Found Again

“OMG! I can’t believe you’re here! I miss you, Alli!” Alexa greeted me excitedly while hugging me tightly.

I smiled and hug her too. “I miss you too, Alexa!”

Alexa was busy at the time when I decided to go back to the Philippines. We didn’t have a chance to talk and said our goodbyes.

“Hi, Alli! Welcome back!”

It was Thomas. My forehead creased when I notice his hand on Alexa’s hip. They look so close and intimate.

“Hi, Thomas. Thank you but I am not back for good. I will return to my country after I’m done with all my pending works here.” I said.

I turn to Noah to see his reaction. He looks so cold. It was the first time I saw him like this. He always looks sweet and friendly especially if it’s Alexa who is in front of him.

I’m sure something happened while I’m gone. I already notice that something is off with Noah. And I am sure that it involves Alexa.

Noah stood up and went to someone else’s table. He approaches the girls and introduces himself.

The girls look confused by Noah’s sudden introduction but they welcome him to their table. I could see the admiration in all the girl’s faces. The three girls giggle to Noah’s lines.

I rolled my eyes. This is not Noah! What the hell is happening?

I turned to Alexa’s side. She was looking at Noah and she was feeling sorry for him.

“Did something happen while I’m gone?” I can’t help but ask.

I could see the hesitation on Alexa’s face.

“Alexa and I happened,” Thomas answered me instead.

“What do you mean?” I asked for confirmation though I already have an idea what he means.

” Exactly with what you are thinking right now. Alexa and I are officially together.” Thomas said in a calm voice.

My jaw dropped. I couldn’t say a word. I never expect them to be together. As far as I know, Thomas doesn’t like Alexa romantically. It was Noah who likes her.

“How come?”

Thomas chuckled. “I just realize how wonderful of a person Alexa is and I want her to be mine. I asked her and she said yes.”

I look at Alexa. “What about Noah?” I asked.

“Noah and I are just friends,” Alexa said quietly.

“I know. But you know that Noah likes you!” I said a bit frustrated.

“But you guys know that I only see him as a friend and the one I really like is Thomas.” She replied.

I was about to say something when I felt Noah’s hand on mine.

“Stop asking them. Let’s go.” He said in a cold voice.

His grips in my hand are getting tighter. Andrew went to us and remove Noah’s hand from mine.

“I didn’t permit you to touch my girl.”

“Andrew…” I said trying to stop him from clashing with Noah.

It was not the time for him to argue with Noah.

“Wait! What? Girlfriend?” Alexa butted in.

I sighed while glaring at Andrew.

“Alexa and Thomas meet my boyfriend, Andrew.” I had no choice but to introduce Andrew as my boyfriend to them.

They both looked shocked. I bet that I also looked like them a while ago.

“Wait! Is he the guy from your latest cover? The lead vocalist of Allison band?” Alexa asked.

I don’t have a choice but to tell her the truth.

“Yes, he’s the guy from Stellar’s latest cover. I hope you could keep our relationship a secret.” I told her.

“What? Why?” Alexa asked.

“You know how complicated the entertainment industry is. We just want to have a more peaceful relationship.” I said to them and I’m sure they will understand.

“Sure. But I can’t believe this. You just went back to the Philippines and now you have a boyfriend? Wow!” Alexa said.

“We are already together for almost three years,” Andrew said.

“What?! But Alli stays here for two years. So you mean you guys are already together at that time?” Alexa asked still in shock.

I wanted to punch Andrew because this is not the time to tell them about our relationship. My main concern right now is Noah.

“It’s a long story. I’ll tell you about it the next time we meet. We have to go. I’m sorry.” I said to end the conversation because I want to speak to Noah and hear the whole story from him.

“Oh, sure! Let’s catch up soon.” Alexa said.

I grab both Andrew and Noah’s hands and leave the place.

Noah was silent the whole drive. We are now in my apartment.

Andrew was also quiet the whole time. I think he knows that this is a serious situation. He was just waiting for anyone to talk.

“Noah, what happened? Why are they together?”

Noah looks at me teary-eyed. My heart hurts from seeing him like this.

I went to him and hugged him. He hugged me back and his shoulder started to shake. Noah is crying!

I can feel the pain in his sobbing. My tears started to fall. I witness how great Noah’s love for Alexa was.

He does everything for her even if it hurts him.

He breaks our hug and looks at me. I touch his face and wipe the never-ending tears on his cheek.

“I know that it was a one-sided love. I know how much she loves Thomas but I was hoping that I will make her fall for me. But everything I’ve done for her is still not enough. She still chose him over me.” Noah’s voice broke as he was saying it.

“What does Thomas have that I don’t?!” He shouted with frustration.

“Is he more good-looking than I am? Am I not worthy to love?”

I shake my head. “No, Noah, please stop saying that.”

“Then why?!” He shouted.

He stood up and keep on shouting his frustration and heartache.

“I don’t understand why she fell for him! I’m more good-looking than my cousin! I’m more successful in my career and my business! Thomas is always below me in everything but Alexa.”

“I could trade all the success I have right now just to have Alexa. Just to win her heart!”

“I did and gave her everything but why can’t she love me?!”

“Why can’t she see me?!”

I look at Andrew asking for help. He looks at me and mouthed “go and comfort him”

I went to Noah and hug him.

“You are a great guy Noah. Any girl will be blessed to have you. You got everything that a girl could wish for in a guy.” I said trying to comfort him.

“Then why did Alexa fail to see it?” Noah asked while he was hugging me.

I release him from my hug and look at him intently.

“I can’t answer that because I am not her. But the best thing you could do is to forget her. You did everything you could to win her heart. You did not lack anything. It was her who fail to see your heart. Maybe she is not the one for you. You need to move on now. I can’t bear to see you hurting. I want you to find your happiness. I love you, my friend.”
