FINN VISITED ME

Rita’s POV

“What a really really nice abode you’ve got” Finn said, he started inspecting the house as I let him come in.

“Th… Thank you” I stuttered. “Please have a seat” I gestured him to the couch since he won’t stop looking around.

After he sat down, I sighed heavily then went to serve him a very cold fruity drink.

“Enjoy, it’s.. it’s all I got in the fridge” I said as I poured the drink into a glass and handled it over to him.

I sat uncomfortably on the next couch and watched him gulped it.

“Rita, did you think about what I told you yesterday? You should be excited the boss wanna be close with you” Finn said.

“We could be just friends sir” I managed to say.

“Do away with the sir. Finn, it’s Finn and what do you mean we could just friends? Do you have a boyfriend?”

I didn’t respond.

“Looks like you already know that I want to be your friend, so that I could be more than friend?” He smiled mischievously.

“Your mother, Mrs Blakeston never visited me nor any other colleagues except if it is business related. Why are you here Mr Finn Lakston” I thought calling him by his full name will sound a little formal.

“I came to check up on an employee of mine and you’ld be the first I’m paying a visit” He replied.

“Your mom never checked up on …”

He interrupted me.

“I am interested in you Rita, I’m afraid I really like you and would wanna date with you” Finn said boldly and arrogantly like the CEO he was.

The statement that ‘bosses make sure to get whatever they want is right but no, I can’t date Finn.

I scoffed; “I’m sorry, I can’t do this with you. I can’t date you, I can’t even be your intimate friend but I have accepted to be your friend, just a friend and i’ld be glad if you would continue being a nice boss towards me even after I have just turned you down” I said and picked up my phone. I clicked on Kikachat to reply all of Zane’s messages and I informed him I was no longer mad at him.

“So you do have a boyfriend” He grited his teeth, coldly and heartbroken. “Okay! I would only be friends with you if you will date me” He said.

Huh? How’s that supposed to be possible?

He stood up and headed to my door: “And if you truly have a boyfriend, let me know when you’re single again” He lastly uttered and walked out of my house.

Jeez! Billionaire CEOs are proud and full of themselves. Does he really think I won’t turn him down because of his reputable position??

Ugh! I smirked and picked up my phone, oops! Zane wouldn’t stop texting me.

“I’m so sorry my love” I sent that to him and as soon as he read the text, he switched to a voice call and I picked it up in a jiffy.

“Rita, my love” He cried.

“Zane baby” I responded smiling like he could see me.

“I am sorry” We said at the same time.

“I’m sorry about last night. We could do a video call right away. I….” Zane said but I interrupted him.

“Nevermind Zane, it’s fine. I am sorry, I said harsh words to you last night. It’s really not how I am” I apologized sincerely.

“No dear, you didn’t do anything wrong. Asking for my picture or a video call with me is right and normal. The reason I disagreed and overreacted is because I.. I am ….” I interrupted him again.

“I said it’s fine” I repeated, I don’t want him to repeat what Mrs Janet Johnson had told me about his scar.

“Are you sure you don’t wanna see me yet?” He asked.

“Like I’ve said, your sweet and romantic voice is more than enough” I repeated.

“I miss us Rita” He said.

“I miss us too, Zane. I am very sorry for ignoring you for almost twenty four hours”

“Less than twenty four hours without hearing from you is like a century. It is like a torture I will never ever forget” Zane cried out.

“I’m sorry I hurt you a lot”

“But I was the one who hurt you” He argued.

“No, I … I hurt you more” I insisted “I said those insultive words, like I was literally making a mockery of you”
