Chapter 72~ The Williams' plan
At the Williams' mansion.
Ivy paced around in her room, her heart racing erratically.
She hadn't heard anything about Lora. Was she dead?
What if she got saved on time like six years ago?
Ivy's stomach churned. She had to make sure Lora was dead because she already knew her secret.
Leaving her room, she went to her father's study.
"Dad, can you find out from your friend, Mr Davis if Lora is still alive?" Ivy asked her father.
David Williams frowned. He glanced at his daughter and questioned, "What did you do?"
"I... she was getting in the way. I had to get rid of her-"
"I told you not to get involved in such things! Didn't I say I would handle it? Why couldn't you make Ryan fall in love with you after the path that we set for you? You wasted it and his heart got stolen by someone else!" David yelled, his nostrils flaring in anger.
"I tried, Dad! I did everything I could but even the guilt of my legs couldn't make Ryan love me! I was desperate... please find out for me. She can't stay alive," Ivy pleaded, her eyes welling up with tears.
Everything would be over if Lora survived and told Ryan what she knew.
David Williams sighed, his daughter's tears getting to him. He had always given Ivy whatever she wanted.
"Fine, I'll call Jack. However, he's been avoiding me, so I don't know if he will respond," David replied.
He took out his phone and dialled Jack Davis' number. Fortunately, Jack answered after a few rings.
"Hello, my friend. Long time," David said on the phone. "I heard that your daughter was kidnapped. Have you found her? I was calling to offer my help."
As David talked on the phone, Ivy waited with bated breath. If Lora was dead, Ryan would be hers forever. She didn't regret what she did and she would do it again if it meant getting rid of someone who wanted to steal her man.
A few minutes later, David cut the call and looked at his daughter. He said, "You're in luck tonight. Lora Davis died in the fire and they will be holding a funeral for her soon."
Ivy's eyes widened before a huge smile crossed her lips. She exclaimed, "Yes! I can finally marry Ryan, Dad! I'll be Mrs Kingsley very soon and you can also get what you want."
David nodded proudly and remarked, "That's right. Once the Kingsleys become our in-laws, I'll demand the preserved piece of land in the west that I've been eying for decades. That place has some rare stones that the Kingsleys kept to themselves. Once you marry Ryan, that place will fall into our hands."
A wicked smirk crossed David's lips. It seems whatever he had done in the past was worth it. Now his daughter would marry the man she wanted and he would also get what he's always desired for decades.
When Ivy returned to her room, she received a call from Ryan.
Her heart raced, wondering why Ryan was suddenly calling. Did he find out about what she did?
"Hello, Ryan? You left so suddenly during our ceremony but the guards told me that Lora was missing. Have you found her?" Ivy asked, feigning concern. "Yeah... I'm sorry I left like that. Let me make it up to you... how about we hold the ceremony again in a few days?" Ryan suggested on the phone. When Ivy heard that, her heart leaped with joy.
'Ryan must have decided to marry me after finding Lora dead. My plan worked!' She thought in her mind.
"Of course! I understand why you ranContent is © by NôvelDrama.Org.
away like that... Lora was once your work partner so you couldn't ignore her. We can redo the ceremony in a few days. How's Lora by the way? Has she returned home?" Ivy asked, her voice sweet and soft.
Silence fell over the phone.
Ryan sighed before saying in a low voice, "She's dead."
Ivy fake gasped. "Oh my God! What happened?"
"I'll tell you about it later. You rest," Ryan said before cutting the call.
Ivy didn't mind Ryan's lack of affection. As long as Ryan had

engagement ceremony, she didn't care about anything else.
Meanwhile, at the hospital, Ryan's eyebrows creased in irritation. He hissed, "The more I get to know the real Ivy, the more disgusted I am with myself." Adan sighed and put Ryan's phone on the bedside table. He remarked, "I'm glad her mask has been removed before you made the mistake of marrying her."
"I wasn't going to marry her," Ryan claimed. "I was just stalling."
"Yeah... just be careful so that she doesn't find out Lora is alive. I'll be back... I still need to talk to the police," Adan said and left the ward.
Ryan glanced at Lora and asked, "Have you heard what he said? So, you have to stay beside me before we expose Ivy."
Lora frowned and replied, "I can stay home. What's your plan anyway?"
"You will see it in a few days. I want everyone to know who Ivy Williams really is before I throw her in jail," Ryan declared.
The door to the ward suddenly opened and in walked Charles Kingsley and Diane Kingsley.
"Ryan, Lora! The two of you are ok! Thank God!" Charles rushed towards Lora and held her hands. "When I heard that you were trapped in a fire again was so afraid, Larisa. I'm so happy Ryan has saved you this time." ,
Ryan frowned at his grandfather. He questioned, "Did you already know Lora is Larisa?"
Charles scoffed and glared at his grandson. He said, "Unlike you, I'm not dumb! How could you not recognise your own wife?" Diane gasped! She clamped a hand over her mouth and tears rolled down her cheeks.
"You're really Larisa! You're alive!"
Lora blushed and replied shyly, "Um... yes. I'm sorry for lying-"
Before Lora could tell what was happening, Diane approached her and wrapped her arms around her.
"Thank you for being alive! My brother can finally be happy!" Diane remarked.
She pulled back and looked between Lora and Ryan before asking, "Are you two back together?"
"Soon."
"No."
Ryan and Lora answered at the same time and silence fell over the room.
