Chapter 495
Chapter 495
Nocturne woke up and rubbed his eyes, misty and watery
But quickly, his gaze started to sharpen.
His eyes were incredibly beautiful, it’s hard to imagine a kid with such clear and bright eyes.
As Jared walked in, he saw the little boy dialing a number on his phone.
He wore a digital watch on his wrist.
He casually pressed a few buttons, then dialed a number
“Mom, I’m okay. I probably slept for 18 hours, just woke up. A gentleman here helped me. Sean’s at
our usual spot, tell grandpa not to worry. Two hours from now, come pick me up at Epochal Square.”
His voice was clear and steady, perfectly logical.
As Jared stepped in, the little boy just hung up.
He looked up at Jared, his voice crisp, “Sir, Is there anything to eat? I slept for quite a while, I’m
hungry.”
Seems he knew his body well, he just said he’d slept for hours.
Jared thought this kid was anything but ordinary.
The way he talked, totally not like a little kid, more like an adult.
Jared said, “I came to get you for dinner.”
Nocturne was very polite, “Thank you, sir.”
Jared took him to the dining room for a meal.
He ate with good manners, looking pretty refined.
Having slept for 18 hours, he should be starving.
But he didn’t wolf down his food.
He chewed each bite slowly, never in a rush, showed he was well brought up.
Jared started to wonder about this kid’s parents. NôvelDrama.Org owns © this.
Jared asked, “What’s your name?”
“I’m Summer. Thanks for saving me yesterday, but could you take me home now? My mom’s pretty
worried about me.”
Jared nodded, “Rest assured. Once you’re done eating, I’ll take you home.”
“You can just drop me off at Epochal Square, my mom will pick me up there.”
“Sure.”
Jared felt like talking to this kid was like talking to an adult.
Jared asked, “Why did you choose me yesterday? What if I was a bad guy, too?”
Nocturne calmly said, “Most people in the Imperial Hotel are foreigners, but you look like you’re from
my country. So I asked for your help, you’d be more likely to sympathize with me. Also, your watch is a
limited edition Henry Graves, it’s quite expensive. Your clothes are all high–end tailor–made, your
shoes are custom–made by the famous Italian craftsman, low–key but worth a fortune…”
At that time, Leo was also there.
Hearing a child saying this, Leo was simply stunned.
Leo couldn’t help but say, “Never thought you, at such a young age, could be so picky, only caring
about luxury items…”
The little boy wasn’t angry at all when he heard this, calmly explaining, “This isn’t me being picky. I just
believe that someone who cares so much about his appearance wouldn’t mean harm.”
He glanced at Jared and added, “And the high–class aura you exude, if someone like you were a bad
guy, then there wouldn’t be any good guys in this world.” You gotta admire his words.
However, this kid was so straightforward, didn’t sound like he was buttering up, his calm childlike voice
was particularly soothing.
