Harvey York's Rise to Power

Chapter 52

Meanwhile, Harvey was queuing up for the milk tea. His cell phone rang. Yvonne’s voice came from the opposite end. “CEO, someone has uploaded the video of Zack being driven out on the internet. The netizens were already questioning us, saying that we were too cruel. Do you think we need to hold a press conference to explain it?”

Harvey thought for a while and said, “Are there any footage of the meeting room that day? Just cover up the female colleague’s face that was at the front desk and find someone to post it online.

“Yes!” Yvonne’s eyes lit up when she heard that. ‘CEO is indeed the CEO. He’s able to solve such a big matter with just two sentences. Why didn’t I think of that?’

Harvey had already hung up the phone without waiting for Yvonne’s compliment. He got his milk tea and was ready to go home.

He suddenly heard a squeal of brakes behind him as soon as he walked to the side of the road. An Audi A4 suddenly stopped behind Harvey and vaguely heard a yell from the car.

The next moment, a woman with thick make-up, whose perfume could be smelled from ten meters away, slammed the car door open and came down from the car. She pointed at Harvey and cursed. “Does this road belong to you? Are you blind?! Or are you trying to fake an accident and scam me? I’m telling you, if you want to scam me, you better get out of here now, I won’t give you a single cent!”

Harvey frowned. He was eager to go home now and wanted to ignore this woman. He then turned and was about to leave.

“Oh, isn’t this our classmate—Harvey who’s a wine hustler? Did you quit that job and try to scam people with fake accidents now?”

At this moment, a discordant voice sounded from the passenger seat. A man in a white shirt opened the door and got out of the car. He looked at Harvey ironically.

Harvey frowned and looked over. He then saw his class monitor in university—Howard was standing there with his arms folded at the moment. He was looking at him with disgust.

The woman with thick make-up snuggled up against him and said with a smile. “Brother Howard, do you know this guy? Is he your classmate?”

Howard jokingly said, “How can I not know him? This is my old classmate. I just met him recently. By the way, my friend, are you also doing part-time delivering food?”

Howard laughed loudly after speaking. Harvey was now wearing a set of clothes that he bought from the roadside stall, and the two cups of milk tea in his hands were nicely packaged, which made him look like a delivery boy.

The woman with thick makeup said delicately, “So, he’s a delivery boy. I thought he’s a hustler. What a fright! Brother Howard, why do you have such a classmate? He’s a disgrace. You better stay away from this trash in the future!” Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.

Howard smiled and said, “He’s not just trash. He has become a live-in son-in-law after graduating from the university. I heard that he washes the clothes and the toilet every day. At this point, I could only say that he’s extremely useless as a man.”
