t help but feel nervous, causing her to stutter as she introduced herself.
“I see that you haven’t been working since graduating from Toronto University more than a year ago. Why?”
Hearing this, she felt a little ashamed. She was busy getting married, so she was delayed.
“Seeing that you’re divorced now, I want to know if it’s because of the divorce that you want to continue working on the law?”
The HR manager spoke very quickly, and she was so nervous that no one could tell what she really wanted to know. She
nodded and said, “That’s right.”
