Chapter 17 Canceled Engagement

“Greyson…” Rowan who put on airs for few days couldn’t hold herself back coming to the hospital, “My

friends and families are asking me that when will we rehost our engagement banquet since it has been

postponed for almost one week.”

She poured a cup of hot tea for Greyson, smiled warmly like a gentlewoman.

Greyson, on the other hand, stared at the still-sleeping woman on the hospital bed and answered her

indifferently.

“Cancel it.”

Rowan was stunned, “What do you say? Canceling our engagement?”

Greyson didn’t even have a glance on Rowan, still, with his cold and indifferent look, “Yes, I won’t marry

you.”

Rowan almost knocked over the hot water in her hand as her fingers shook.

This was Greyson’s answer which was relentless.

With her face full with anger, she then went out of the hospital. It was then when she encountered

Finnley Morgan right at the entrance who came to inquire about the situation.

“Rowan…” Finnley showed his kind face, “What’s wrong? Why you are so angry…”

Rowan restrained her anger and said, “Go and ask Greyson! Mrs Morgan, there is a possibility that it is

going to cancel the marriage between our two families. If we really want to cancel it, please let me

announce it so that people won’t think that it is due to my character and so I am withdrawn from the

marriage.”

It was clear that the message conveyed was that Greyson wanted to withdraw from the marriage.

“Don’t get excited.” Finnley hurriedly soothed, “I’m going to find Greyson. Don’t worry, I will only

recognize you as my daughter-in-law, the rest of them are not qualified to marry into my Morgan

family!”

Without answering, Rowan then carried her handbag and left in strides.

said, “Do you do the poisoning to Hattie?”

Finnley’s expression stiffened for a moment and then immediately returned to normal.

“How could I possibly do something that is underhanded! I don’t even know what kind of poison she

got!” He snorted coldly again, “I think that is all her tricks! She is greedy and wants to swindle money

from our Morgan family again!”

Greyson didn’t look at Finnley but spoke in a deep voice, “I will find out how the poison in Hattie’s body

come from. If I find out that it is really you, even if you are my father, I will not let you off easily!”

He used those respectful words but the threatening meaning in his words clearly didn’t abate in the

slightest.

On the contrary, it made Finnley become more panicked.

The current Greyson was no longer the young boy he had been when he was a teenager who could

have a control on him.

Greyson narrowed his eyes, looking at Hattie who was unconscious, and his eyes, turning even more
