Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

CHAPTER 353

Chapter 353

“Want one?” Flora pulled two oranges from her pocket and handed them to Cynthia.

Cynthia swallowed hard, her hands trembling as she took them. “Flora, if you don’t start trying harder, you’re not even going to pass,” she blurted out, unable to hold back any longer. Flora looked so calm and composed, it was frustrating.

Cynthia herself wasn’t doing great either, running in such a poor state that she was worried she wouldn’t make the cut. Flora raised her hands, interlocking her fingers, palms facing up, and stretched. She squinted against the sunlight, watching the crowd ahead of her.

“Alright, you stay safe. I’m off,” Flora said before she disappeared in a flash.

Cynthia was so stunned that the oranges slipped from her hands, hitting the ground with a soft thud. Flora had been running so poorly that the drone had switched to filming Jillian instead, missing the whole impressive scene.

“It looks like that girl’s stamina isn’t great,” Connor Smith, the military base consul, said with a hint of disappointment. They had high hopes for Flora, expecting her to amaze them again. But not everyone could excel at everything. With her slender arms and legs, long–distance running wasn’t her forte.

Still, Flora’s shooting skills alone were enough to get her into the national military base. She could be trained as a specialist. Jillian, on the other hand, seemed to be a jack–of–all–trades and deserved careful nurturing.

Connor couldn’t help but smile at the thought of Flora’s carefree attitude. The girl was just messing around. “Remember to negotiate with the University of Maple Grove about Jillian, our key candidate for versatile training…” Connor trailed off, something on the large screen catching his eye.

Flora, like the wind, was passing one person after another so quickly that even the drone struggled to capture her, leaving only trails of her movement. The camera zoomed in on- her. Her face was flushed, lips curled into a smile, occasionally pulling an orange from her pocket to eat. She was as casual as could be, yet her speed was unreal!

Ahead, Jillian was sprinting too. She couldn’t match Flora’s speed but was still far ahead of most of the newcomers. After running two kilometers, even the boys were exhausted, jogging slowly while holding their waists. Content rights belong to NôvelDrama.Org.

The next second, a figure sped past them. It was Jillian.

“Is that girl a warrior?” The boys were stunned. They had already run two kilometers, yet her speed was still so fast. Was she even human? Just as they finished complaining, a gust of wind blew by.

The girl’s speed was even faster than Jillian’s, quickly darting away into the distance until

she became a black dot. The boys‘ legs went weak, and they knelt on the ground.

“Big boss…”

With only eight hundred meters

left to the finish line, Jillian’s speed started to drop. Her throat was sore and dry, her waist ached terribly, and her legs were trembling from weakness. If she stopped, she might collapse

She had trained in long–distance running since she was a child, so three kilometers wasn’t usually a big deal. This time felt tough because of Flora. Trying to outpace Flora and capture everyone’s attention, she had messed up her rhythm from the start, leading to a lack of energy later.

But she had overestimated Flora. Flora’s long–distance running was very average, and Jillian had left her far behind. Jillian thought smugly to herself, “There’s no way Flora can be good at everything. When it comes to physical strength, she can’t compare to me!” Just as she was feeling pleased, a voice sounded right beside her ear.
