First Love

ADRAIN’S POV

“Pack the chocolates and white lilly.” I told the shopkeeper and handed him the money.

Wrapping everything together he gave me the items with a soft smile. “You’re going to see your sister?” He asked.

I nodded my head without glancing towards him.

“Just like always lilly are her favourites.” He tried to build up a conversation which I was planning to ignore from so long.

Exhaling a breath, I looked at him. The old man has now wrinkled smile.  I’ve know him since past 15 years and his attitude towards me didn’t changed a bit. He still cares for me like before.

“Come inside.” He smiled.

I couldn’t help but accept his offer. As I entered inside, I saw a familiar room which was now redecorated. His daughter must’ve changed everything after she returned from abroad.

“How is she?” He asked.

I looked down at my palms and whispered. “Who?” I lied.

“You know who I am talking about.” He raised his eyebrows.

I licked my lips and shrugged my shoulders. I don’t want to talk about it.

“Tell me.” he demanded.

What am I supposed to tell him? How should I tell him that I’ve been hurting her since the day I forced her to stay with me?

“I hate her!” I told him, flatly.

He clicked his tongue and stood up to brought two cups of tea for us. He handed me one and sipped the other one. “Adrain, I know you’ve been waiting for this day since a long time. And I understand that you despise her- Wait. What’s her name?”

Slut! Her name is slut. I thought to myself.

“Lily.”

“Ah, such a beautiful name she got. Just like your little sister likes white lillies.” He smiled.

I cleaned my fist and decided to rush out of here but his eyes stopped me from doing so. I know what he was about to say. I fucking know.

“Listen to me carefully. I am not saying that you should forget about your vengeance but taking that on an innocent girl? What’s her fault, my son?”

“Her fault is that she’s their sister. And she has to pay for their sins.” I hissed in anger.

He patted my shoulder to calm me down and smiled brightly. I don’t know why but his smile soothes me since forever.

“Inhale.”

“Now for a second think about her.”

I nodded again and closing my eyes I thought about her.

Lily.

The strangest girl I’ve ever met. I don’t despise her but she’s the key to everything. Nowadays I feel strange near her, like I am getting attracted to her. She’s beautiful. Her eyes, they’re so pure that sometimes I regret being harsh on her.

She’s sweet and off course courageous.

I wonder if we met under normal circumstances where she wouldn’t be the sister of men who took everything from me, will then ever she be mine? Like my girlfriend?

I shook my head at my stupid thoughts and remembered how I pushed her on the glass pieces. Honestly, it felt good to do so, to see her crying. It felt good! And when I burnt her with hot milk, what a satisfying feeling it was. And when she cried due to spiders roaming all over her body, I felt peace. I enjoyed her being helpless. After all that’s what her brothers felt when they…

I stopped myself from going there.

I know I am crazy, my mental state is not stable but I couldn’t explain the amount of peace I get when I hurt Lily. I just want to torture her forever since her last dying breath.

But I also want to keep her safe from all the chaos. When those men touched her in the party, I lost my mind. Nobody else can hurt her except me. She’s mine since the first day I saw her. And she’ll be mine, forever. I’ll not let her go. I’ll torture her everyday but at the end of the day I’ll smile knowing that she’s mine.

I wish we met under normal circumstances. Then I would’ve been kind to her. And she would’ve loved happily with no hatred towards me but fuck my destiny, she has to be their sister.

“She’s innocent, Adrain.”

“She is their sister.” I shrugged my shoulders.

“But-”

I cut him in middle and stood up to go away from here.

“Say my hello to your sister.” He frowned.

I gave him a curt nod and get out from his room. I was feeling suffocated in there, like someone has grabbed me by my neck and I am struggling to breathe. That old man knows everything. He knows that whatever I am doing is wrong but how can I explain to him the amount of satisfaction I get when I torture Lily? It’s just unexplainable.

Driving the car, I reached Rehab and exhaled a breath. It’s been a month since I last met her, I hope she’s getting better.

I entered the Rehab after check in my ID and went through the lift to reach seventh floor. As I saw room number 306, my heart clenched in pain. Long gone was Lily and my vengeance because at this moment all I care about is my little sister.

I knocked on the door and waited impatiently for her to open it. After few minutes, she did open.

“Adrain.”

“Sarah.”
