Heartstrings on Fire (Agnes and Jared)

Chapter 577

Chapter 577

Agnes was totally confused.

She didn’t get why Beatrice would pull such a stunt. But then again, it wasn’t hard to figure out.

Beatrice knew Jared was about to engage to Valeria, and it must’ve driven her crazy.

Her only goal now was to throw a wrench into the engagement between Valeria and Jared.

That’s why she was so hell–bent on airing the past between Agnes and Jared,

This way, she could hide her real intentions, while throwing the Thomas family into chaos.

As for the final outcome, it was anyone’s guess.

Before Agnes could say a word, Ryder jumped in, “Yeah, Agnes–and my uncle were hitched once, but

they’ve been split for four years. It’s all in the past.” Everyone was gobsmacked. The news was too

shocking.

Sure, the Thomas family and the Whitfield family had some connections in the past, but they were

worlds apart.

Those well–known tales in Willowbrook Town were only known to a few involved here.

Plus, all that was four years ago.

They had heard about Jared’s old marriage, but who would’ve thought that his ex–wife is now dating

the third son of the Thomas family?

Raleign and Kevin looked shocked on the outside, but inside, they were just here for the popcorn.

Cilian must’ve been fuming.

His favorite, Ryder, who was once rumored to be gay, finally found a girlfriend.

Cilian was over the moon and even cut his trip short to rush back home.

He even hoped they could tie the knot right away.

But who would’ve expected, the girl Ryder brought home turned out to be his ex–aunt.

And to top it off, his most trusted assistant, the general manager of the Thomas Group’s fiancé turned

out to be Ryder’s uncle. Nôvel/Dr(a)ma.Org - Content owner.

The Thomas family, having weathered so many storms, still kept their cool.

Anyone else would’ve lost their marbles by now.

Laura, however, knew the twisted ties.

Valeria and Ryder were the top dogs in the Thomas family

One had the reins to the Thomas Group, the other was the heir apparent.

Beatrice was just clueless, ticking off both of them at once.

The engagement could’ve been reconsidered, but her antics might stir up a storm.

Laura quickly stood up to mediate, “Beatrice is drunk, she’s had a few too many. Let me take her back

to her room to rest.”

As she spoke, Laura tried to drag Beatrice away.

But Beatrice wouldn’t budge. She said to Valeria, “Valeria, you know my brother–in–law doesn’t love

you. Why do you still want to marry him? Will you be happy marrying someone who doesn’t love you?”

Valeria suddenly stood up, and with a chilling, sarcastic smile, she said, “Beatrice; you’re stirring up

trouble here just for yourself. What’s the point of mimicking your sister all these years? You want to

sabotage my engagement, and you’re using your sister as a shield. Do you think you can get away

freely? Do you think Jared doesn’t know about your pretend memory loss and mimicry of your sister?

He hasn’t exposed you only because he doesn’t want to. To us, your actions have always been nothing

more than a pathetic clown show.”

Valeria didn’t hold back against Beatrice, and she exposed Beatrice right in front of Laura.

Over the years, Valeria has been busy with work and hardly came home.

But she never took Laura and Beatrice seriously.
