Chapter 39 What A Pity

Julian was smiling without saying anything, but his hands clenched hard by his side. Cohen's hypnosis

indeed worked. Julian could tell that Sadie was behaving so much better, even though he knew that

she was just pretending.

But he liked it.

When they walked to the deepest part of the garden, Julian let go of her hand and took her into his

arms suddenly. Her back was leaning against his chest. "Khalid just brought it just now. Do you like it?"

Sadie raised her eyes and saw a pair of white swans swimming happily in the pool. She twitched her

lips and suddenly wanted to throw him in the pool as well.

White swans were protected animals. She couldn’t believe that he would buy two and raise them at

"Do you want to eat them?" Julian knew she was nervous, but still deliberately teased her. "I haven't

tried it. Do you want to taste it?"

Hearing that, Sadie felt that she could even imagine the picture when police came over to take them to

the jail. She shook her head resolutely, "No."

"What a pity." Julian held Sadie in his arms with a big smile.

Sadie’s lips twitched more obviously. And she was wondering why those two stupid swans didn't fly

away from the swimming pool yet.

After standing for a while, the setting sun fell on the other side of the mountain. And the light in the

garden dimmed.

Julian tilted his head and looked in the direction of the villa. Seeing Amina was walking towards them,

he pursed his lower lip and walked back hugging Sadie’s shoulder.

Dinner was simple but appetizing.

Sadie got so much better from the cold. She couldn’t help eat more without realizing it. When she

reached out to get the third bow of rice, she noticed that Julian was watching her, so she only took half-

bow of rice.

After eating, Julian's cell phone rang. Sadie didn’t want him to feel uncomfortable, so she got up and

went to the living room. Then she heard him saying “Ok, Got it.” Then she saw him hanging up the

phone, pursing his lower lip, and starting to search for something online.

After a while, Julian got up, held her hand, and walked out quickly.

"Where are we going?" Sadie's hand got hurt a bit. She asked unhappily.

Julian didn’t answer but waiting for the driver to drive over. Then Julian opened the car door and helped

her in like a gentleman.

Sadie didn't know what had happened, and she was too lazy to ask. She held her mobile phone and

immersed herself in playing games. After leaving ZSB Garden, the car drove all the way down the

mountain.

It was very quiet in the car. Julian looked a little unhappy. His expression was so cold that even made

her feel scared.

Sadie glanced at him from time to time, without asking anything. Then she turned off the media.

Entering the center of the city, the car stopped in front of the best hotel in the city center.

"Presidential suite on the 60th floor. Go up by yourself." Julian handed her a room card, then opened

the door and entered the lobby gracefully.

Sadie squeezed the room card and pushed the car door slowly. With so many rooms in ZSB Garden,

why did they come to sleep in a hotel?

Even though she was curious, she didn’t dare to ask Julian.

Entering the lobby, she looked around, but she did not find Julian. She had no choice but to go up by

herself. The elevator stopped on the 60th floor. And the elevator took her directly to the living room of

the presidential suite.

Sadie squeezed the room card. She walked to the window and looked down whiling thinking about

Julian.

How strange it was! It was the first time she came to KY Hotel, but she felt familiar inexplicably. Julian

also gave her the same familiar feeling, as if they were lovers a long time ago.

After a while, the room attendant brought up fruits and snacks. Sadie stood by the window with her

body hiding behind the curtain. It might be that the room attendant didn’t see her, the room attendant

put fruit snacks on the coffee table while answering the phone.

Soon, after the room attendant left, Sadie returned to the living room, bent over, picked up a cherry,

and threw it into her mouth. She frowned thinking about what the room attendant said.

The room attendant said on the phone that Cayden, chairman of HUY International Board of Directors

suddenly showed up and left after checking in to the hotel, which made all the hotel executives freak

out.

Was Cayden the grandfather or father of Julian’s?

How came that HUY International Board of Directors and DHG Group were two different companies?

Thinking about Julian’s weird behavior just now, Sadie suddenly realized something. She grabbed

another cherry, threw it in her mouth, and ran out quickly with her room card.

The elevator stopped on the 50th floor. Three tall men came in, one of whom looked very familiar.

Sadie moved to the corner of the elevator, trying to hide as much as possible.

"I heard that Cayden left to ZSB Garden." The man standing to her left suddenly spoke, "Mr. Read,

shall we continue to follow?"

"No, Cayden seems to come here for a private matter. However, even if HUY International Board of

Directors wants to help Julian, he still won’t survive this time." The man known as Mr. Read made a

sneer of disdain.

"Should we continue to follow Julian? I heard that he barely goes for parties recently because of a girl

who lives in ZSB Garden now." The man said again.

Mr. Read glanced at the man with his head tilted and said nothing.

Sadie bowed her head all the way, not daring to show her face up. Fortunately, those people went

down to the fortieth floor, and she was the only one left in the elevator.

She stopped on the first floor and stood in the elevator hall for a while. Then she swiped her card again

to enter the elevator and went back to the room obediently.

Cohen told her before that if she wanted Julian to believe that her memory was washed away, just

telling him so or acting in a certain way wouldn’t be enough. She also needed to make him feel that she

started to trust and rely on him.

Sadie went back and took a comfortable bath. When she walked out, Julian suddenly appeared with a

big smile. He waved his hand at her, "come."

Sadie wrapped her nightgown tightly and stepped forward hesitantly, "Where did you go?"

"I went to visit an elder." Julian raised his hand to squeeze her cheek lightly and pulled her to sit beside

him. "Were you afraid?"

Sadie felt that she got goosebumps suddenly hearing him saying so, but she raised her head and

looked at his eyes innocently, "I just met a gentleman named Mr. Read downstairs and heard him

mention your name. Are you two friends?"

Mr. Read? Julian smiled and calmly denied, "I only met him a few times for business. What did he say

when he mentioned me?"

"He said..." Sadie stopped for a few seconds as if she was thinking what he said, then she continued,

"He said that Cayden seems to come here for a private matter. However, even if HUY International

Board of Directors wants to help Julian, he still won’t survive this time."

When she was talking, her eyes blinked like stars, so bright that made Julian couldn’t look away.

Julian slowly lowered his head and gently kissed the corner of her lips. "I'll take a shower."

Sadie felt that she almost threw up when he kissed her. But she didn’t show out her feeling, instead,

she nodded obediently.

She quite hoped that Mr. Read would defeat Julian, but she felt that it was not good.

She hadn't found anything yet, and he refused to explain anything, so she couldn’t just give up. She

had given up on Otto, the man who always helped her gave her love. She could no longer be foolish

anymore.

Julian finished his shower quickly. Once he came out, he got busy with work.

Sadie leaned on the sofa to watch TV. She was so tired and sleepy. Quickly she fell asleep, not

knowing that she fell into his arms when she fell.

Julian stared at her tightly for a moment, put down the computer, and hugged her back to the room.

Julian couldn’t help thinking that Sadie was the same when she was a kid, every time she would fall

asleep after a while stayed with him.

Putting her on the bed, Julian turned back to the living room and picked up the phone to call Khalid.

"Cayden seems to be aware of something. You arrange it and don’t let him find out Sadie is by my

side."
