chapter 3

It had been an entire week ever since she had found out Dante was her mate and ever since she had

been living with him in the mansion.

After James and Sophia cajoled him, Dante finally gave into letting Venus out of her room, and allowing

her to walk around. The both of them even took Venus shopping for clothes, shoes and other

necessities to a mall.

Her routine was quiet simple, wake up, join Dante for breakfast which consisted on no conversing from

both sides, then she would walk around the gardens, James after finding out that Venus knew how to

paint insisted on buying her the tools.

So she painted when she felt, then she would have lunch, chit chat with Mary and later Sophia and

James would hang out with her, or they would take her out with them.

Venus also had learnt over the last week that despite the scary look that Knox painted he was an utter

sweetheart, he was very protective and possessive of Sophia, while Gabriel didn't show much emotion

in front of others, he was very playful when he was with his close friends, like the other day Venus was

walking down the corridor only to see James and Gabriel in a heated make out session, when she

squeaked she got their attention, James covered his face in his hands while Gabriel smirked and

slapped his ass which led to Venus running to her room like her life depended on it.

On the other hand with Dante, there was no avail.

She barely saw him, and when she did he would walk past her as if she didn't even exist, it tore at her

heart but she didn't let it show, her wolf was exhausted, from the lack of communication from the

human side, what kept Kaya going was that Dantes lycan, Lorenzo, was more than willing to mark and

mate her as Kaya had explained to Venus, she said that when Lorenzo reached out to her, he told

Kaya to stay, not to leave him.

It made Venus ache seeing that her wolf and his lycan wanted to be together but because of hers and

Dantes lack of communication they were suffering.

Lorenzo as Kaya explained only showed emotion to her, he was very possessive of her, he made her

feel safe.

The next day Venus woke up, she had slept of 9 hours straight but she still felt tired and restless, she

moved out of bed and into the shower, walked out and wore a shorts dungaree with a black top under

and black adidas shoes.

She let her hair loose expect made a lil bun on the top of her head.

She walked down to the kitchen and the sight at greeted her made her stop short.

A tall, beautiful redhead, stood in the kitchen, making pancakes, wearing nothing but a shirt that did not

belong to her.

It was Dantes shirt.

Venus suddenly felt numb ... He was sleeping around.

The stunning redhead turned around and her eyes connected with bright azure coloured eyes, she was

stunning, with full lips, slender legs, and the body of a Victoria Secret model.

Venus swallowed the lump in her throat, her head hurt.

The redhead smiled widely at Venus, it was polite.

"Well hello there, i haven't seen you here before," she spoke, her voice soft and very feminine.

Venus forced a smile onto her face, as she repeated to herself in her head,

"Hey, yes I'm actually ah- a friend of Sophia's, i will be staying here for a while," venus said, smiling at

the woman in front of her.

"Oh i see," she said, frowning lightly, but never letting her smile waver.

"Oh I'm sorry where are my manners, I'm Ariana, I'm Dantes mate, i was just cooking up his breakfast,

can i get you anything?"

Venus felt her resolve crack, if someone shot her in the heart it would had done less damage than what

she felt at this moment, tears stung her eyes but she tried blinking them away, Ariana just looked away

when a tear fell, and Venus quickly wiped it away.

Ariana hummed and continued making a series of delicious foods, while Venus sat on a chair next to

the kitchen counter.

She couldn't be the mate for Dante, Ariana was, and apparently he had already chosen her, of course it

was her, she was stunning, she was all the one would want in a luna, she was perfect, perfect for him.

Why would he want me, i don't blame him, Venus thought, chuckling bitterly internally, she was plain.

She heard footsteps and both girls looked up to see Dante walk down the stairs, freshly showered,

wearing a black tee shirt that hugged his torso deliciously while he wore black jeans with a pair of black

nike shoes.

His eyes trailed down to the scene in front of him, Ariana in his shirt cooking, giving him a big smile and

Venus sitting in front of her, looking at him with wide accusing eyes, but it vanished and her face went

blank.

Her eyes darkened, her wolf was trying to push through.

Kaya was growling loudly in her head, how dare he, how dare he disrespect the both of them by

bringing a girl in the presence of his mate, fucking his whore in the same house his damn mate was, he

really didn't give a fuck about her.

Venus felt as if she was about to burst, Kaya was pushing through and she couldn't stop her.

Her eyes darkened, all while looking at Dante, who had a frown on his face.

Venus sprinted out of her chair and ran as fast as she could out of the kitchen and out the front door.

Dante followed her quick enough to see her jump off the front porch and shift into her wold midair, her

clothes tore right apart.

As he watched a pecan coloured wolf run across the gardens and disappear into the woods, he sighed.

A pair of arms wrapped around his torso, he looked around to see Ariana with a seductive smile on her

pink lips.

His lycan Lorenzo was angered that Dante would do such a thing to Venus, let another girl into the

house with his mate in it.

"Baby we didn't complete what we started last night," she purred.

Dante looked out the front door again, as if looking out for something, he then looked at Ariana, cupped

her face roughly and slammed his lips onto hers.

Kissing her passionately, a hard demanding kiss, as Ariana moaned.

She wrapped her arms around him, running her finger tips across his ink covered thick arms.

Venus was quiet, she let Kaya take control, as she watched from the back of her mind.

She didn't feel like shifting back and facing reality.

After a while she made way to James house, she remembered his house from when he took her there.

She ran her paws across the wooden door, hoping it would catch their attention, she didn't have clothes

to wear if she shifted back.

The door opened to see a sleepy Gabriel, he looked down to see a beautiful pecan coloured wolf,

smiling wolfishly at him.

Venus.

He rolled his eyes and let her in, gave her one of James spare shirt which she put on, it reached her

knees.

Just in time James came down,

"Venus, oh what a lovely surprise!" He exclaimed, hugging her.

She hugged him back half heartedly.

He sensed something was wrong.

"Venus, what is it?" James asked, rubbing her back soothingly.

"Do you know Ariana?" Venus asked, her voice thick with emotion.

Gabriel who had been watching the whole ordeal while leaning against the door, stiffened when he

heard the she-wolfs name.

Shes the girl that dante had recently started bedding. He didnt think she would be a problem now that

Venus was Dantes mate!

"What did you say," Gabriel grunted out.

"Ariana, I-I came down this morning, she was in the kitchen, wearing Dantes shirt-" and tears started

streaming down her face.

Gabriel and James shared the same wide eyed look, cheating upon a mate was a disrespect not only

to the mate but to the mood goddess and it was highly frowned upon.

"Oh sweetie, that dickhead, I'm so sorry," james said with sympathy, holding Venus as she cried,

heartbreaking sobs wracked her body.

Not even a week after she had found her mate and here she was, a broken mess.

Gabriel came and patted Venus on the back, this courageous girl was supposed to be their luna, ever

since she had step foot into the pack, it was an instinct for all pack members to be protective of her,

making sure no one harmed the luna, even if most of them didn't know, it was a natural instinct.

"Venus i think i have an idea," Gabriel said thoughtfully.

Venus wiped her tears, her doe eyes bloodshot.

"What is it?" She asked, looking at the Gamma who now had a master plan forming in his mind.

"Well ...," he trailed off.
